I also agree that the shares should all be released at the time stated, or I guess just put up a 300K Buy wall at .001,

If not release all the shares at once why not just let everyone put bids at .001 and just take them all? whats the point of releasing the shares again at 9PM for the exact same price?

The shares (all 7 million) will be released for TRADING on the open market (The owners of shares can then trade) at 8 pm CST. The reason for the cut-off is to give Ethan Time to distribute the shares at IPO price according to the plan stated. After the shares are released for trading we will have no control over the pricing and the market will set price.

This is a fairly coming practice in IPO's and is the most used alternative to a closed or open bidding process.

14M / 7M = 2
What is I buy 1 share?

1 / 2 = 0.5 share?

If its going to be 1 share, then I can buy multiple 1 share.

So this should be group by users not by orders.

- 3 PM CST/4 PM EST is the cutoff for bidding.  (EDITED!)

FYI: That's 22:00 CEST or 20:00 GMT.

http://www.thetimenow.com/est/eastern_standard_time
Hi all, I'm posting this somewhat blind.  (haven't caught up with the last 10 or so pages...)

TheSwede75 and I have talked a bit and here's what we've come up with:

- 3 PM CST/4 PM EST is the cutoff for bidding.  (EDITED!)
- Sometime shortly after that time I will lock the asset.
    - All bids below 0.001 will be thrown out.
    - All bids posted after the cutoff will be thrown out.
- We will then add up all the bids and use the total to create a ratio of number of shares ordered to number of shares available.  (eg, 9,000,000 ordered, 7,000,000 available gives us a ratio of 0.777)
- We will multiply everyone's orders times the ratio and extract a whole number of shares on a per order basis.  The orders will then be filled according to the result at 0.001 BTC.  (regardless of what they actually bid.)
- This will leave some number of shares available due to rounding down to a whole number on every calculation.  We'll figure out a way to deal with these fairly.  Most likely recipients will be chosen at random from the pool of bidders but they will be a very small portion of the overall issue.
- 8 PM CST/9 PM EST we remove the admin lock and everyone can start trading.

Wednesdays are already full days for me with ASICMINER-PT related duties and my day job.  So please be patient today.  Responses to customer service and related requests will unfortunately be delayed significantly so that I can write and test all the code necessary to execute the plan above.

Cheers.

Given an example:

7 Million shares / 9 Million orders = 0.777

I have 50,000 share order @ 0.001, total 50 btc

50,000 x 0.777 = 38,850 shares

My share become 38,850 and it's worth 0.001287 per share

The higher number of orders the higher the price per share will be.

Solution suggestion

The IPO shares are the first 7 Million bids @ 0.001
The rest will become bid orders, they want to buy at higher price anyway, those who bought 0.001 will be happy to sell it at higher price.
745  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: July 31, 2013, 03:34:17 PM
Just do the normal IPO, highest bids first.
Then the IPO fund will exceed to 7000 btc, return the extra as dividend.

130nm .... lol, that's soooo 11 years ago....

Why would people invest in this crap? Power consumption being absolutely key to sustainable mining.

Me, I don't care, It's IPO and very profitable for short term trading or even long term.

The IPO will be worth more than 7000 BTC
What happen to the excess, is it going to distribute as dividend or added fund to your company?
749  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: July 31, 2013, 08:36:38 AM
Phew, thank goodness I rolled out of bed and checked these forums. I think I have got my bid in place at the regular IPO price.. lets hope it is first come first serve, not just from the top down.

Higher price first, then on same price first come first serve.

Just made 2 years of my total dividend in 1 day short term trading. Panic more!
751  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 30, 2013, 11:52:51 PM
Oh wow. Panic down

It means, it's the best time to buy. Smiley

Is it ? There are 2 new competitors about to go to IPO. Both of them seems to be same or better as ActM and in earlier dates too.

Yeah, sure profit, another cheap shares bought, how sweet is that.

753  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GB] KNCminer Jupiter #21 Sold [Added to 8.4 TH/s Jupiter Pool] Selling #22 on: July 30, 2013, 03:06:12 AM
How come nobody is buying this offer?
754  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 30, 2013, 02:49:26 AM
Yes, but today is the 30th
No, it is the 29th in the US where ActiveMining is based. Regardless, be patient for an update. Clearly Ken is very busy getting the 6TH/s prepared for deployment and doesn't have time to update, or there isn't that much worthy of an update.

Every Time there is a new announcement share price get bullish, and I always regretting not buying more shares.
Now I'm buying more lower price shares, preparing for the announcement, the bullish day. Yeahhhaa!

756  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] - ADDICTION - KNCMiner buyin! on: July 29, 2013, 04:37:56 AM
Anyone notice the large spread between the bid and ask today.

Bid is .฿0.0120and Ask is .฿0.01744999. We might be in for a nice rise.

if only i haven't got any shares in here yet, i would definitely bought some of the shares at any prices, before the price reach what was it supposed to be for a 32mhash per share Roll Eyes

And that was ?
my best bet is ฿0.032 per share i guess?

that means 1btc = 1ghash at best

So you mean a KNCminer Jupiter worth 80btc with 400Gh/s will cost 400btc in the future?  Shocked

757  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 29, 2013, 03:51:16 AM

its just a mailing address.

The same address used by dozen of other companies (many involved in fraud). I'm sure you can understand my concern. Why is he using a UK remailer if the office is in the US?

That question was already asked.

I'm confused, why is AMC registered in London?! In what looks like a South Ken postcode, although prob a boiler room/virtual office addy. Even so, why London?

AMC is not registered in London, it is registered in Belize.  It just has a London address for mail.
