7581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: August 13, 2018, 10:29:19 AM
Barcelona were always the favourites to lift the cup, and it's stark coincidence that Real Madrid has won three Champions League in a row and Barcelona have three more super cup than them. I believe for all Barcelona fans, the form of Dembele was a treat, especially after last season injuries and poor form, he's finally settling in. We'll all know with Iniesta gone, there's always going to be more pressure on Messi, and he came out blazing last night.

I'll also agree that Squarez played with little or no interest, he seems to think he's an untouchable in the team, but few more performances like this and he'll be on the bench.

If this is the trailer for the Spanish league then, I'm sure all are very excited like me who's going to dominate now, with Ronaldo gone, Barcelona are the clear favourites.

Barcelona will be happy but like you point out, it is the Champions League that they really want to beat Real in. Honestly, I thought Sevilla had a small chance, especially when they got the early goal, but as usual the champions find something inside them. No Messi goals but he did assist the winning goal, so you know he is hungry for success. No more Ronaldo, I feel the La Liga is less exciting now, but there are new stars to fill the space. Gareth Bale is all unchallenged as the "star" of Real Madrid.

I really want Athletico Madrid to push, but they gave everything last season and still couldn't really force Barcelona to sweat. Let us see however.
7582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Statistics about Bitcoin Gambling? on: August 13, 2018, 08:47:33 AM
I remember reading before that at one point many years ago, Bitcoin gambling was responsible for more than half of all Bitcoin transactions. So whatever people want to say about casinos and gambling, we should remember that it was a lot of gamblers who were early adopters. And look at us here,,, still gambling and still using Bitcoin. Look at how active this forum is too, full of people and new casinos coming up. So yeah,,, I do not know about statistics and what people have shared is useful thank you, but for my eyes I know there is a growing community. The casinos I play at see more people coming, more wagers, more prizes. This tells me it is increasing every year.
7583  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Status of WEX (World Exchange Services) on: August 13, 2018, 06:55:41 AM
It's a pity that such an old exchange seems to break more and more. I am glad that I do not do anything there anymore. Just before the first fall of BTC-E i withdrew from the platform and so far it seems to have been the right decision. Nevertheless, it is very sad that Wex has such problems. Hopefully at least all people will get their coins back. I wish to all customers good luck.   Smiley

The thing to have been aware of was that they never did solve their old issues. They promised to do so, but people waited. Meanwhile, they launched a new exchange in Singapore, started paying back old debtors from new funds, and people stopped complaining. Yes their prices were always better than other places so a lot of early traders thought they were being smart,,, but this is like a ponzi scheme. Get in early good for you. Get in late, lose everything. Just stay away and pay a bit higher prices and fees at other better exchanges.
7584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GLOBAL REIT - THE FIRST EVER BLOCKCHAIN BASED REIT on: August 12, 2018, 02:00:00 PM
Hello, I am trying to fill in the data to complete the KYC but my country is not in the list, in fact the list ends in the letter "U" i.e. the countries whose names begin with the letter "V" do not appear any more

I think you are not the only one who is facing problems with the platform. You can see many complaints from people now who cannot fill in the details so they cannot create any accounts at the platform. Very problematic, it seems.

Anyway,,, I have also informed the community manager in Telegram that bounty participants did NOT need KYC to participate so the new rule seems unfair for us. He promised to get back with more information so I am still hopeful. I do feel they should really pay more attention to their other channels especially here on bitcointalk,,,
7585  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Status of WEX (World Exchange Services) on: August 12, 2018, 12:11:31 PM
Guys, I think it is time we gave up hope on WEX and on BTC-e. We have already gone through so much problems at both these sites and everything is so unclear from the position of the management who even some are claiming that they have lost control of the management. I know how Singapore law enforcement works also so it will be a matter of time before the offices are investigated, and then we all know what happens to our funds there.

Just keep updated, but do not even deposit anymore funds there until this has cleared up. Go somewhere safer and more legitimate. And never put funds all in one exchange, no matter how attractive the prices are.

7587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GLOBAL REIT - THE FIRST EVER BLOCKCHAIN BASED REIT on: August 11, 2018, 06:24:25 AM
Update from the main channel on Telegram is that it seems now even bounties participants have to complete KYC before distribution of tokens happens,,, this means that the Global REIT team has changed their mind and will probably screw a lot of people who are not willing to do KYC. I am one such person. I have done KYC in the past for other projects so it is not that I do not want to,,, but I have seen how these guys operate now and I have to say it does not make me confident to give them my private details.

