Very grateful for participating in a campaign I genuinely felt good supporting.  If you ever need help in the future don't hesitate to ask.

pivx seems like the slow and steady crusher that will kinda silently work its way to the top 10-20 sooner or later, just my guess

Ever since the Q1 price spike and looking at the roadmap I've had the same thought.  Kept buying on the dips and already am seeing great reason for 1-2 year considerable upside.  I think the $15ish spike will eventually grow to the new price floor as more adoption/marketing grows.

Just PM me your addresses, I'll record them for the airdrop coming up.
Then after you send me a PM, just comment here something random.

You have to comment on the post AND PM me to get an Airdrop lol, new rule.

Consider this my airdrop comment, but be careful with that rule similar have caused thread closures.

I see the payment wallet has reached zero, is the campaign done/winding down?
745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Blockfolio vs Coinmarketcap app on: September 11, 2017, 12:31:25 AM
I recently saw Coinmarketcap rolled out their own portfolio tracking app (not sure how new it is) but it appears to have the same functionality as blockfolio, and I'd wager the same information hoovering (tracking your portfolio and using/selling that data to others).

Just curious if anyone out there has used both and has seen any clear reason for one over the other.

ALSO, does anyone have a FOSS/private application or system (besides excel) for tracking their portfolios outside these two apps or the few major websites that do the same thing?
746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How long to keep a PC continuously mining? on: September 11, 2017, 12:21:54 AM
Think in relation to servers.  Silicon actually has a VERY low failure rate over time, and actually if it runs fine for the first week you're in good shape.  As has already been said dust accumulation and adequate airflow are really the only major concerns from a maintenance viewpoint.
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the main disadvantages of Bitcoin Cash? on: September 09, 2017, 10:45:53 PM
That it was a manipulated and ultimately unnecessary cash grab orchestrated by big players in bitcoin to make extra cash.  From a technical functionality/utility standpoint it works just fine, but is also open to future manipulation by the big BTC bag holders who pushed for its creation.
748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 09, 2017, 10:40:56 PM
Many pools are now attacked by some fucking new hacking method...what the fuck is wrong with this world  Sad

Hacking has been a reality in crypto since it's inception.  If there's a way to profit from hacking people will do so, and being able to predictably manipulate a coin's market you can definitely make money.  It sucks for those trying to play fair but is a fact of this world.
749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can I make profit by CPU mining ? on: September 09, 2017, 10:34:06 PM
A recent gen i7 or any of the Ryzen CPUs is profitable to CPU mine on (Ryzen being significantly better). If you are already mining with a GPU and have your PC on 24/7 anyways a recent gen i5 or an FX 8 core may be  networth mining for a a little beer money on the side.

Exactly.  Even with nicehash a CURRENT gen mid-high end cpu will generate .50-$1/day.  Not really worthwhile by itself but as others have said if you're running a GPU already it's a nice bonus.  However the net after electricity is probably nil or negative, so if you're worried about daily net profit it's probably pointless.
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: LUNYR mining on: September 07, 2017, 05:45:27 PM
If you'd read the Ann even a little you'd see it's an ERC20 token.  They had an ico, ether tokens are created via smart contract and never mined.

General rules:
If it's a "token" you can't mine it
If it had an ICO you probably can't mine it
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QAU] QUANTUM PROJECT - Connecting markets on: September 07, 2017, 06:13:08 AM
Hey I tried buying some QUA via Myetherwallet... I did everything as stated. I set gas limit to 200000 I sent my coins to the correct address. Nothing could have gone wrong but twice now I got an error that said bad instruction... I don't know what to do with this...

If you're trying to send to the ICO address that's long done and over with.  You need to head to an exchange to buy tokens now.
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: September 07, 2017, 06:08:01 AM
Will Fiat be implemented in the platform? ***

But fian mean KYC I hate that part of ICONOMI . THis is thing that keeps me away from platform.
Sice ICONOMI operates in EU and I am in EU this will cause later problems with taxation probably.
ICONOMI should have some KYC free division in Shanghai or Honkong for only krypto investments.

Unless you're laundering dirty money or planning to not pay taxes you legally owe there's really no reason KYC should be a concern.  While I understand and respect the anonymous foundation of crypto, for active traders KYC/AML is just a fact of life.
753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine - Cryptopia on: September 07, 2017, 12:19:45 AM
Gratefully i've been holding my post-first-days profits wallet off topia.  Made some decent coin back then and holding some in anticipation of staking but it looks like a long slow road from here.  Surprised there's still as much mining interest as there is.

