8081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Future Of Cryptocurrency on: March 04, 2018, 10:54:49 AM
I think the most viable coin is staking coin it is really good for futures and friendly to resources. I like how dash work with it masternodes or waves with its leasing feature or we can support DPOS. DPOS consensus also good for the blockchain and world. We will see ethereum enter staking phase soon and it could be interesting.

That is only talking purely in terms of electricity and hardware sustainability. True, staking is cheap and friendly to the environment, but when you compare costs to secure against POW coin like Bitcoin, which has actual utility in the world and mainstream users using it exactly what it was meant to be, then you have to say that staking still has a lot to prove. It also encourages holding and that for me artificially boosts the price (due to scarcity with holders only willing to make more with staking).
8082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchange for beginner? on: March 03, 2018, 05:30:59 PM
Tell you what, why not just open several exhange accounts and try all of them? You do not even need to trade, just test out all the platforms and see for yourself. I started as a complete newbie myself with zero trading experience inside or outside crypto. But I found that most of the stuff was easy to learn. Of course, read all the help guides for all the exchanges and read EVERYTHING.

Oh and, verify yourself before you do anything.
8083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When I am able to see profit this year? on: March 03, 2018, 02:19:51 PM
You will party hard by the end of the year! Don't worry. In the next months we will reach again the $15K/BTC, and by EOY we could even surpass all time highs, stay calm and don't sell, you are much likely to regret it. The cryptocurrency world is just at its dawn.

Wow, just as I thought all the past months of crashes, dips, reds and losses, not to mention all the ICOs that have failed, as well as the projects that are really getting intro problems this week, I would have thought that for once, people would have their expectations lowered. But I guess crypto and especially alts are still a game and a party for everyone yeah? When will this ever get serious?
8084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: decentralized exchanges on: March 03, 2018, 01:08:50 PM
You can search and find such list through google, I used etherdelta, waves dex and one desktop dex I forgot its name. I think if you are interested in them you should really look at oax project.

Are you referring to Bisq? It's accessed on desktop using their Java-based client

Bisq is more like a peer to peer platform just like localbitcoins, no? I wanted to use it but their escrow seems a bit more complicated for me, and I seem to have had to wait very long times to get people to accept my trades, and I did not have the time to keep the client open for too long. It does have a very good interface though. And also better rates than localbitcoins. Just not that many actual local peer traders.
8085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: waves on: March 03, 2018, 12:52:57 PM
Good day, guys! does anybody give waves lease?  i do it, i can't say this is very profitable , but better than just keep on the DEX.  for my 500 waves i receive now about 1-2 waves per month ( Grin Grin ) and other airdrops coins as bonus. It looks a bit funny , but i think about future when the coin will cost much more. im waiting  80-100$ per one waves next year.

Oh yeah, sure, I have been leasing my Waves ever since I had my hands on them. I agree it is not much at all, but to me, it is a small bonus (plus every week I get back enough Waves to pay for 2 to 3 transaction fees) so I am not complaining at all. Like you said, the other airdrop tokens are also some small bonus. Right now not worth anything but yes, perhaps in 3 years?
8086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: waves on: March 02, 2018, 10:23:25 PM
This is a real undervalued gem right now. It used to be in the top 20, have no idea why it's gone down. Development has been solid, and their smart contract and TX/s capability is much better than ETHs, it's essentially a better version of ETH. I think Waves will take off again soon.
The possibility why waves drop their ratings on the market cap is all because of the newly hyped and pumped coins which overtook some of the positions of the good coins out there if you will observe the top 20 coins right now some of them are newly created coins or some unpopular coins, got hyped or pump by some groups of whales to attract investors, that's their common way of making such coin more famous and costly.

It was truly undervalued a few weeks ago, and even now it is still at an excellent price. Anything below $10 is still a great value buy though even at 12 I would still be adding more and more to it.

It has certainly dropped off the ratings, as you say because of other alts that have been strictly overvalued. Waves may be taking its sweet time to develop as a platform but it has so much in store.
8087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crash Incoming on: March 02, 2018, 05:11:12 PM
I do not really care whether it crashes or not because I do not invest in bitcoins and altcoins but rather I earn them by bounties. So I really do not care what price of the coins might they be as long as I can change them to a decent amount.