Hopefully they will reconsider, or they will lose a lot of supporters. As it is now, their delays and silence (just saying every day to be patient is the same as silence) is really not something we expected.
7588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's English Premier League Football Pool £25 to join Prize Pot @ £725 on: August 10, 2018, 08:35:15 AM
I am tempted to try 1 strategy for the whole season in a separate pool: just predict 1-1 draws for all the teams every single week,,, if I recall rightly, there was one season where there were 7 teams who scored 1-1 in one week. But I think 7 correct scores if you make 10 pools and try everything, you have 10 chances every week, and 38 weeks = 380 chances.

Let us say 1 in 1 million to win 500 pounds, roughly I know this is not professional and correct odds, but 380 chances means you have 1 in 2,500 chances roughly to get it right. That is not bad for a free game. Who knows maybe I will make 10 pools and enter all those scores Wink

7590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's English Premier League Football Pool £25 to join Prize Pot @ £725 on: August 09, 2018, 06:56:11 AM
I think I am really liking this site, so thank you for suggesting it. I have put it my predictions now for 5 weeks, and the Tottenham Hotspurs group is quite active so good to see and share the knowledge. We can just make it for Champions League or whatever league and competition here too,,, in fact if there is interest I would not mind looking a small amount into FA cup plus Europa Cup. But not too big of course, I already lost quite a lot of Bitcoin for last season. Must have some discipline now Smiley
7591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]MobileBridge Momentum - Revolutionising Marketing & Loyalty. Sale 26.04 on: August 08, 2018, 07:47:59 AM
Hey guys, just checking in on the main thread to tell you I think you guys are doing a good job. Very wise to take your time to do a lot of promotion and campaigning running up to the ICO, I know a lot of people were complaining it was taking so long,,, but there are 2 aspects. The first is the most important which is project preparation and outreach. I see Momentum is doing very well in this. Enjoying all the content and updates, so we really want to build strength. The Telegram is useful for updates also, well done there. Second aspect is the market, it is poor as we can all see, and wise to wait for it to recover so people are more confident about investing.

One word is I hope this continues in and after ICO. So many projects fall out of activity after raising funds. Remember, this is all about LOYALTY Wink
7592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GLOBAL REIT - THE FIRST EVER BLOCKCHAIN BASED REIT on: August 08, 2018, 06:46:08 AM
OK, update from my observations,,, this thread is no longer monitored by the project managers since AmaZix left. Only in Telegram group (official Global REIT) can you see any responses. As of today, I still have received nothing, but according to AmaZix who still replied, we just have to be patient. It is now 8 days since we were supposed to get anything, no updates from official team, just their community managers who say they will get back to us.

Also, platform seems to be getting a lot of complaints. And to confirm KYC is NOT needed for bounty participants.
7593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's English Premier League Football Pool £25 to join Prize Pot @ £725 on: August 07, 2018, 10:48:43 AM
Hello everyone, I accepted the invitation to join the league pool already, I guess I was one of the early ones Smiley I am still trying to get myself used to the superbur management system, I joined 2 other pools in there, one just with all the hotspurs fans, over 2,500 of them, I have a feeling for them this season Wink

Too bad no betting option inside, or I will lose a lot more money Wink
7594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My wife tell me that i should sell all of it. on: August 07, 2018, 09:47:17 AM
That is the thing with life partnerships, yes? Everything is a shared decision. I would say, if it is not needed, and the decision to go into Bitcoin was made together, then the decision to get out should be made together. For me, the relationship with a family or friend is far more important than anything, but I also feel that people who are close enough to you, should understand your point of view.

Compromise maybe, and keep both satisfied. Or take what you need, keep some for a rainy day.
7595  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [ANN]MobileBridge Momentum - Revolutionising Marketing & Loyalty. Sale 26.04 on: August 07, 2018, 08:12:20 AM

7596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What is the best Bounty Hunting Platform? on: August 06, 2018, 12:16:29 PM
The mentioned platforms by you are good , some more very good are Krypital group and Amazix group. Always do proper research before participate in any bounty.

