Just a few minutes ago, @womanderful started a thread on my/our local board on the matter (see Mover dinero entre bancos y exchanges). The context is currently Spain, and does not currently seem to extend to other latam countries, although anyone is welcome to chip-in in Spanish, regardless.

It’s seemingly difficult to create an updated list of people's experience that crosses the bank name on one axis, and the experience to/from a given Exchange on the other. First, there’s the issue of the sheer low volume of people on my/our local board. Then there’s the privacy concern to come forward with the experience, and then there’s the varying result for people transferring to/form a given <bank,exchange> pair, being positive is some cases and quite the opposite in others.

One should probably resort to consulting with the bank itself to make sure they won’t have any issue with to/fro TXs with a given Exchange. If there’s written proof, all the better. Nevertheless, not all bank personnel are likely to be well informed, so I’d try to contrast in addition with other people using the same <bank,exchange,[country]> touple.

Estaría bien ("perfectly splendid") poder recopilar y llevar al día esta información, aunque me temo que la tarea será ardua para montar en base a la experiencia de usuario (somos pocos), y donde ésta parece en ocasiones variar de persona a persona, y quizás sea además sensible a las fechas. Es variopinta y tampoco han logrado estructurar la información como querríamos tener aquí, pero por probar que no quede.

Rather than include this information in the above lists themselves, I’ve added a column (nMeritsAwardedDdmrDdmr) to the Google Sheet referenced in the OP to reflect this, for all the threads (similar to the first list, but for all threads instead of just the top 100). I’ve awarded 385 sMerits to the top 100 most merited threads, although strangely enough, 92 went to the answers on a poll I created. Total DdmrDdmr awarded sMerits to B&H are 2.832 in all.

Note: This last lists counts the merits distributed in the listed thread over the last 60 days only, not the whole amount received historically.

It’s certainly not ideal from a purist’s point of view, but we are going to see a surge in custodial institutions selling crypto. Many newcomers will have no idea that they could/should custody their crypto themselves, and a large portion of newcomers will not want to get involved with the hassle it entails. That is something we need to get used to, and whilst most around here will certainly vouch for looking after their own crypto, and frown upon those who don’t, the world is slightly larger than the forum, and most people out there are a lot less skilled that we may think.

Having said that, Paypal’s solution is not Token based. Paypal uses Paxos’ Crypto Brokerage API-based solution (see https://www.paxos.com/crypto-brokerage/) to deal with crypto holding and management, and interfaces to operate and display balances stored with Paxos.

I’d personally love to see the technical details of the TX flow through the different corporations and interfaces (Paypal<->Paxos<->ItBit, or whatever other topology gets deployed), but it’s not a token based implementation, nor a scam. Just a commodity solution that’s fine for many, not so much for others.

Aunque es meramente especulativo en términos de atribución certera, diversos artículos ya intentan cuantificar el volumen de ventas de BTC en EEUU a través de Paypal, analizando la variación en el volumen de trading del Exchange ItBit, utilizado por parte de Paxos (partner de Paypal para la gestión de los criptoactivos). De hecho, los titulares ya lo ponen a la altura de trading de Binance.us.

Es cierto que si comparamos los datos del gráfico entre Octubre y Noviembre de este año, la variación es notable, y mejor que la media de los meses precedentes, pero creo que es prematuro aún poder derivar la variación, máxime cuando recientemente se ha abierto la gestión de Paypal para todo los residentes en EEUU hace tres días escasos, y ahí vendrá el volumen. Es un indicador indirecto a seguir no obstante en las próximas semanas, y lo más cercano a falta de datos oficiales.

La versión de jochen-hoenicke es mi preferencia personal, y la facilidad del mouse-over me salva de más de un apuro relacionado con mi daltonismo, además de dar un detalle mayor del número exacto de TXs pendientes por fee.

Un par de datos que considero serían interesantes no las he visto implementadas en ningún visor de la mempool:

- Nº de TXs por fee realmente procesadas por marco de tiempo: Te haces una idea comparando con las lecturas anterior y posterior a la hora concreta que estás mirando, pero realmente estás viendo las TXs netas pendientes (nuevas TX- TX procesadas – TX dropped), por lo que no ves realmente la cifra que indico aisladamente.

- Las TXs no tienen un timestamp, por lo que realmente, según entiendo, no podemos saber cuánto lleva realmente una TX sin confirmarse desde su broadcast inicial. La fecha que vemos en un mempool determinado es la fecha de recepción desde el último broadcast que recibió (no tengo claro si la recepción de un rebroadcast actualiza o no la fecha cuando la TX ya existe en una mempool, sin haberla dejado caer previamente).

Además, cada nodo puede establecer cada cuanto deja caer las TXs no confirmadas (por defecto es cada dos semanas, pero se puede cambiar). Sería interesante, a falta de información sobre el broadcast inicial de una TX, conocer la antigüedad de las TX es una mempool, distribuidas por fees.

Es curioso como una empresa tercera tiene la potestad de poder interceder en algo como la renovación de pasaportes. No es algo que haya visto con anterioridad.

El hecho de que acepten Bitcoin como forma de pago es, puesto en perspectiva, un negocio más que lo acepta, si bien dotándole de un grado de visibilidad y con tintes de seriedad, al estar vinculado a documentos oficiales.
Quizás el factor a ponderar como usuario del servicio es si uno quiere verse vinculado como poseedor de Bitcoin ante una corporación próxima a los estamentos gubernamentales.

En lo relativo a las fuentes de méritos, no hay requisitos de rango, pero si se pide que el postulante sea un miembro más o menos reputado. Hay un protocolo al respecto (ver el apartado pertinente en Merit & new rank requirements), y una lista informal de postulantes en espera (ver Open Merit Source Applications,waiting list).

Theymos le da un repaso a las fuentes de mérito de vez en cuando, quitando/poniendo fuentes, y reajustando las cuotas de sMéritos asignadas. El proceso no tiene una periodicidad determinada. Alguna vez ha sido motivada por la presión popular en agregado, pero no siempre se puede acudir al mismo esquema. Un desastre claramente argumentado en alguna sección es mejor catalizador para revisar un caso particular, pero se ha de construir bien el relato.

En nuestro foro local somos tres los que potencialmente circulamos por aquí, con más o menos frecuencia, y ninguno lo hace de manera exclusiva sobre el foro local. De hecho, creo que ninguno nos presentamos al rol, y de hecho, ninguna fuente de méritos es por definición exclusiva de una sección o foro local. Pueden meritar donde quieran, aunque lógicamente, si uno presenta sus credenciales indicando que quiere ser fuente de méritos para un foro local, lo lógico es que ejerza allí en gran medida.

Las fuentes no son simétricas en capacidad. Algunas empiezan con 10 sMéritos/mes, mientras que algunas se aproximan al 1K/mes.

Por último, nuestro ratio de merit/post es relativamente bueno, y eso complica un tanto que se le otorgue a otro miembro ese rol actualmente:

Mi preferencia personal sería  más fuentes con menos méritos, a fin de tener más diversidad de criterios, pero el esquema tiene su componente de confianza en las personas, y ésta no es sencilla de extender sin arriesgar.

Lo de poder tener los BTCs en los bancos está más cerca con los avances en la aprobación del Proyecto de Ley para la transformación digital del sistema financiero (en España). Tener los BTCs en un banco no es lo más purista (de hecho, va en contra de los principios originales), pero comprendo que habrá gran parte de la población que, estando interesada en Bitcoin, no tenga el menor interés/conocimientos como para custodiar los activos.

Los fondos de garantía cubren realmente situaciones de quiebra de las entidades, pero no por un mal manejo, o hackeo de las mismas. No veo muy probable que llegue a incluirse al Bitcoin en los supuestos, pero precisamente, debido a ello, las entidades deberían detallar de manera muy clara cómo se garantizan los Bitcoins que tienen en custodia. Por poner un ejemplo cercano, Paypal no custodia directamente los Bitcoins que se manejen con ellos, y la custodia efectiva realmente la tiene Paxos. Lo que no tenemos por escrito, es qué sucede si algo desastroso le llega a pasar a Paxos. No he visto cómo se garantizan los fondos, más allá de la fe en que lo harán. Y la fe es limitada ...

Lo estuve mirando ayer, y vi la letra de la protección de datos de varias entidades que explícitamente citaban la cesión de datos a Iberpay como algo que veía en el "pack por defecto" de cesiones explícita y, a su criterio, necesarias.

Creo que has de partir primero desde tu entidad, la cual es posible que aduzca a que es imprescindible esta cesión para desarrollar los servicios que te presta. En todo caso, para mí el camino es éste en primera instancia, dado que la entidad es la que procedió al cese de dichos datos.

También puedes plantear el caso a la Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, y ver qué te dicen al respecto.

Sin tener que hacer nada adicional por mi parte, podemos verlo en el cuadro de mandos, aunque al ser una gráfica acumulativa, no es del todo clarificadora en términos de detalle, para lo cual uno ha de moverse con el ratón por encima de los datos. Puedes seleccionar y deseleccionar de la lista de la izquierda (muestra el acumulado otorgado en el periodo filtrado).

Mira que personalmente pasé de usar un avatar durante varios meses – no me gustaban en demasía, y hasta el décimo aniversario del foro, no se me ocurrió qué poner.

No obstante, ya me he acostumbrado a verlo como una señal de identidad de muchos perfiles que tienen el suyo customizado. Claro que los que muestran el logotipo de una campaña son un despiste total: hay múltiples perfiles con el mismo avatar, y cuando uno cambia de campaña, cuesta un rato asimilar la nueva identidad visual del perfil.

No es que sea un criterio específico de muchos para la selección de la campaña, pero si ésta te permite retener tu propio avatar, mejor. De la lista reflejada en el OP, sería curioso ver cuántas lo permiten (CM sí).

Mírate los enlaces anteriores a ver si algo te sirve. Personalmente, utilizo CoinMarketCap para BTC, a fin de jugar con los datos de manera sencilla en un Cuadro de Mandos (*). Tiene una pestaña de datos históricos con granularidad diaria desde finales de Abril 2013.

Coinmarketcap es de los que sabes que estará allí "siempre" (lo digo por fiar tu fuente de datos a algo sólido. Veo que tienen una API, probablemente más granular, pero los datos históricos son prohibitivos en precio (https://coinmarketcap.com/api/pricing/). Siendo un tema académico, yo me pondría en contacto con ellos, les planearía el detalle de lo que precisas, y a ver si tienen una solución académica sin desembolso.

No me voy a extender en este tema, pero creo que merece la pena dejar constancia de algunos hilos con información detallada al respecto, sobre todo al haber sido Paraipan moderador de nuestro foro local. Theymos recientemente ha dado el caso por cerrado (ver https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5266812.msg55579855#msg55579855), y aunque muchos somos relativamente nuevos aquí y no conocíamos mucho acerca del asunto, es interesante apartar un poco de tiempo para leer al respecto.

Paraipan fue, además de moderador local, custodio de 250 BTCs del foro (ahora el sistema ha cambiado, y es multifirma). Murió en el 2014, pero ha habido siempre especulaciones respecto de si realmente murió, o si se fugó con los 250 BTC (unos 125k$ en ese momento). La investigación de @GazetaBitcoin ha llevado a evidenciar la muerte de Paraipan, con lo que se cierra la vertiente especulativa al respecto, aunque los fondos viajaron posteriormente, y no se recuperarán (el foro ofrecía un 25% de recompensa para los fondos que se pudiesen recuperar).

Dependerá de la granularidad de información que precisas, y del refresco de la misma. Entiendo que necesitarás algo muy granular (por ejemplo, foto cada minuto), y que te permita acceder a todo el histórico, además del on-going. Asumo que hablas de BTC de entrada, pero con potencial extensión a otras monedas/alts.

Yo miraría qué te pueden ofrecer los Exchanges principales, especificando claramente lo anterior (moneda, granularidad, detalle e histórico/ongoing).

He localizado un dataset con datos de Bitstamp y ventanas cada 1 minuto, pero que se refresca cada trimestre/cuatrimestre. Te puede servir para investigar los datos, pero no lo tomaría como una fuente para basar un proyecto de continuidad.

Yo decline en su momento. No soy demasiado dado a hablar sobre mí mismo (claro que con casi 6k posts, uno deja caer cosas), aunque confieso que es de los hilos que me gusta leer, y que ha tenido una acogida sorprendente. De ninguna manera me pensaba que tanta gente respondería y dejaría testimonio con ciertos tintes personales en el foro.

Según escuché en la radio, la venta de las acciones por parte del CEO de Pfizer tiene la vertiente poco ética en el hecho de que hizo el anuncio de manera coincidente con una de las ventanas en las cuales puede vender sus acciones (para evitar chanchullos, se estableció una serie de ventanas para la venta de acciones, pero si luego el CEO hace coincidir este tipo de noticias con una de sus ventanas …).

Tambien he escuchado hoy que no hay que lanzar las campanas al vuelo. Más allá del problemón de la logística de distribución a -80º, la vacuna parece haberse probado en esta fase en casos que no son graves, y es allí donde se tiene también que ver la efectividad de la vacuna. De las más de 180 vacunas en desarrollo (3 relevantes en España), hay gran esperanza puesta en aquellas que se puedan distribuir a temperatura ambiente. A ver …
