I don't get it. Why would anybody in their right mind want to heat a building using the waste heat from electrical devices when it's far more energy efficient to just use a heat pump?  Well the heat is going to be generated from high capacity computer processing so might as well capture it and use it because you can't mine cryptos with a heat pump  Would it be profitable for people to invest in a mining op if I started one because my electricity bill is the same every month no matter how much electricity I use. What part of the world are you in? I pay the same every month but December. That is when I have to settle my account. Either they owe me a credit or I owe them extra. I live in the US, my job gives me housing and I pay a certain amount each month no matter how much electricity, heat, water, or anything I use. Start a big PHS Mining Operation then. Get a couple of thousand Antminer S3s  Yeah I was wondering what the profit would be, would you have an estimate? |

When are you going to start cleaning up the rampant cheating and collusion that happens in >50% of your NL tables?
Any time you have 2 or more players playing at more than 1 table together, they should be auto-kicked. If they continue patterns of collusion they should be banned. This is common sense.
I encourage everyone to boycott Seals With Clubs until Micon at least attempts to do something about the cheaters. The odds can never be fair when cheating is allowed. You will have more fun playing PokerStars.

And I imagine as the recipient of the rake Micon et al don't want to virtually disallow multitabling. For a small compony(miss you mosrite) like seals the challenge to eliminate collusion and cheating is pretty mammoth. Stars has an entire department and proprietary reporting to help with this... tl;dr Your description of the problem is good. Your suggestion of a solution is not so good. it isn;t simple either. The only way this could be done w/o punishing honest players is to permanently ban any account w/ the chips still in them if they're playing from the same IP on the same table. |

It was probably the dude who hacked into the BTC system and stole Bitcoins from all the successful businesses. I could see it being someone that was into BTC a long time ago and gained tons of BTC then forgot about it, and by the time BTC started rising they lost their wallet.

Maybe people who run mass BTC mining operations or botting set ups could use this as an alternative to heat their house in the winter and it might even out the cost of their power bill.

I think it's a good and bad thing. Sure Amazon will have the funds to make Twitch into a much better site, but I hate that these huge companies are buying literally every growing company. Soon the whole world will be owned by a few companies. I'm not to worried about Amazon though because the owner is pretty smart and I think he cares about consumers a lot more than most of the other huge companies.

I've had the worst luck with sports betting, I don't think it's my thing lol. $550 on the Angels vs. Athletics. In the 9th inning the catcher misses a ball that should of been a standard catch to score the go ahead run. Next day I bet $750 on the Dodgers @ Dodgers Stadium and the Mets score 7 runs within 15 minutes by the 3rd inning. Then the next day the Angels beat the Angels beat Oakland by 5 runs. I was so use to my Mariners having the best defense in the league I was falsely confident in the fielding area.

KK losing to QQ all in pre-flop, someone having 34 suited and then getting a flush two spades on the turn and river after I was betting high with 3 of a kind, 10-10 losing to 2-2 pre flop. Never had such bad luck so I'm taking a break for awhile. Sometimes it's just the cards you get. |

I have seen similar questions about alternative coins before and Micon literally said "never".
So far whenever someone has come up to me and said "Why doesn't SwC accept X alt coin?" the answer has always been "Because we already have bitcoin" No crypto is more popular than bitcoin. All others are essentially copies of the bitcoin idea. We go with the original, the largest supported from a network and a human perspective. There is simply no reason to accept anything but btc at this stage. The other part of this equation is that there exists many alt-exchanges, so anyone holding an alt that wants to play the largest crypto-currency poker site can convert with relative ease. You could just create new tables that you can only play with Litecoin. That's the only other ALT coin I know of that has value. |