I agree here. I am new to Amazix but so far I really like what I see.  A lot of people complain these days about Amazix projects because of poor ROI but I think this is a problem of misunderstanding. First misunderstanding is that bounty platforms do not put themselves responsible for price. This is different issue and is partly the efforts of the project but also just the market in general. This brings to the second misunderstanding, just because ROI is bad does not mean the project is bad. Especially not when the market is terrible for every altcoin.
7597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do Airdrops attract investors? on: August 06, 2018, 10:15:59 AM
Generally airdrops are for gaining the interest of the people. Simple thing is that more people know about a project, more money they'll bring. Also it increases the trust among the investors. If a very good project only has 2-3k subscribers on twitter, chances are investors won't be pleased with that and won't invest in it. But if same project has 30-40k subscribers/followers, it attracts the money.

That's true and not so true,
it only depend of the % of tokens airdropped.
If I'm an investor, and see that 30% of the tokens will be airdropped, I may invest less in the project, because even if 30% guarantee a good distribution, it's a big pressure on the market. On the other side, if that % is too low, less speculators will join the marketing parade.

It's only an example, their is some other parameters to consider when you invest/or join and airdrop campaign.

Airdrops are also trying to take advantage of two things. Widespread distribution, as wide as possible, to as diverse a population as possible,,, this is so that the second advantage is bigger, which is network effect. Every person who gains the airdrop will probably tell a few more persons, and so on and so forth.

But yes, if airdrop is moving together with investment, then it has to be managed very well, not just percentage of distribution, but manner. If only 1% airdropped but all to scammers or multis, then it is pointless.
7598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GLOBAL REIT - THE FIRST EVER BLOCKCHAIN BASED REIT on: August 06, 2018, 08:44:11 AM
I still have not seen anything come into my wallet after 48 hours,,, But okay, let us give a chance to the new team to get their hands into this. I suppose it is a sudden shift for them to get so much participants and so much investments, especially when the whole community management has shifted. I would like to understand a bit more about why this has changed for them, however. Let us wait patiently for some updates. A lot of hopeful people here, so at least Ali Tumbi knows the community is very active.
Where can I learn the information that the campaign management has changed? Such changes look a bit strange, especially when they occur at this stage.

I guess now that Global REIT has already finished the ICO and all the bounties are closed, they feel they do not need Amazix any longer to manage for them. That is quite normal I guess. The information did not seem to be made like an announcement, they just took over the Telegram channel and the manager was introduced and said they were taking over. It was not unfriendly at all. They just have not come back to this thread to say anything, which is a little strange.

3 days passed since they said 48 hour tokens distribution, but I do not mind waiting.
7599  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What role will stablecoins play in the crypto ecosystem?? on: August 05, 2018, 09:27:27 PM
In the future stable coins can offer the great benefits of cryptocurrencies, without the price fluctuations that come with it.
For now there is no proper system tk bring that result.. Collatarized and non-collatarized tokens has the issue of long term viability, as most try to copy the functionings of basic currencies.

How about the future where everything is denoted in cryptocurrency pairs or like denoted in Bitcoin? I dream of a day when everything is priced in BTC and every other currency's value is measured against Bitcoin and no longer us dollar or euro. Then actually nobody cares about stablecoins, they will get extinct. And with pure decentralization, maybe fiat is directly tradeable or exchanged for crypto,,, I see stable coin days as not to last for the long future.
7600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins BETTER than BITCOIN? on: August 05, 2018, 05:02:29 PM
What exactly are you looking for? An investment? A store of wealth? A quick trade?

Altcoins are good for quick trades to gain profit but I personally am a bit wary of holding money in any of them for very long. They tend to depreciate over time. They're also quite vulnerable to hacks and can easily be taken over. They're not exactly the safest asset.

Bitcoin, however, has a longer term security that is promising. I'd be comfortable leaving my money in there for years. No one is going to attack it, and it's decentralized. What more can you ask for?

Good set of questions to ask oneself when being involved with crypto. And the fact is,,, most people are here to make money, and make money quickly. Altcoins of course swing wildly, more so than Bitcoin, so very tempting to see it as "quick profits" potential but equally easy to see it as "quick losses" potential.

The fact that most tokens are so centralized is the biggest risk to me. Anything can happen if the devs leave. Which is why I still take my risks, but always limited, and must have a long term view in mind.
