7361  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Fraud Investigation on: July 06, 2018, 09:25:06 PM
I am an early Bitcoininvestor and I was really fortunate so far. I came into Cryptocurrencies because I believed (and still do) that it will make our world a better place. Unfortunately everything related to money also attracts fraudsters/imposters of any kind. I would like to give back to the community by dedicating some time into investigation some frauds that i come across.
You're welcome. You might as well give the community back in terms of donating to the open source projects based for bitcoin. Electrum being a good example. Smiley You don't have to worry about ICO frauds, in a coming few months, FBI will do that for us.

I have extensiv forensic experience as an accountant and former employee of a government regulation body. I will try to use my expertise and help the community to see the truth behind scams/frauds and bad/greedy people and bring them to justice.
That sounds great! Can you help a given scam company to be taken to the court or file an allegation against them? For instance, YoBit exchange have robbed thousands of dollars from the traders and yet they're operating nicely.

Following up this question since I do have the same on my mind and seems op didn't respond any comments and suggestion on this thread.
About taken to the court and file an allegation would really require too much effort and time, even though you do dedicate yourself into helping the community thru investigations even solving a single problem wont really be that easy. I'm not underestimating op for his dedication and seriousness on what he aims but let the authorities do their jobs.  Wink
7362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: July 06, 2018, 07:34:58 PM
The Dude is done but i guess he can still sell a fight and make good money from his fame even though he might end up loosing so i think so long as he doesn't see anything wrong in tarnishing his reputation by loosing fights then we should leave him to make his money. It's good business dude!
Even if Senator Manny can still fill arenas, that doesn't mean its not the time to hang up the gloves yet. What Manny's camp should look at is his capacity to fight, can he still fight younger boxers and win. Manny is already a Legend and a future hall of famer. I would rather see him hang up the gloves while he is still on very good shape, than retire because someone knocked him out cold.

Exactly, he's already a legend but maybe he still want to have a fight so he can earn more money and make all the Filipinos proud again. This is a real business now, because even if he lose the money will come to him. I hope this fight will be a clean one not like those previous fight which Manny really won but the result is different.

I don’t think it’s for the money anymore. He’s already rich enough to retire and be able to sustain his family until he dies. I think that boxing is really his passion and it’s the only thing that he knows to do and can do. Even while he’s a senator and living comfortably, he still chooses to continue fighting. I think it’s bad for him and that he should already retire since from the previous fights, it looks like he has not been performing as well as before plus he’s already getting old. As we should all know, these fights are usually manipulated and betters may have been wanting to see new fighters and winners.

It may be both. Pacquiao loves to fight but he also has problems with the IRS (rumors say). He also needs the money to keep funding his political campaign and other projects in Philippine. If I was him I would keep fighting for as long as I can physically do it without risking my health too much. He is now in a position where every single fight will be a big pay day, even if it's against more mediocre fighters. Keep making money while it lasts, age catches up on everyone eventually.
He doesn't need funding yet hes already on the position in the government and projects would be funded itself by the gov't. No doubt he do still have the passion for boxing since this is the thing that do lift him up to reach out financial freedom and popularity but basing on health I think it is already enough and theres nothing more to prove out. About the problem on IRS I think its already been resolved and as long you do have the money those wont really be a big issue.

For the upcoming fight his opponent would really be that easy to beat of considering on the current age and performance of pacquiao he would really have a hard time on it.
7363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which instant Crypto-to-Crypto exchange ? on: July 06, 2018, 06:43:10 PM
The best exchanges on which you can instantly exchange one crypto currency for another are Bitfinex, Poloniex and of course Kucoin. Was glad to help.
You didn't help, because the question was about "instant exchanges" which there are only two of that I know, and OP mentioned both of them.

I like both Changelly and Shapeshift, but I can't use the latter because I'm a US resident.  And Changelly doesn't support Dash anymore, which is one of the coins I buy when I buy any at all, so I haven't used them in a while.  I heard that there was some sort of "maintenance" going on with something regarding Dash, but it's been going on for quite a while and never was clear what the issue was anyway.  Gotta love the complete lack of transparency at these places.

Other than that, they're both pretty good services IMO.  Never had a problem with either one of them, and it beats using an exchange.
I'm aware of Changelly but haven't test it out to use their service because I do always end up on using Shapeshift when it comes to direct conversion and the thing I do like with these sites is the convenience that it gives just up up asked informations in a matter of seconds then viola exchange done but somehow when it comes to Fees they are little bit higher compared to exchangers.
7364  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-07-06] South Korea is Officially Recognizing Crypto Exchanges as Regulated on: July 06, 2018, 06:11:44 PM
There was so much buzz about South Korea being totally against bitcoin and other crypto currencues .
I also heard about its opposition towards ICOS . But it is very appreciable that they finally decided to give a positive verdict on bitcoin and its legality in their country . This is an another milestone since so many ICOs comes from Korea.
Not only on South Korea but in almost big and influential countries too but the good thing here is that they do revert their decision that's why I don't lose hope for those countries to take the same decision later on where they do change their views about crypto and adopt it instead of blocking it and now we are seeing South Korea is doing it. This is a very positive news yet we do know on how big the market is in Korea.
So what country will be next?
7365  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best Exchange to Buy BTC on: July 06, 2018, 05:44:30 PM
Do you want to buy bitcoin with fiat or you are talking about exchange to trade altcoins because from what I know kucoin doesn't have any fiat pairs other than tether pairs which is not a real fiat.

