1201  Economy / Gambling / Re: Anyone got the same idea? on: April 17, 2013, 06:55:01 PM
Don't do it. Just take the loss and wait for it to rise again. This is how I think of it,

If Bitcoins were at $100 a piece, and drop to $60 in a few days. I just think that when you deposit "1 BTC" you have to win $40 to even break even before you start, so you're odds are pretty much fucked.
1202  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - Coinabul owe me 81btc on: April 16, 2013, 02:33:08 PM
Why no scammers tag?

Because the moderators here are a joke.
Moderators aren't your private nanny.

Then why do they bother with scammer tags in the first place?

I bothered because I wanted to help, warn people, and see people get what they deserve. It just causes drama, grief, whining, etc. so I just don't bother anymore, at least not publicly.

So scammer tags are like push-to-cross buttons in NYC? They don't really do anything but just cause confusion and you don't actually hand them out anymore? As long as people see people with scammer tags, expect people to ask that scammers receive scammer tags.

I'm just a single mod, not the forum, and I don't speak for the other mods. There are tags still being handed out, and there are others working on scammer tags.

I don't think a scammer tag is the right answer for situations like this. It's why I favor a reputation based system over scammer tags. When a company has so many positive transactions, to ruin their reputation over a couple bad incidents when they may be understaffed/overworked/whatever, seems a bit like shoving them over the cliff because they tripped on a stone. I said something similar about BFL a couple weeks ago.

Asking for a scammer tag is a little premature, it isn't obviously a scam, just looks like some incompetent boobs who have very little experience, and at least they have delivered in the past. Handing out scammer tags every time someone doesn't meet a deadline is just going to drive businesses away and may even dissuade people from trying new ideas or funding that new start-up that looks promising.

We should be encouraging businesses and new innovations, not shrieking for scammer tags over customer service issues or terrible PR, or missed deadlines (although I'll admit it is getting a bit ridiculous)....

Can't you just give him the scammer tag until he pays the silver? Making someone wait over a month after he's already waited months for something he should of had in less than a week is really rude. I think a scammer tag would be perfect because that way Coinabul would be taking this situation a lot more seriously than they are right now.
1203  Economy / Services / Re: Graphic Designer + Web Designer (for hire) on: April 16, 2013, 02:18:01 PM
I certainly hope they're charging decently, then.  Even if it took just an hour, .185 (about 12 and fifty right now) per logo isn't exactly much.  When businesses are demanding logos left and right to fill up an entire day's worth of work, every day, non-stop, then it's a nice rate.  But once every now and then for a little extra on the side isn't a "rip-off."  It's not even part-time.

Further: those logos aren't very marketable.  They're all flash.  They look great artistically, but businesses (aside from a tattoo parlor maybe) aren't generally looking for logos like that.  I'm assuming they're using a 3D text tool and adding cool effects, which, as you say, doesn't take much time, which also implies it doesn't take much thought or effort into what the business actually needs for a logo.  Pick a font, add the effects, done.

Exactly why I gave those as an example. They're great artistically, and they only took 45 minutes. He could do one of those logo's listed in the OP in about 5 minutes if you gave him the things you wanted on it.  Saying it takes 2-3 hours is bullshit and it is a rip off, because it doesn't take that long at all if you're actually working on it. Say you're charging $60 for a layout, $25 for a logo, or whatever, but don't lie saying it takes 2-3 hours for something like that. If it does take you 2-3 hours, you're either OCD or just really slow.

0.185 /HR? 2-3HRS for a logo? Pfft. You are ripping people off and lying. I know someone who does this in less than 45 minutes.

Escrow won't be an issue. I pm'ed you remember?

Sorry I might of gotten you mixed up with a guy named Bitzing.

Thanks for exposing your alternate account Smiley Warry = Wardrick  Wink

Just to clarify I am not Warry as there's two open scam reports on him. I was talking to Limerijf123 but I got him mixed up with Bitzing.

You aren't Warry because there are scam reports open on him? That in no way establishes that you are not controlling both accounts.

The signature for both is the exact same. Both posted in this topic, seeming to be the same person. Hmm?

You're an idiot or just can't see the facts. Why would I name one account Warry and another one Wardrick, and then scam on one. Then, post on the same topic as the one I scammed on? I didn't even know the posters name was Warry until you said something. Me and lime were doing a trade for WU and Bitzing was too, I got lime and Bitzing mixed up. It's not uncommon for two people on the same forum to post on the same topic either. Your logic is failed.

I read where at least one person was talking about suicide.

Why suicide when it is going to be back to 260USD/BTC in maximum 6 months ?
Idiots. Well, natural selection i guess.

IDIOTS: STOP SHORTING BITCOIN, IT IS AN UNPREDICTABLE CURRENCY.

Change unpredictable to predicable by very few, because it's obviously manipulated.

Go back up and watch the video...again...it is what it is.

You can say whatever you want, anything that can go up and down by 300%+ in a matter of a few days is obviously manipulated. I'm not trying to debate just pissed off.
