Thank you for sharing this. Not many people keep track of all these things. I started a few bounties last year, for fun more than for anything else,,, and realized later on that it was not really something I enjoyed. Plus I got spammed so heavily on all of my channels I quit most of them.
I still read a lot and participate in some smaller community channels. And I still stick to signature campaigns, mainly because this is what I do anyway.
Like you said, people thought it was an amazing thing, but this was only because of the bull run.

I will not knock these things. People like to play games, and if they can earn something from it, why not? I just always feel that instead of giving players something back for their time and of course,,, for bringing in advertising revenue, players feel somehow that they must earn, and then there starts all the abuse.
Same as faucets. It was meant as a small thank you for visiting and trying. But people turn it into an income. So in the end,,, not sustainable.
Yes those aren't sustainable and its only good if you have a lot of spare time. Its okay to try those but if you're very time-savvy you'll look for something better and giving a better reward. As for one that's listed which is mbitcasino, it is a casino and its not really a way to earn crypto's but its more of a gamble. You gamble your money, you win or you lose. Yes,,, games, faucets, all of these things. They are okay and fun to do, and if you already play a game a lot and they decide to reward you with tokens, that is great. But if you are really serious about earnings. Then you have to work properly, just like everyone else. I see some friends from young tell me about things like small clicks to earn money,,, or surfing sites the whole day. And playing games for small rewards. But I do not do this. I work a small job worth minimum pay but end up with more money plus I learn something in my job. And I can buy Bitcoin with my small earnings. And it is all mine. Not stuck in some game. |

I gave a lot of thought to POS coins in 2017 especially, but the problem is that you earn more coins, but they fall more in value as time passes,,, in the end it is a game of trying to stake 24 hours just to keep up with everybody. And if you cannot stake for 1 week, then you lose your value more.
Neo is okay, especially at Binance because you gain the gas automatically, but this is at the cost of forcing trust on Binance. I only keep now Neo for that at Binance, and lease my Waves (still it is under my control).

Well,,, whether or not it was a mistake buying at $450 depends on what your intentions were. Did you want to turn it into profits, thinking it could recover to $900 for an instant doubling of money? If so, then okay, maybe it was a mistake because now you are less than 50% in original value. Selling at $150 to me means you already lose $300 to 1 ETH = $12,000k losses. If I were you, I would just hold on to it at this point, because it could even go down to $100 true, but there is much more possibility for it to recover and then grow further once the 2.0 is in place.
It is sort of pointless to cut losses now, you should have set your stop at $400 or around if you wanted to speculate short term.

We already know that in the world of cryptocurrency we have valuable projects and platforms and at the same time as if existing in the parallel but intertwined universe are the shitcoins and there are many of them in the market today and more can be coming up soon. A shitcoin refers to a worthless project using cryptocurrency platform that is put up just for the sake of making money and nothing more. Of course, there are many types and forms of a shitcoin...and sometime determining one can be difficult that's why many innocent investors get victimized and can be victimized with their hard-earned money.
Aside from the usual reading of the WhitePaper and the scrutiny of the team behind if they are real or not...what other things do you use to see if one project has the potential to just be another shitcoin?
Actually, many of them is a small understatement. The big majority of coins are shitcoins. If we believe the research that says 80% of ICOs are scams, then only 1 in 5 are not scams, and I bet you,,, half of those are shitcoins, so that leaves us with 90% scams and shitcoins. The problem is that Shitcoins do not always have easily identifiable criteria. I mean,,, if they did, I would not have been cheated so many times last year  |

I do not see what you see, strangely. Everyone almost in this forum still talks about dollars so clearly they want their profits in dollars, rather than Bitcoin or other crypto. Alt holders especially cannot wait to turn their bags of tokens into dollars.
But watch where you tread. Fiat will be eliminated on its own without our meddling. US dollar is strong today but it is weakening every day and every year. Look up US debt and you can understand.

Why would you need an extension to do that for you? Should never ever save public keys except your own main one,,, and then again, people say never use it more than 1 time. So many people complain or ask for help when they paste the wrong address. Just make sure when you do transactions, you double and triple check addresses are correct. Do not rely on saved addresses,,, you can never know when you make a mistake if so.

