7461  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin stay relatively stable and become a stablecoin? on: October 29, 2018, 09:29:25 PM
It might be possible in the future if the remaining 4 million bitcoin left are all mined possible the price of bitcoin can be stable but based on CNBC year 2140 is the expected to be completely mined all coins if it happens there is a big possibility that bitcoin can be stable as the same as tether.

If you are comparing to the bitcoin price today I think the price won't drop too much because of big supporters and they don't let bitcoin down below $6k.
7462  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Dependency Problems - Installing Armory to a non connected PC on: October 27, 2018, 08:58:19 PM
Thanks, that's also a good learning lesson to me re Linux.

Really liking what I see with Armory, thanks Goat Smiley
Just in case you need a guide I found 2 guides on the forum that I think will guide how to install armory in offline mode.

You can check these 2 guides below.

7463  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: armory node is offline on: October 26, 2018, 09:19:46 PM
Whatever I do node is always offline and can not send bitcoins.
I check logs and no errors.
And this is really annoying because it happends everytime I send some bitcoins it starts to makes troubles.
Any help will be appreciated.

I don't have any experience using this wallet before but I tried to search on the forum and I found this Armory - Node Offline FIXED

SOLUTION!

Re installed Bitcoin Core v0.15.1.  Opened it and checked the debug.  Left it running and restarted armory after selecting Rebuild and Rescan Databases.  It worked and took a bit longer to load.  Hope this helps a fellow newb someday.

According to him reinstalling Bitcoin Core and select rebuild and rescan databases in the armory solved this issue. So try to do his method it might solve your issue.

The quoted above is old post so I think you need to find the latest Bitcoin Core to reinstall your core you can find it from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5034070.0
7464  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: we have no iOS wallet on: October 26, 2018, 07:04:01 PM
I wanted to set some wallets to non tech people who just need to view their assets sizes and values.

I have tried ArcBit and BitWallet, none of them work with addresses of a segwit multi-sig wallet.

Ocular does not work either.
You can check other wallets for IOS check this list of wallets from here https://bitcoin.org/en/wallets/mobile/ios/
Check the GreenAddress wallet first I use it before when I have a iPhone device and it also has watch-only feature so maybe this is what you're looking for.

Other list of wallets for IOS you find them from here https://bitcoin.org/en/wallets/mobile/ios/

And I think you can make a watch only wallet on blockchain wallet by importing public key.

Edit: Blockchain segwit wallet hasn't implemented yet.
7465  Economy / Exchanges / Re: coinpayments net issue on: October 26, 2018, 02:21:12 PM

anybody has today problem with 2FA on coinpayments.net ?
i dont receive email with log in code

Have you tried to contact their email support? It might be a bug or the site server might be slow that is why you haven't receive any 2fa code.

Try to contact them here https://www.coinpayments.net/contact and tell them about your issue.
7466  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9i with driver-bitmain.c:5474: Error of set PIC FLASH... on: October 26, 2018, 12:14:48 PM
Hello guys i had the (chain[5] PIC need restore ... ) error and fixed it by using the IP Reporter Firmware restore, you can find it in Bitmain's Forum but i leave it here for all of you

Quote
IP Reporter Restore (The miner will automatically revert to factory default firmware)

This method is only applicable to the miner as below. (The SD card slot of the miner should be on the left of Ethernet interface.

Usage: Please power off the miner, then hold down the IP Reporter and don’t release it. At the same time, please power on the miner. Releasing the IP Reporter after 5 seconds, the machine will automatically restore factory settings.

NOTE: This method is not applicable to the miner which has a SD card on the right of the Ethernet interface.

After i did that the pesky PIC error just went away.

This is just a method to do a factory reset this sometimes works but not all and you are just copy pasted the guide from bitmain support without credit.
Anyway, you can find this method from here "How to reset miner to factory settings " credited to bitmain.

This is just a basic solution but if the restore factory reset doesn't work you can try the method below.

