743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is no.2 Sha256-network after Bitcoin? on: January 04, 2015, 03:13:23 PM

Unwantanium going to replace BTC?

lol

last time i heard someone say that was in a trollbox and it rose 200% in the days after that ...
not a children-coin
That's true about the rise.

I agree, I'm not sure that it will replace BTC but I'm pretty sure that it will be part of the basket of crypto that does...
744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: January 04, 2015, 02:41:13 PM
@tuaris good to see you here.  You recognized a good thing earlier than most of us here! Congrats! Smiley
@BCN, I like your list.

Thanks to $UNO, I am remarkably calm today, enjoying my morning coffeee, watching Btc burn on Bitcoinwisdom & Twitter with a strangly detached kind of feeling. It's that feeling that Noah must have had the day he discovered that his ark really did float.

Go #StoreOfValue !

It is a great place to be. I just don't get why others have not yet got on the train as well.  Huh
745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: January 03, 2015, 11:09:36 PM
Has anybody noticed the order on 'Trex that appears and disappears like it was doing the other day?  Today it is for 71.42744899. Is that due to a bot gone bad?

@IMZ Yay for more fiat!

Welcome CashFlow!
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never buy ico: ByteCent, EQX, Sys, Craig, Vior... on: January 02, 2015, 11:25:12 PM
thank you for this information. its very important to warn everybody!!!

why doesn't bitcointalk ban every ICO from this forum?? it s destroying
altcoins. maybe 5 of 100 ICO is legit.

this was brought up in meta but they say they can't differenciate between scam and not-scam. Banning all of that shit would really be desireable for people here. Not even 5 out of 100 are legit.
Caveat Emptor!

zet isn't doing so well with the network. Look at transaction times. Is zet really faster than Un? Not much! With the weak network they have you'd need to take 10 confirms - so do they really benefit from sticking to it and NOT merging? I think they would benefit more from merging. UNO is blazing fast with the 3 minutes and very secure. 30 seconds ZET with weak network isn't secure at all. I think they might want to consider right now. Together we stand, devided we fall

I am all for zeta, and fully agree with these points (I've observed and thought exactly the same)
the BUT ... We have to convince them, and my guess is they are a tough crowd to convince, even in the face of bright and obvious truths.

nooo. Don't convince. Just throw the idea at them and see what happens Wink

maybe they want, maybe they don't - worth a try.
We are coming from a position of strength.  UNO is near a recent low, and still we are looking strong.
I completely agree with Benefactor, there was a comment in the ZET thread that $UNO would be the one to have to hardfork. I don't agree with the ZET poster. Coming from a position of strength, I believe that we should keep $UNO pure and no forks.

I would be against a merger.

Just curious, what is your aversion to a merged-mining situation with $UNO.

BTW, I haven't formed an opinion on the topic yet...
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: January 02, 2015, 04:03:03 PM
I don't really know anything about mining. I'm open to whatever the experts suggest. However, we have all put in a ton of time building the $UNO brand. I would merely suggested that we take extra caution in selecting any add-ons. Bad mergers produce disastrous results. DaimlerChrysler comes to mind also Sears Kmart?
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: January 02, 2015, 01:29:32 AM
Is the chain still alive? (Wow -- not much information available)

Baby baby steps: taking on a 'new' coin risks diluting Uno; but discussion is worth having (IMHO)

M
agree dont want to dilute $UNO

downloaded parallel wallet and it couldn't connect to anything...
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: December 31, 2014, 10:15:59 PM
What's up with adding / removing the 41.27525322 order every 15 seconds on Bittrex?

Is this a flaw in the system or what?

Z
I saw that too, must be a glitch because the BTC volume of $UNO remains unchanged even though that order appears and disappears...
753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BIG] BigBullion (SHA256) 10 Million Coins | Bounties - Trading on Bittrex on: December 31, 2014, 09:48:29 PM
The dev is pretty well-known.....

Yeah, for bullshitting - just look at his posts in this thread. I'd like to say I feel sorry for the miners who fell for his scam - but it was so obvious from the beginning, I just can't bring myself to say it...... Tongue
It was obvious. They should have been mining Unobtanium instead

----
DAILY plee to get UNO merge mining sooner than better.
[@blazr2 @BryceWeiner ... BIG ... is abandoned easy pickens and cool name]

case in point VERT
https://vertcoin.org/wp/details/
"merge-mine VTC, MON, PLX and other merge-mined coins on the VTC chain"

MON and PLX are free if you mine VTC
DOGE and UMbrella and SYS are free if you mine LTC
ix,io,dev, name are free bonus if you mine BTC

UN investors don't need to worry about the value or drama of a merged coin ... just as much as VTC investors don't worry about MON politics.

The value-added is attracting more hash power to SHA256/3min.

I think we are nearing the time to act.  Pick up one of these SHA256 that gained some notice but faded away and are just clinging on for dear life, or pitch to GOAT, ORO, MEA (since they are at 3min already).  For brand name symmetry I like UNB / UNIC / UNAT Tongue

I like the ticker shorthand - BIG (BigBullion) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=715904.0 and ORO (Orobit) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=490556.0 out of those merge mining candidate names.

I don't understand what merge mining is, but the promotional ideas are endless for a combined coin with BIG. Do you have the BIG UNO?  Shocked

Also, is coin-pool.org down?
755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Unobtanium In-House Exchange on: December 31, 2014, 02:53:50 AM
cragv, you clearly understand this better than I do -- but I definitely updated to 1.4.5. from within the Nxt wallet.
Mark, I did so as well...

Your Friendly Daily Reminder:

"Have You Traded UNO on Bittrex Today?"

I will not let Uno go quietly into that good night.
Yes,

BTC Vol
1.31066486 BTC
UNO Vol
238.03104757 UNO

I don't know why the warning is still there, we been trading > 1 BTC every day since you alerted us.  That' well over the average volume that they are asking for...

I believe that someone mentioned this before, but the Estonian online e-Residency would fix a lot of the security / fraud issues on UNO-Ex.

It appears that one will be able to apply without actually going to Estonia in the Spring.

@ B.C.: gotta say I'm not big on the idea of advertising. Let us develop a 'turning-away-from-the-screen' culture -- 'on-da-street': family, friends, colleagues, local merchants.

M
I agree. An organic approach is the best. I was just thinking it might help solve our constant, low-volume Bittrex trading issues...

I'll just keep some coin over there at Bittrex and buy and sell to myself if the volume is low on a given day.
760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where to buy ripples? on: December 29, 2014, 09:19:48 PM
I would be more than happy to sell you ripple coins at a (marked up) rate of 7,500 XRP (Ripple) per 1  BTC (This rate is subject to modification if the rate changes substantially to your favor - eg. ripple rate increases per BTC)

I wouldn't want to accept Paypal because its too risky.

You can convert your Paypal funds first to BTC and then we can perform this transaction.

You can withdraw your paypal funds to your bank account and then buy bitcoins via coinbase.

My transaction history    Trust: 93: -0 / +49(49)     I buy and sell for paypal and have for years.
Sublime is excellent on crytpo, PayPal, green dot, etc. I've traded with him many times using many methods of payments. Highly recommend.

Been a long time I hope you are doing well, Thanks for the bump.

I got what I need to for now, but will post here again when/if I need more.
Doing fine. Hit me up via email in the future if you need some and we'll get it to you.