I guess it really is true that most bounty hunters are just in it for the money then, dumping as soon as there is a price to be had on the open market. You guys do realize that the crash, if it does happen, will be partly because of people like you? I guess it does not matter. You just want to make your quick buck, all your bounty work means zero to actual support and belief for the project.
8088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Is Delta going to die? on: March 02, 2018, 02:07:23 PM
I am noticing now three projects of supposedly decentralized exchanges that have become embroiled in internal disfunctions and disagreements amongst developers. Is it just me? Or is this one of the pitfalls of dexes? That you never know when they can be abandoned. I now worry if this will ever affect my wallets there. My logic says no, but then maybe there are dangers I did not consider. Such a confusing time for people who want to decentralize and yet are faced by this uncertainty. I can see why people like centralized projects in a way,,,
8089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in Dogecoin future? on: March 02, 2018, 12:04:21 PM
Earlier, the Doges were doing well on the market. Nowadays the competition for such coins is rather strong, but I suppose there is still possibility of its growth.
I do believe that Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum however, will continue to be leaders in the cryptocurrency world, but dogecoin has a good shot at becoming the new digital dollar.

That would be the day a lot of us will celebrate. I know, Dogecoin is a funny coin, people keep making fun of it. Well it is a fun currency after all. If anyone said last year January that Dogecoin would still be worth the value it is today, people would laugh. And they are mostly still laughing now. We saw Dogecoin hit 1 cent per doge last year, so perhaps it can at least be the digital cent, if not digital dollar.
8090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL or REGRET!!! on: March 02, 2018, 10:04:48 AM
it's a situation we all meet. if we sell a coin, selling the whole is causing great regret. if you sell at least half the time you have not regretted a possible price increase.
it's a pity to see that the coin you sold for $ 100 is $ 10000 Smiley

Regret is a terrible thing. It makes people take more risks, and it makes people not appreciate the gain they already held in hand. Never use regret as a decision maker. Always take the profits you decided and targeted, and then do not look back. I could regret the times I did not sell Litecoin at the old ATH but I always had my target of holding for a long time. Same as Waves that is now half the old price. Just be patient, of course, if you can sell enough to return old investments, do that first.
8091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: To all of you who hate the merit system, there is another popular Bitcoin forum on: March 01, 2018, 08:54:28 PM
I do not understand why people are arguing over the way merits are distributed. If you cannot level up, then it is okay. You can still post. I believe, at the rate I have earned merit points, I will never level up quicker than 1 or 2 years, but if I can still post, I should not complain. I am very grateful to have opportunities in signature campaigns, and I might be sad to one day not qualify if only Heros and Legendaries can, but I should not complain then.

Remember, some things in life are a right and some things are a privilege. The quicker you realize these differences, the happier you will become.
8092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is Stake? How is it calculated? [Detailed Explanation] on: March 01, 2018, 06:58:16 PM
Sorry, maybe my language is not improving as I thought it had but your first explanation of stakes does not seem to make logical sense to me. I always thought stakes were only in 1 definition, which is your second.

Total number of coins divided by total number of stakes amount = amount per stake. It is actually as simple as that.

In your first calculation, total stakes divided by number of coins does not make sense. (for example if there are 2 stakes and 100 coins, then each user gains 2/100 = 0.02 coins?
8093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Heading for another crash? on: March 01, 2018, 02:12:24 PM
I do think another crash is coming. Its the only way for Bitcoin to correct itself and to follow a healthy growth and another bull run in the future.