Kucoin will also be forcing KYC very soon so its better to not put all you have there. What I find best till now is binance, use them they have nice support and till now not big problem.

But if you really want to buy some bitcoin with your local fiat than you should check for local exchange in your country or check exchange platforms like coinbase, bitpanda etc whether they support your country or not.
Just basing on the topic title  Best Exchange to Buy BTC then he do definitely mean about buying which I gotta say the same thing that kucoin doesn't have any fiat we can see it here https://www.kucoin.com/#/markets on USDT tab which same as you said I don't even treat it as a real fiat  Grin
There are lots of options but first step on op, he should seek out for local exchange based on his location if he cant find up then try localbitcoins.
7366  Economy / Gambling / Re: Invest in Gaming Website on: July 06, 2018, 05:18:00 PM
All what you have said isn't enough to make someone your investor. Do you have the website published or you are still in the testing phase?

I'm not sure if I'll invest with your gaming website but at least put all the necessary details on why investors should invest to your project.

Creating FAQ and answers will help you either.

Doesn't even showed up the particular site into the public so that we would able to see if this would be a good or potential business to invest on.A very bad way of proposing his project Imho!

probably, not the best section to be posting this at
if you are looking for coders or investors, try: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=12.0
also you are spamming posts with less than 10 minutes interval, this is not how you keep your topic at the top

For a newbie doesn't even know the rules would definitely done ban-able offense  Grin

7367  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-07-05] Bitcoin’s Next Big Battle: Restoring its Reputation on: July 05, 2018, 09:01:10 PM
I don't think that it is the main reason why big money investors is not coming in to Bitcoin because of its reputatiom when it comes to being a dark web money but Bitcoin failing to have full legal recognition right now its full legal identoty is still in question. Investors won't be putting their money on assets that have the chance to be illegal anytime which means that its price will get affected really fast and the investor's money will be putting itself at risk.
+1

Even now we are currently seeing funds being taken out on traditional investment- Stocks  where these things are somehow legalized and with do have proper back up. When it comes to bitcoin reputation theres no doubt that traditional investors would most likely to check out its security and legality because even myself wouldn't entrust out fully my funds into things aren't insured.
So I don't see a reason for bitcoin to restore its reputation because this is just being used up by people and the ones who would need to be blamed are those who use it on illegal way but well we know the best feature of btc is on its anonymity.
7368  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 🔥🔥The world's first bometric hardware crypto wallet - Unikeys' UKey Card🔥🔥 on: July 05, 2018, 08:08:58 PM
"The EMV chip allows you to safely cash in and cash out at affiliated cryptocurrency ATMs." - Which Cryptocurrency ATMs

signed up for this? I browsed through your site and found no strategic partnerships with well known Cryptocurrency ATM

manufacturers? ...Can your card work without the software App, if your company goes bankrupt?  Huh
Same question since they do mention about EMV chip which do really need to have partnership with crypto ATM tried to search up to in their site https://www.unikeys.io/
but I failed to see such info. Hope op will clarify this concern.
7369  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is Coinbase a safe wallet ? on: July 05, 2018, 07:10:23 PM
Coinbase is the safest wallet if you follow their security because there is huge community using the coinbase for many years, now slowly they are adding many coins for buying with the cards. Recently i heard they got a license for operating but from which country i don't know exactly.
But it is still not safeplace to store our coins because they don't have our private keys while using coinbase wallets so we can't import our funds to somewhere while there is an issue.First of all it is an exchange so we don't have to use them as wallet we really need to have some wallets like electrum for storing our bitcoin.
Coinbase was used by many bitcoin users and I think they are safe to use but the only problem is if coinbase site will down we don't have any backup seed or private keys to recover it in the future.

So if you wanted to save your bitcoin for a long time use a wallet which is you can backup the private key and seed phrase.
Coinbase is just for temporary use and don't save large amount of bitcoin.
Duration on how long is the service been operating doesn't signify that it is considered to be safe because when we do use up that word its 100% risk free on losing up coins. There are lots of things to be considered or to check out on coinbase and as being said you don't possess your private keys which once they do shut down then your coins would go the same way but somehow they are regulated which its hard to believe that recovery of funds wont be focused out. Second, just like any other exchange under governments regulation once you violate their ToS then you are subject to be hold up.