The method to fix this issue if you have PIC error is to flashing it with PICKit 3 which is tested by some miners out there.
You can find this method from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5032987.0

7468  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: REVOLUT - SCAM - STAY AWAY - THEY WANT TO STEAL YOUR MONEY AND DOCUMENTS! on: October 24, 2018, 04:57:06 PM
Based on what I experienced on Revolut it's not a scam. There are many Revolut users abuse their service like making multiple Revolut accounts and make a multiple VCC that is why they are strictly restricted on KYC verification.

I'm honestly, one of the users who abuses their service, but I stopped last year for marketing purposes. If you know about Bing ads and Google ads you can use a Revolut VCC for making unique Bing ads with a free coupon and advertise for free.

So this is I think the reasons why they are asking so much document about new Revolut users and they make sure that the new user is unique and I think Revolut support can help you about the issue and I am sure that they can verify your account if they verify that you are a unique user.
7469  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer through a VPN on: October 24, 2018, 04:12:14 PM
I experienced this before but after I change my DNS to OpenDNS it solved my issue. If you can access your ISP just change your DNS to 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
or you can try the google DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

If it doesn't work to you switching pool might solve this issue like the suggested above.
7470  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: T9+ HashBoard Work for 20 min and go down on: October 23, 2018, 07:53:19 PM
are you still watching the thread ? i have new T9+ 4 out of 6 blades down .. very colse to the same log . info on the t9+s is so hard to find  did you get your sorted out with airflow?

Do you mean that your T9+ fan blades are broken? Increasing the fan speed won't help too much to take down the temp.
The best solution for that is to replace it with a new fan.

There is an online shop where you can buy a cheap fan for t9+ you can check it here https://www.parallelminer.com/product/antminer-t9-t9-plus-fan-replacement-38mm-4500-rpm-186-cfm/
7471  Economy / Reputation / Re: Legendary who sells merits? on: October 23, 2018, 07:25:04 PM
I found some thread where you can report them. If you believe that they are cheating and selling merit you must provide a proof.

You can report them from the link below

Done with the topic: [New format] Merit Abuser Gang [Now 18-1 cases]

Suspected users that are abusing merit 3.0
7472  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: repair a T9 + after a bad firmware (lost chain) on: October 23, 2018, 06:35:56 PM
Hello, I do not have pick 3 at hand, and in my country, it is very expensive, is there any other way to program the pic, without the pickit 3 Huh I am willing to give btc if you help me please, or I can do it on-line by terminal or something better. Thank you

I couldn't find any alternative for PICKit 3 but I found a guide where you can make a DIY PICKit 3 clone. Honestly, making a clone of PICKit is not easy to do but if you are willing to make you can follow the guide from here Making A Pickit 3 Clone.
7473  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer Overclock Firmware (Dev Fee or Not) on: October 22, 2018, 08:28:01 PM
netstat isnt telling me much. however i did find another thread on this firmware.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4760043.0

I almost read all posts from this thread and I don't find any legit reviews about this firmware.
taserz is asking for a source code of this firmware, but OP doesn't give any open source and maybe it's a clone firmware with additional dev fee.

So, I think the firmware is not safe, I advise you to flash it back to the original firmware and follow this guide How To Overclock Your S9/T9+,T9,R4 To 18TH/s Free. you can edit your miner manually with your own without doubt of having dev fee when mining.
7474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Both Moonlanders have stopped working on: October 22, 2018, 07:51:22 PM
I don't have any experience about moonlander miner but it looks like it's a normal issue of some pools according to other members here on the forum. The only solution that I found to fix your issue is to test it with other pools and adjust share difficulty.

I found same logs as yours check this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2664101.msg27364798#msg27364798
You can follow some suggestion from the link above it might help.
7475  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer Overclock Firmware (Dev Fee or Not) on: October 22, 2018, 05:34:56 PM
Where did you get this firmware and why would you use it? If you get this from unknown source it could be someone stealing your hashrate. There are some other ways to overclock the miner by changing the frequency with a default firmware from bitmain.

