I don't know where the BitCoin value will settle in the future but the coin will hit the main street in the next few years like Paypal took a few years to be the common payment processing provider.

if the techs are able to come up with 2TH/S mining machines now days, in a few months, that number will be a lot greater and cheaper if they were to stay in the mining equipment business to beat the miners' operating expense vs ROI.

We need more easy way to exchange the coins to the local currencies to be more widely accepted by the merchants but I think it will get to that point one day.

as more merchants accept bitcoins, the market must grow and get stronger.  Question is is the price stay leveled or as more coins are minted in the next few months with the crazy TH/S mining rate, if the mining produce more coins than it needs or the other way around.

Any Generous boy/girl, can you give me a starter BTC?  1AHNusc3BQA2QJCokySAQ1Qtymr1ZyAG6P

747  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much will a bit coin cost in 3 years on: November 05, 2013, 09:59:57 PM
my guestimate...

It must rise to keep up as the process powers go up and cost more to mint the coins

Thanks!

To get a better idea, can you share how many bitcoins you are receiving per 24/hour (1day) of mining?

Thanks!

is MT Gox a bad one to use???  their exchange rate seems the highest

I see many experienced people on this forum use the exchange rate from MT Gox when they request some kind of trades...

What is the fair market value?  Published rate at BitPay or just look at multiple exchange listings and take something in between?

The price seems a bit higher for the localbitcoin guys

Why many people are selling these 500+ GH/S machines they just received in the box after 3-8 months of wait?

Almost all said, highly requested items and no one has them in stock for the immediate shipping.

I see iPhone release day, many people bought it and sould the iphone 5S for more than they paid for due to the limited supplies.  Is it the same with the mining machines?  or just because the long wait made these machines not so profitable or to get the original investment cost returned not so possible?