What makes you stand out from other Bustabit v1 clones?

Also...

~ that's from https://www.bustabit.com/license.txt
Was suppose to post and bust out the same thing about that license thing. I had merited this answer though. This is just an another add up of bustabit clone sites in the market.
I don`t understand something. What makes this game a "social gambling" game?
When I do surf out the site that big font The Social Gambling game do caught my attention and do also ask questions on my mind on how this thing becomes a social game? Its not relevant no matter which angle would I try to seek.
7371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Attention bounty hunters - Amazix is scam! on: July 05, 2018, 06:01:00 PM
First of all these kind of complaints would be suited or its proper to be posted on this board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 so that anyone can able to make insights and comments specially into the team that have been complained.

Not part of any bounty campaigns (except for signature as you can tell), but from what I've seen so far coming up in Amazix complaints, most of the bounty hunters, including the ones posting in this thread, don't seem to have a case. I mean, OP's post actually admits plagiarism, which gets you Red Trust and even ban on this forum.

And the second complaint, managers have the right to change stakes and ratings, as they see fit. That's their job. Why would they scam you when bounty allocations are fixed? As in, all bounties go to participants. Not to managers. This is for all managers.

Most bounty hunters complain, and I have no sympathies for them. They have poor content, poor work ethics, and have no regard for the actual project they promote.
I do read up and I do ask on what op is trying to prove in here yet those accusations or decisions would always be depending on the management itself. If they do find out plagiarism then you cant do anything about it and as being said its ban-able offense into this forum.

How to upload spreadsheet here on BTC forums as these guys have become very naughty and they are ridiculous.
What you mean spreadsheet screenshot or link?
If link then you can simply post it out and when its image then you can make use tinypic or imgur.
7372  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Do you trust your Bitcoin exchange? on: July 05, 2018, 05:04:20 PM
The only thing I don't like is how people nowadays just assume that an exchange wil reimburse them in case there is a hack or other forms of coin loss. It's almost seen as a form of insurance.

The last few exchanges that were hacked are planning to do the same as far as I know, and that comforts people too much. It's great that exchanges do this and it's the only right way, but it's not guaranteed to happen.

You said it! It's one of the reasons why some people are using exchanges in a laid back attitude, like nothing can go wrong. This is not hacking but coinsmarkets.com run away with their user's money, apparently despite being new (registered in 2017-03-09) people still deposited huge amounts of money. Risk assessment/precautionary measures shouldn't be optional but obligatory.

There must be a better way or strategy to reduce the risk for people to lose large amounts of money, when these exchanges gets hacked.  Huh

Others have already suggested some of it which is surprisingly what I do too but I believe the most crucial part of these is picking an exchange, it starts with that.
Before we assume the hacking, let's first assess the odds of it happening first. Pick an exchange where there's a low chance; competent.

Then again these measures isn't something that guarantees your fund's safety, it will only alleviate risks.
It isn't really hard to choose up an exchange yet we can easily make a research about exchangers and we would able to spot out which one is on the top and we can already presume that they are really good when it comes to security but as being said its not a guarantee but you will able to build confidence. Risk management should always be followed.
I agree that people do trust out because of that "reimburse" thing but those are just applicable for exchange on top which they will definitely do because they do need to protect their ranking and they know they can able to break even when people do still use up their service.
7373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deposit Altcoins and withdraw bitcoin? on: July 05, 2018, 04:37:52 PM
Are there any sportsbooks that allow you to deposit ETH or Litecoin and withdraw in bitcoin?

Trying to figure out if any sites offer that with out having to withdraw/convert or trade, drawing fees in the process.

I'm curious to know, why you want to do that while it is so simple to convert your eth/ltc or other alts to bitcoin and you will be able to deposit with bitcoin. Even if there is sportsbook or a gambling site lets you to do it, I guess the exchange rate will be under the global rate which means that you may get less amount.
He already said up:

Trying to figure out if any sites offer that with out having to withdraw/convert or trade, drawing fees in the process.

which basically he do tried to avoid fees on such conversions which I don't think up such one to have that feature because anything that do need conversions will definitely have fees involved.

Hello ethan_nx,

I am participant of the Yolo signature campaign from last couple of months and had my login details saved on my internet. Some time back I deleted the cache and due to which all the details also got erased. I have my login details like login id, Yolo Id but while trying with I get a message that login invalid. Try again?. I had not activated 2FA and now how can I login back or incase if need to reset the password what should be done?
Ive seen theres no forgot password links on that log-in area which you would need up to put login credentials and password , 2fa optional.
You can also logged with master address. Have you save up it too?
Have you tried out to reach them in their chat about your issue?

Last resort reach them via email yolodice@zoho.com

I had not setup the master address. I used to login with login and password. Regarding chat again it asks me to login first and then only I can chat .