Anyway, if you don't know how to use "netstat" you can get some idea how to do it from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2964238.0

If you have a bad feeling about this firmware, I suggest reflashing the miner to default firmware is a better option than giving your hashrate to thieves.
7476  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [0.01 btc bounty] i need help unlocking btc from a timelocked address on: October 20, 2018, 06:21:12 AM
upon doing more research, it is possible that there is a bug in coinbin's transaction building. if someone can create a transaction by hand or in bitcoin core that spends all the inputs of https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/32V88RuEhZJqegJP7JFAzXn2FDHFPqdERv to 3G8U8iQ5vrSEKHeFCtZ4SAB9iG9y2b6ak9 with a 0.0005 btc fee it would be much appreciated. the current locked amount is 2.87 btc, so to those who help out i will definitely be giving generously, since i am a bit panicked at the moment.
Your issue looks the same as Pente issue you can read the message from the developer from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=390046.msg22386244#msg22386244

Are you trying to broadcast your bitcoin into bitcoin cash network?

Edit: Upon checking your wallet "32V88RuEhZJqegJP7JFAzXn2FDHFPqdERv" I saw that you made a successful transaction which I think your issue has been solved, am I right? However, I notice that you send it to other wallet address (15Gsdt9kvaKHNbnzzv3QXm1W91r4haoTsV)
I thought that you are planning to send your transaction to "3G8U8iQ5vrSEKHeFCtZ4SAB9iG9y2b6ak9" ?
7477  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: t9 in temp chip 2 doesn't show temp on: October 19, 2018, 11:57:21 PM
Give us more info about your miner like "kernel logs" and dashboard screenshot so that we can easily find if what is the issue of the miner.

Please use this ["code"] your kernel logs here["/code"] without a quote.
7478  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 fans rpm very high and is only detecting two hashboard out of the three on: October 19, 2018, 11:45:43 PM
Have you tried to flash it with autofreq-firmware? According to other miners, the missing hashboard shows after they flash it with this firmware.
Source from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5034849.0

So, I suggest you that flashing your miner with "Antminer-S9-all-201711171757-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz" may solve your issue.
You can find this firmware from here https://service.bitmain.com/support/download?product=Antminer%20S9

Hello users of bitcointalk!

Today I found my self getting an invite to a "whales" discord. In this discord I found something very unique... MTV (Multiversum) going for 3 pennies on IDEX ...and a little under a penny on forkdelta. Apparently there was some inside trading going on, and I'm just going to reveal it Smiley.

https://~snip~

https://~snip~

https://~snip~

as you can see it is much cheaper on fork delta

there is no point to try & hide this from everyone. I believe everyone deserves a chance at making it in 2018, and 2019. Together as a community not only will we make crypto great again, but we'll all have happier, and better lifes.

I don't think the MTV will be on the fork delta exchange long before being bought out - so i'd be fast. We'll all make it together in this community one day at a time :-)
7480  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Opinions on my mining plan? on: October 18, 2018, 08:45:11 PM
Nowadays, ASIC mining still profitable these days but it depends which miner you are planning to invest, just make sure that you buy a new generation of ASIC miner because it is profitable compared to old ASICminers.

Have you tried to use a calculator? There are some tools that you can use online to calculate your profitability by daily or weekly including the amount you spend or hardware cost.

Take a look at this tool http://www.mycryptobuddy.com/BitcoinMiningCalculator

For example:

You bought s9 for $200 and the hashrate of this miner gives you 13.5TH/s and the power is 1300W and then use the 0.06$/kWh rate.
Now, input this on BitcoinMiningCalculator posted above, as you can see from the MiningCalculator the s9 miner will "never" be profitable based on the calculator result, but it gives you around $39 monthly earnings.

Note: This is not accurate result it only gives you an estimation based on the recent difficulty, electricity rate, and the hardware cost it might change in the future because the difficulty is changing from time to time.

If you are looking for the list of ASIC miners that includes profitability you can check this site https://www.asicminervalue.com

Other mining calculators you may use:
