Let's crack block number 4! We've got about 150TH of base hash rate now, so we're growing . The current round is still under 120%, which means that if you find the block, you're getting 0.9 BTC bonus. So, let's knock it out of the park!

It was my pleasure to help and I'm glad I was able to keep the pool's downtime to a pretty small window. As always, feel free to reach out to me anytime and I'll help to the best of my ability.

Well... unfortunately nobody had the luck of the Irish yesterday. However, don't let that get you down because the other promotion is still going. Right now, if you find a block the block finder's bonus is 0.9 BTC. So, let's crack this thing wide open! Oh... and if we hit a block right now? It would include 0.75 BTC in fees
Only 5.75 hours left to claim the bonus! Who's going to be the lucky winner? Point your hash here and win!

Yeah, I bounced the stratum server and the bitcoin daemon this morning... made a couple changes to things behind the scenes. Since I moved to the new dedicated hardware, I've been tweaking things. Sorry about that failover - and if you noticed that one, you probably noticed the restart I did about an hour ago, too By the way, thanks for the retweet earlier!

Good luck to everyone today! Just over 13 hours left to win the luck-o-the-Irish block finder's prize.

The St Patrick's Day promo technically starts in 2 hours, but if either of you hits the block before then, I'll still give you the extra bonus. And yes, Phil, if the block is found prior to midnight tomorrow the finder will get 1BTC plus the 0.X coins from the currently running promo (right now it is 0.9BTC)

unknown on the blockchain means orphan?
Nope, those coins are valid. The unknown ones are all going to the same F1fxc... Wallet. Seems to me, we have a new 30PH mine online somewhere.. somehow. Unknown blocks does not mean an attack on the network, it simply means we have been unable to determine the origin. A lot of the newly seen "Unknown" blocks are actually mined by some new pool as can be seen in the coinbase sig: Mined by 1hash.com. It's a Chinese pool that apparently has about 35PH.

Yes, we both use the same base: NOMP stratum server with MPOS as the front end. He's done some UI work to change the theme on his site. Mine's the stock UI. I made changes under the covers in both the MPOS and NOMP codebases. And yeah, I don't know where the miner who had the 50TH went. I guess maybe it was a rental he had pointed to my pool for a while. Would definitely like to see him back - and a lot more miners joining, too

St Patrick's Day Promotion One day only, we're going to celebrate the luck of the Irish. Starting at 00:00:00 and going to 23:59:59 EDT on Thursday, March 17. Whoever finds the block will get a 1BTC bonus in addition to the currently running promotion.
So... do you feel lucky?

I don't think there are currently. Like I wrote, if there's interest from enough people, then I'll pursue it.

Block solved by me with my 180THs! Well that puts you in the block list for the month at least (even if it is in the middle) Edit: list updated https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.msg8895607#msg8895607... and I look at the last 10 blocks and what do I see ... a 50 second block by us with 978.6 kB of transactions. then ... 2 Blocks by AntPool/Bitmain. Both SPV Empty blocks. People, don't support them, don't buy their hardware and (certainly) don't mine on their pool. Where is the +1 or like button when it is truly warranted.
Absolutely! Let's crack that block so I can give some bonus BTC to the finder
Yup... my miners have been delivered and are currently being setup
LOL... right after I posted that, I saw they were delivered . I got a text from my hosting provider with a picture of the boxes and the question "what's the pool info you want me to enter for your new miners?" So, hopefully they'll be up and running shortly! EDIT: and they're up and running
I've got 2 more Avalon 6 on the UPS truck for delivery today .
That I am. I'm looking into getting a dedicated EU server as well... if there's enough interest, I'll pursue it further.
And we're back. Everything went smoothly with the upgrade. All shares and data successfully transferred and accounted. So, let's find some #fullblocks

Hey everyone... just a heads up that I will be performing maintenance on the pool/servers. I anticipate it should last about 30 minutes, give or take. So what am I doing? I got a fantastic deal on dedicated servers that are considerably better than the VPS's I'm currently using to host the pool, so I'm moving to these new servers. Here are the details: * stop the stratum servers * copy the database * change the DNS records to point to the new servers * start the stratum server on the new hardware
I have already migrated everything behind the scenes (all the pool code, stratum server code, etc) and have everything up and running - except for the latest copy of the database to ensure everyone gets all of their shares. To do that I will have to stop the current stratum server so no more shares are added to the database.
This maintenance will impact your miners - you will be disconnected. Please ensure you have backup pools configured!
I will be performing this maintenance starting at 10:30 EDT today. I'm also posting this to twitter and Facebook.