Just mailed on the id provided. Also have PM ethan_nx couple of days back.

Oh i forgot you would need to logged in before you can chat so therefore contacting them thru email and on this forum account is the best way.For now you dont have anything to do but to wait up for them to respond since they are the only ones can help you out.

7376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: July 03, 2018, 11:34:54 PM
Wow what an unbelievable free agency this year. We were all expecting Lebron to go somewhere, quite possibly lakers but I guess noone saw Cousins deal. Warriors are becoming so unentertaining these years. I get that without Durant they lost but they were still great. With the addition of durant they became the best team ever assembled, now they add Cousins on top of that? The only missing position ?

Curry-Klay-Durant-Green-Cousins will win it all without a trouble. People keep talking about how Cousins got injured and all that but its Cousins, his worse play will still be better than zaza or mcgee. Even if lakers get kawhi, it will not be enough at all. All there is to hope is for warriors to break apart next year when contracts are up.
People are already making judgement about Lakers team will definitely get the Western or even the championship because of the new roster without even considering on the 5th spot on GSW which this team much more harder to beat up.
Next year would be really interesting because these teams making up to be a powerhouse. Anything needs coordination and it would takes time specially with Lebron and rondo?  Grin
7377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: coinmarketcap or cryptocompare - which is better? on: July 03, 2018, 11:09:51 PM
It doesn't matter which service you use, coinmarketcap , cryptocompare , livecoinwatch or any other. It just coinmarketcap was one of the first one to be created. so it has some benefits among the others
Now there are a lot of analogues. But I use coinmarketcap, because it is more convenient, and a little cryptocompare.
Not only just convenient but also it do already have the feature that you do want. Like on those tabs like market, 24 hour volume and we can able to see up the rankings and thats a good thing as a preference and when it comes to popularity then theres no doubt CMC do have it. I didnt even hear about cryptocompare though since this post is how many years old back but CMC do manage to reach upto these days.

I think there are many services that we can use, but it all depends on each one. because this is an option that will be able to make a guarantee for the future in determining this choice.
It would always matter with our choice but we cant avoid the fact that coinmarketcap has it all but recent issues about data updates do put up some users to doubt. I dont know if its already been fixed.
7378  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-07-02] BILLIONS lost from rival cryptocurrencies as ‘DEAD LIST’ on: July 03, 2018, 10:23:03 PM
The main culprit in this shitcoin shitshow is Ethereum - at the early days scammers were making copycat coins and then pumped and dumped them, usually involving a premine. But Ethereum has changed that, now scammers don't need to create forks, they just make ERC20 token and sell it for ETH via ICO - the only work left is to make a site and whitepaper and promote their scam on social media. Perhaps in a few years people will be treating ICO's like people treat cloud mining and only the newest newbs will get involved in them.

We are really heading into that situation where ICO's would already have the reputation or get the impression similar to a cloud mining site which would really be an unpleasant thing to be heard about.
For those people who do have the knowledge on coding and programing do took advantage on such hype and this is a best spot to be a millionaire in a short span of time for its creator and to those people who do lost up money then most probably they do already have those negative impressions towards new projects.
7379  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 2.3 million Bitcoin [BTC] addresses monitored by clipboard hijacking malware on: July 03, 2018, 09:46:01 PM
A normal and a classical way of hacking others funds. I dont get the point about that 2.3M btc addresses monitored by hijacking malware. How they do make such thing? They can anytime see wallets balance but the question is how they would execute hacking if the user do set out maximum security either those addresses are cold ones or simply stored on hardware. Theres no way or such thing that can bypass a wallet so therefore this kind of claim is total bullshit. Even myself can monitor a big balanced wallet. Then? What thing can you do?
7380  Economy / Gambling / Re: GoUp.bet | Provably Fair Dice | *** 10 LTC Promo Started *** on: July 03, 2018, 04:27:26 PM
Nice gambling competition going there. Might I suggest that also separate prize pools be happening for most wagered, or most % of profit? Not that I've anything against whales but someone with a big bankroll can of course get very high up those leaderboards, while someone with smaller bankrolls might never have a chance, unless you put in some kind of incentive like wagering, or even % (and the prize can adjust to the amount wagered). You want to encourage long term players too, right?
That would be more appealing if prize pool would be separated rather than having just one or general recognition of prize on the player that do make profits the most which whales would always have the advantage but still on the total amount which supposed to be on top 5 ltc for the 1st spot wont really be appealing for whales. Currently value on $430 which this would be targetted out with small time players though.
Primedice is the first dice site, Basically every dice site there is is based on their concept. So, There could be unintentional similarities with them.

It still looks totally like Stake.com tbh.

I disagree.
Disagree or not, people would freely say on what they do observe which is actually the same thing i do saw too.  Wink
