How much confirmation does it wait for?
1 confirmation should do the job,
i just send 0.05 to my account to test it, it showed up on my balance as soon as it hits 1,
your (2nd) payment of 1.10 has 7 confirmations, so it should be on your balance and available to withdraw already.
742  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Randomizer, just a stupid pyramid scheme on: August 18, 2010, 05:43:47 PM
you can withdraw as often as you want, as long as your balance is >0,
no need to re-enter, although your free to open up a second/third/forth/... account if you wish to.

oh and btw, you can not overpay,
overpayed coins, or those received after account-activation are available to withdraw too.
you could even use your account as a mobile-wallet, just edit the bcaOUT to whatever address you want to send coins to.

ah, ok,

maybe i can catch one of the next ones to drop into your downline, i'll keep an eye on it.
745  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Randomizer, just a stupid pyramid scheme on: August 18, 2010, 03:30:31 PM
Use me as your sponsor so he doesn't take half the bitcoins upfront! Cheesy

http://fxnet.co.cc/?ref=14
gladly i was just checking the DB before the next user got activated,
so i just have put him/her under your account.
as soon as he/she's activated, you should get your share.  Cheesy

i think i'll work out a random-ref in case of no-ref, we'll see.
746  Economy / Marketplace / Re: List of honest traders. on: August 18, 2010, 02:08:08 PM
sabbers worked with me to find a way to complete the transaction.  Definitely a good trader.
did a few trades with sabbers and he seemed to be, so ...
I loaned bitcoins to Sabbers, and he paid them back promptly.
i loaned him some too (again),
he didn't pay them back within a week (his words),
actually he didnt't pay them back at all yet and didn't show up at all since.

so i'm not actually sure i can second the good trader part,
i guess i can call it a loss.

i wouldn't recommend to trust him.

update:
finally (about a week late) at least a reaction, no payment received yet.

update:
first he said within a week and didn't show up within 2,
then he said within 1-2days and didn't show up in 6.

don't take sabbers words for real.

i'll just give him a few more days before i add him to the list of scammers.

Warning: the randomizer has been hacked!
don't send any coins, check your account and withdraw what's left.
i'm trying to figure out what happened.

first things first: i'm sorry!
i know it's been a long time, i hope you'll forgive me someday.

haven't really been active in the last couple of months,
only logged in to the forums to delete some junk-posts on the german subforums when i read about them on my mails and didnt really do anything in the bitcoin-world besides that.

so what happened to the randomizer?
as mentioned, it got hacked and no, it wasn't me.
someone injected the mysql database, changed users passwords, logged in to users accounts and changed btc-addresses to withdraw available coins.
that way he was able to grab about 100-150 bitcoins, or something in that range.

i probably should have taken down the site completely immediately,
but i actually planned to get rid of the leaks and bring it back on track.
life sucks sometimes though and i had to care about some other, more serious stuff in my life,
so i never found some time to even take a closer look into it.

anyway, there's still about 145BTC left on the randomizer wallet, i never touched them at all
and i would be more than happy to hand them out, the only question is how to do it.
if i just allow everyone to withdraw their available balance, even the hacker will be able to login to those accounts he changed and might get some more coins, noone wants that.

i guess the only feasible way would be for you to mail me with your username from the email address you registered your account with (if that mail address doesnt exist, you should at least be able to tell me, what it was).
it might take some more time, cuz i'll have to check each request manually, but i think it'll work.

if that's ok with you, please send your requests to fxnet@bitlex.org
748  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: 0.3.10.1 Question on where block should be on: August 16, 2010, 12:13:49 AM
my forwarded node counts 74642 as i type (36conn.),
3 other nodes are still at 74638 (8conn. each)
the port-forwarded isnt a fast one though, limited to one core at about 700khash/s.

Satoshi said it needs to be before 74,000
He didn't, he said "you'll want one", not that it needs to be, a little different.
and if "..Only the blocks including and after the invalid block are invalid. All previous blocks are valid..", it doesn't need to be before 74000.

just wanted to save knightmb some time, but yours is bigger than mine anyway.  Grin

i'v got one of a w7-machine count 74602, if that helps.
752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How long to start generating BC's? on: August 15, 2010, 12:12:55 PM
over the long term your totally right, but we're talking about 4,5(+1,5) days here.

753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How long to start generating BC's? on: August 15, 2010, 11:38:44 AM
because you've been lucky on your first day and a half and had less luck since then.
block generation is kind of a lottery, you might win, or not,
it's not like you are supposed to generate a block each X hours/days.
754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coin generation participation survey on: August 14, 2010, 08:50:21 PM
1) Have you been using bitcoin for more than two months?
yes, for about 3 month

2) Are you currently attempting to generate coins?
yes, less enthusiastic than about a month ago though.

3) If not currently generating, have you attempted in the past? If generating, how long have you been generating?
for about 3 month

4) Have you ever succeeded in generating a block? Many blocks?
yes, 50something.

5) Why or why not do you generate? Purely profit-oriented comparison of cost of generation with market value in another currency? Just for fun? As a selfless contribution to the mathematical strength of the proof of work?
didn't cost me any more than buying coins from the market,...yet. not sure if you'd call that profit-oriented.
but i'm pretty close to a loss (if not at it) when generating already, so i think i'll stop trying to generate coins on most of my machines pretty soon and just leave some slower crunchers running, that dont take much power and/or running 24/7 anyway to do my part in stabilizing, without expecting them to win the lotto.
755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How long to start generating BC's? on: August 14, 2010, 01:25:06 PM
So, I heard about this on 8 August and fired it up on two machines ...
Did the rate of block generation slow down since the tenth?
No, it didn't,
last step up was on 5th August, next will be tomorrow i guess.

if you're running bitcoin with the server, you could just call 'getdifficulty',
or simply check the difficulty-history here.
756  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Sppliting/merging wallets on: August 07, 2010, 10:33:06 PM
dont care about transaction fees, i havent payed any so far (but i was lucky to get some) and did a lot of transactions.
just send them back and forth as u like, i doubt there's any way to "merge" wallet-files.
757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Clear Unused Recieving Addresses? on: August 07, 2010, 06:14:26 PM
As far as i know, there's no way to delete/remove an address,
once created it's yours till the end of days.
758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: sorry guys (and gals)! on: August 07, 2010, 06:12:47 PM
Are we creating a new currency or competing with PayPal and the like as a payment service?  The two are very, very different...and we're back here again...
Depends if your generating blocks or not.
If you do, it's both,
if not, your "only" competing with PayPal and the like.  Wink
759  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Web hosts that can be paid in bitcoins? on: August 06, 2010, 11:03:19 PM
Check out this page for a list of known services that accept Bitcoins as payment:
http://www.bitcoin.org/trade

For web hosting, there is vekja.net, and hostarium.com for VPSs.
cant find any offers there,
on vekja i dont see what is offered, except for that its webspace, but how much? what about php, mysql, traffic, etc?
seems like the owner finally adjusted its pricings, yesterday it still said 250bc/week.

dont know any russian, so hostarium isn't any better (in my case).

hopefully we'll see some more service-providers accepting BC soon.
760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: sorry guys (and gals)! on: August 06, 2010, 08:22:45 PM
That's exactly what i'm afraid of.
Now that you can't generate a block per day anymore, there's no reason for new users to stay for long, cuz they all just after getting "free" coins.

What's your hash-count?