Fingers crossed this develops well and doesn't die on the vine.
754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: September 06, 2017, 11:16:03 PM

Sorry mate but I think that IOTA will be huge in the future. We just need to wait 2 years and you will see that IOTA will be great. IOTA and LISK are two different systems. LISK is for Javascript(node.js) and IOTA for IOT devices. In the near future more and more IOT devices will be available on the market and in our houses. So IOTA will be huge in the future. Now its the perfect time to buy in into IOTA
But IOTA is already big enough. Look at its market cap.
Figures look crazy, like with other crypto projects. Billion of capitalization, it's just insanity...
Linkedin was sold for 26 billion and it is just a simple website.
IOTA could be the future network for IOT apps and micro payments and is valued less than 10% of Linkedin.

HAH, I like that thinking, and is a better apples:oranges comparison than Lisk to IOTA too.  Those lisk comments are really from left field related to this project, might as well compare IOTA and Ark or IOTA and Amazon.

You have to look at each crypto project in context.  Just because you prefer betting on a different horse doesn't mean you go to the dog track to complain about everyone's bets on a greyhound.
755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: September 06, 2017, 10:48:56 PM
On slack channel there are limited information of when really is the snapshot, coins101 drew some flak because the devs are not consistent about the launch. It was really scheduled last August then it was postponed to this month without specific date.

To avoid gross price manipulation I can respect giving little forewarning of the snapshot, especially with how long the announcement of it occurring "sometime" has been out.  With that said I'm a little concerned with the apparent lack of updates regarding it, considering they already set and delayed one date I'm certain they don't want to do it again, but really even giving a window of a week or 2 as a committed timeframe would be nice.

I've seen past splits and swaps go silky smooth or be completely unhinged, hopefully the helium team is REALLY getting their ducks in a row.
756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: September 05, 2017, 05:59:27 PM
Frankly I think the 42 zen/node is not bad at all.  I'm partial to the number, given that it's the answer to the ultimate question anyways, but as has been said upthread there's an impetus to get as many secure nodes running as possible.  If the barrier to entry is too high, and/or the node reward too low compared to that entry barrier it will greatly discourage people running them.

One of the unique features of ZEN is the secure node structure compared to many other multi-level PoW/PoS structures.  Master node coins rely on either VERY early investors who have hands of steel or whales to purchase and operate the nodes.  A DASH MN right now is out of reach for most normal human beings, even far less expensive coins like PIVX have an insanely high entry point to run a node, with very limited dividend payments (relative to other uses of that capital).

ZEN should work to build out the secure nodes and then encourage AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE to deploy them.  Keeping the coin requirement within reason is critical to that.

Also, as has been said already at $10 a ZEN, an SN is already a $420 buy-in,  assuming ZEN will continue to appreciate in value, especially as coins are locked in nodes that only goes up.  Reasonably $20-25 ZEN is not unbelievable, and then you're talking about <$1000 for one SN, that is NOT the same as a master node in concept or execution either, rewards will be lower.

It's about securing the chain, not making money as much.
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Harbor Freight Solar Panels on: September 05, 2017, 02:53:30 AM
Renogy brand 100w panels have had a few firesales recently.  The real problem is doing the cost per watt math + reliability of power supply generated + battery bank cost if you want to stabilize output + control hardware + time or cost to install it all.

At face value solar mining sounds like a great idea, and I give credit to anyone that does it, but the cost is not fiscally or technically sound.

From a hobbying perspective it's a cool idea.
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: FOR THE RECORD: Does Motherboard really matter in mining? on: September 05, 2017, 02:48:08 AM
Much like GPUs, if you're concerned about resale at all then yes.  Otherwise I'd say mobo matters no more than beyond it's ability to run the cards you want and has features you may want.  I'm thinking specifically probably wanting an m2 slot, either for an extra card or not needing a sata power channel for your hdd, and an on-board power/reset button so you don't need an aftermarket switch jumper.
759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine - Cryptopia on: September 04, 2017, 09:06:58 PM
I can not for the life of me get a wallet to connect out on my staking rig.  I've tried deleting peers.dat, I've tried adding the nodes to signatum.conf and placing that both in the appdata folder AND the wallet folder, i've tried adding the nodes manually via console.  Still I get ZERO connections.  It's not blocked by the firewall and is whitelisted at my router too.

Any clue wtf is wrong?  I can get it to connect and update from my laptop but when I run it on my stakebox I get nada.
760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] truly decentralized exchange | token ecosystem infrastructure on: September 04, 2017, 08:15:45 PM
Any word when Bittrex wallets will be back up?

In my experience Trex is usually pretty conservative on these things, so I wouldn't hold my breath.  I'm sure soon, but honestly given the current market volatility paired with the functionality of the new Block DEX and what the impact that may have I'm guessing we may be looking at days rather than hours.  (Thinking back to my experience with the ZCL/ZEN split).