Do not worry. There are many more years left for crypto to find the bulls and the bears, for the booms and the crashes. None of them will remain for long, and each will make way for the other for a long, long time to come. As much as it does not seem logical, crashes are indeed necessary for the long term health of Bitcoin. Just as forest fires are necessary for forests to always grow and survive. Sustainability. What does not kill Bitcoin, makes it stronger, right guys?
8094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ARK staking on: March 01, 2018, 01:50:06 PM
Interesting, I did not know there was a new form of staking that did not require you to open you wallet (and leave your computer on). I had concluded my proof of stake experiments in 2017, with some profits and some losses, and overall a computer that was probably too old to run more than 5 wallets at a time. I felt it was not for me after all. ARK does seem like a good coin, in the sense of the positivity surrounding it. I am now a bit curious about this DPOS though.
8095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 01, 2018, 10:33:54 AM

Polo is not usable any more with bitches like Goldman Sachs owning it  Roll Eyes Shocked

Meh. It's hardly usable anyway right now in it's current state. And you know that only depends on whether you plan on paying taxes. I sold a little crypto to build a house and I was fine using exchanges that report to the feds because you cant get away with paying for something like a house without paying taxes anyway. So it all just depends on the situation. But yea if you plan on spending a million dollars per year of profits on hookers and blow and not paying taxes on those profits you probably shouldn't use VSquidEx.

Exactly. I think it started becoming unusable as soon as Bitcoin started its spring run mid last year. I had only ever used it for the loaning services, happy to have made my share of profits from that, but I am glad I got out of it before all that shitstorm rained down.

I pay my taxes, I do my KYC when required, I do everything I know I will eventually have to do. But I am pretty sure guys like Poloniex would find any excuse to bite me in the ass one day.
8096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happen with IGNIS ? on: February 28, 2018, 02:12:53 PM
Published three weeks ago but same outcome. Falling coin. I have one such alt in the shape of Elastic. Bought it now almost one year ago and it seems it is just money going down the drain. The fiat loss is not too bad, but the bitcoin loss is just horrendous. I have already marked it as a loss to be honest, but happy to just hold it forever, until price recovers or it goes bust. The project itself is still hopeful, so maybe they will eventually be a sleeper coin everyone forgot about.
8097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lending Platform - Is this sustainable rates? on: February 28, 2018, 01:41:43 PM
Do not you feel it is plain irony that a platform talking about sustainable rates is offering an unsustainable 30% bonus to pre-sale investors? I know, I know, everyone tells me 30% is not the highest, but if you are talking about a lending platform, that 30% advantage is too big for early investors, who will of course be the only ones who will want to loan out money on this platform.

Lending is tricky, always has been. Interest bearing models are by definition unsustainable.
8098  Economy / Speculation / Re: What would be the signs a big dip is coming on: February 28, 2018, 12:27:24 PM
I think the best sign of a big dip is an overheated market. Massive volumes that are only increasing week after week, prices just climbing higher without tracing back. And ATH after ATH broken and going for more. If this sounds familiar, then yes, it happened less than three months ago in December. Everybody was so happy, everybody kept saying more and more. Then the huge dip was on its way.
8099  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin after Chinese holiday on: February 28, 2018, 07:25:07 AM
Yes I think so, but it is not a kind of sudden appearance, maybe after a couple of weeks or month but at least it will will decrease again with same value from the past. And surely it can recover the past value when it was at the price of 19k. And I believe that the growth of the community for those interested to buy will become fast for such situation written by the OP is quite not new for many that whenever Chinese day bitcoin is alt the dump stage.

Oh, it will definitely just be a matter of time about reaching 20k again. ATHs are meant to be broken, and Bitcoin is far from being the mature market that we can expect has hit its prime. I mean, even oil and gold, only recently in past years made their all time highs, and those were trading for such a long period of time. Scarcity is the factor people forget about and one day Bitcoin will be scarce. We will not live to see the true Bitcoin ATH.
8100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am a HODLer, but want to try day trading starting with $100. on: February 27, 2018, 05:48:35 PM
That is a really good and safe way, and is just how I did it. I am also a holder by definition, since I only buy coins I want to keep until a certain value is reached, but I also put a small amount of Bitcoin into trading alts but even then, not daring enough to try day trading like you! My suggestion,,, do not let the $100 fool you. 0.01 BTC is not a small amount. Trade coins that are below 50 cents and you have plenty to move.

Always check markets for volume, day trading needs high volumes.
