Very good that you are connected, but I don't see any new nodes. Without new nodes 42 will be delisted from Cryptopia. Connections: 18 (inbound:15, outbound:3).
|
|
|
So, we have 3 nodes, need 3 more and I will submit a ticket to the cryptopia "boss". Who is ready to be a node?
|
|
|
I can't get an active connection with my (first) wallet and I need to withdraw my coins from Cryptopia. Any idea? (I am not mining)
I'm not getting any connections. I was just days ago.
Add those nodes to your 42.conf file: addnode=93.76.1.154:24242 addnode=77.52.12.120:24242 addnode=184.185.216.85:24242 For more connections you should keep port #24242 opened.
|
|
|
Guys, if you do not know how to open the port, but would like to do this, please send me a PM in the format: 1. Your router model. 2. Your OS. 3. Your firewall/antivirus.
I will try to help you.
PS. steve321 has 10 connections with 42 network because of opened port #24242.

Wallet has 10 nodes now...
These connections are useless, only 1 from them is a node (wallet with opened port #24242): { "addr" : "77.52.12.120:24242", "services" : "00000001", "lastsend" : 1476117136, "lastrecv" : 1476117145, "conntime" : 1476117135, "version" : 60002, "subver" : "/42:0.7.5/", "inbound" : false, "releasetime" : 0, "startingheight" : 1824798, "banscore" : 0 }
|
|
|
You can also donate for 42 nodes hosting: 4M2o1ZvLnW8kTmMMTefM9VfkCtD9c1fy7Q (42), 16zcSUmebZtzUVpopBsiGYqoKQYM4Xp3N6 (BTC). 42 depended on You!

If you guys do not open port #24242 today, 42 will be delisted from cryptopia tomorrow : Hi, lack of nodes is the reason, and from the boss: "if 42 coin can maintain some nodes, then it doesn't have to be delisted" MrFloppy: 10/10/2016 10:40:08 AMPlease, open port #24242 in your router/firewall, otherwise 42 will be delisted from Cryptopia!

There is no need to create a wallet. Everything runs in the Ardor Client then. It's the same as Nautiluscoin which is a Monetary System Coin in Nxt. Ardor (=new Nxt) just helps to secure transactions and reach consensus. But you guys are mostly oldfashion miners? In the Monetary System of Nxt it's also possible to create a coin which is Mintable. https://nxtwiki.org/wiki/Monetary_SystemOк, another questions: 1. Will you be able to run the chain for 42-coin on Ardor? 2. How much this will cost ? 3. When the client will be available? (~approximately) What if whoever stole them swaps them for the new coins?
After the old dev launched this coin someone discovered he premined or instamined half a coin for himself. If ye didn't dump them all what's going to stop him swapping them for the new coins?
The cryptsy coins and the old dev's coins being swapped could make some huge 42 coin whales.
Most of them already dumped. Hendo420 coins were dumped in January 2014. These coins cost less than $50 now...

I have an idea to secure the coin better and more decentralized with PoS. I am very active in Nxt the past few years (not a stakeholder) and the development of Nxt 2.0 (Ardor) is ongoing. Ardor will be a motherchain that secures childchains. 42 Coin can be one of the first childchains on Ardor. The tech and network is then secured and by Ardor, so it will be safe and usable.
Also from PR point of view it will be good promotion for 42Coin. Ardor is full in the news the past months and when 42Coin is one of the first use cases it will get attention too!
I work together with the foundation and marketing team of Nxt and Ardor and I might can get things done with them.
Maybe your idea is not bad, but who will create and support the wallet for it? Currently we already have developed a new client with features not worse than the Ardor platform can propose. And according to the voting results it will be available for the tests soon.

i havent download it yet... is it the same or different wallet? who is brave enough to find out??
This still the same wallet on old codebase/blockchain. The community still vote for a new wallet on a new blockchain with the new features and limited supply in 42 coins.

There isn't a Mac version of the wallet?
Mac version of the wallet currently not available (will be available later).

Cryptopia.nz and prohashing.com support us, they already updated their wallets to the last version (0.7.5): https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/?coin=42{ "addr" : "98.115.147.74:41940", "services" : "00000001", "lastsend" : 1473749268, "lastrecv" : 1473749532, "conntime" : 1473712593, "version" : 60002, "subver" : "/42:0.7.5/", "inbound" : true, "releasetime" : 0, "startingheight" : 1784330, "banscore" : 0 },

It's quite uhhm, off to add a coin to an exchange that has lost developments and updates and possibly, a backing from its community. How would you think the coin perform in terms of volume when there is no enough reason for people to support it via trading? :/ There is no any critical bug or issue with Fastcoin. Don't worry, update will be some later.

A new wallet, v0.7.5.0-gbff08fa-beta (on old code base) is available for download.
Please, note. This is not "swap client"! It is fully compatible with old wallets and it is working on the current 42 blockchain.

This is a well known problem with all 42 clients (included the latest v. 8.0.0, compiled by soopy452000). It is appear when your client established connections with clients from alien chains ("subver" : Satoshi:0.6.3, Satoshi:0.8.5, DigitalcoinV3.0:3.0.1, WorldcoinFoundation:0.8.6.2...), you can avoid such problem by blocking their ports (9538, 9556, 9065, 9336, 9333, 7999, 11081, 28753, 9526, 19904, 9771). Will be fixed in client on a new codebase.
I had the same problem with LiteBar. I changed the subver to LiteBar(plus versoin info) and added to code to check incoming clients, and drop them if they didn't have 'LiteBar' in their subver. The only drawback is that older LiteBar clients get dropped also - but it was a mandatory update Thank you, Spidersbox, added to 42: https://github.com/42-coin/42oldchain/commit/47b6288e3c40abc712815596dfe40a7d8bcad3fa.