By investing in alts, you have to take a risk because here in crypto you have to ready for what will happen in future whether if its down or up. But remember, bitcoin is trading at its low when it they launch and see now the price. So you better hold your coins if it is down or low no matter what and you will see the real value of your investment and makes you a good profit.
Every single crypto is a risk - even Bitcoin! The thing is,,, some are riskier than others. Imagine if you invested in a lousy idea, like in 2014, but it still grew a lot in price because they were so few coins to compete. But today,,, you can have a great idea and it will still fail if some other bad idea gets good marketing. Every sector has 20 or 30 competing tokens. All are claiming to be good. Look at EOS. Poor idea, poor execution, still made money. Risk is risk but luck is luck. Invest at your own risk, and expect the worst from every investment then you will not be disappointed. |

Three weeks later and Vitalik Buterin still has not left his beloved Ethereum. One would think that he should not have announced it until he leaves properly, but he was probably worried about the price drastically dropping if he leaves. I find it strange, to be sure,,, if everyone properly thought about these types of decisions, price should go even higher, if not recover to high points, since it means less centralization. Litecoin never really recovered, but then again this is the bear market.

Any security system that is based on cryptography or based on computing power, will of course eventually come under threat of supercomputers. But people forget, Bitcoin's security is improving every year. Exponentially too,,, despite the increasing difficulty, increasing cost, and declining price, people are not shying away from joining the network.
Crypto other than Bitcoin? They have much more to worry about when 51% attacks are even possible, much less to say cryptographic cracking of the blockchain itself.

Good question,,, very good question. Last year, I remember almost every ICO talking about debit cards and what not, but I knew that if they were depending on Visa or Mastercard, it would be a huge problem. And fast forward more than 1 year later, we see exactly the problems with all these guys. Remember Monaco? Or others? Promising the sky, but could not deliver.
And people are defending them saying it is regulations and all that. But DUH. They knew that would be a problem!
As long as crypto still wants to depend on traditional systems like the banks and fiat systems, they will never be independent and free. So frustrating to see ICO projects not understand this.

Oh, I know Didi Taihuttu from many news articles about the guy. Now if there is anyone who can speak to the average person about crypto and loyalty, Didi is certainly one of them. He and his family are really going the rounds everywhere and his story itself is inspirational, the guy who sold everything for Bitcoin and still enjoying the adventure. Glad to have someone like him and his family on our side!
And explaining in regular language makes it easy for newbies to understand too! Great person to have on the team Indeed! Didi if you watch his videos is a very natural guy,,, and if you follow his channel, also friendly and down to earth. A lot of people are considered influencers but they are quite heavy on the hype. This guy is always natural and calm. He says what he believes but never to the sort of hype you find elsewhere,,, and his videos travelling are fun to watch. Regular person to chime with regular people like us:) Anyway, it is coming to the end of the month. We are expecting the announcement for sale in early Q4, so in 2 weeks it will be the middle of Q4, let us hope for some good news soon! |

The so-called bull run will NOT happen this year. I think it is time for you and all of us to accept that. We should have accepted it months ago,,, but of course people are used to things happening so quickly in just a few months so they thought, maybe bull run is delayed. But mind you, in 2 months left of this year, the crypto market can also dive just as easily as it can climb.
Also,,, even if bull run happens now, the best it can do is recover to levels of 50% of the peak. This means BTC 10k and ETH $650. That for me is best case scenario, which will not happen this year.

So one month and 3 days have passed since the OP posted about the great month. And ETH is down 20% from the price of that time,,, while Bitcoin is moving in the same range for 3 to 4 weeks now.
This shows,,, every time you think you know what is going on, something different can and will happen. We simply cannot predict what will happen. Good time of consolidation now? Or is this waiting for a further crash? Only time can tell.

As someone already mentions, there is already freebitco.in that gives you free lottery tickets. If you play every day say 10 times, you can get 140 tickets per week, and that can give you a tiny, tiny chance to win 1 of 10 prizes in the lottery. Not worth it in my opinion to waste your time every day just to get free things. Why not work get a job and earn. Buy Bitcoin and gamble?

snipie,,, you are asking the wrong question. Who cares which crypto they are asking for? If you have Bitcoin, any other alt is already just a bonus. And also, you are asking, why not ETH? So why not Litecoin? And BTC and ETH have no difference to the user, but Dash is a privacy or anonymous coin. So that is the difference. Why offer two products that have no difference to customers?
