Thats a good deal, worst case scenario sell them on ebay. Im not tech savvy either. My partner handles the mining, but we do have a ton of blades...someone should be able to tell you though...check you tube?
763  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: PSU help - mining blades on: January 07, 2014, 06:12:42 PM

764  Other / Archival / Re: [VSC]Visacoin:Born for circulation--based on BTC-Gold--Project start!!! on: January 07, 2014, 06:11:01 PM
Please track him down and hurt him. If I found him I could think of some ways to force him.  Id beat him to death with a blade and stick USBs up his ass. See if I could mine it out of him...haha  The bitcoin community needs to make an example out of someone for gods sakes. And you fucking losers make it so there is big money in scams and so you just entice more scammers.
765  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: PSU help - mining blades on: January 07, 2014, 06:01:13 PM
haha thats awesome...what a waste of some good blades. They have probably been sitting in impound for months. I feel sorry for that guy. Pigs took his trees and bitcoin hardware...damn shame

Please don't post "news" and then a massive advert for your site in the same post. Its not cool, sorry.

Good point. Just overlooked that, thanks. I reduced the size so you can still see the Tweet.  Is that better?

Someone recently suggested we get a lawyer and file our own patent.  Good advice?

Was it a lawyer that suggested that? Wink

768  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Best Mining Rig? on: January 07, 2014, 02:58:36 PM
Hm, I'm looking at a Litecoin rig on eBay. It consumes 900 Watts for 2.2 MH so at the end of the month there's hardly any profit left after paying my electricity bill  Huh

Don't look on eBay Smiley

Their price is not too bad IMHO. If I buy the parts myself I get the same price.

All miners sell on eBay for profit. It's just a sad fact. They regard eBay buyers as idiots. If you buy from eBay you are virtually guaranteed to never make a profit from mining.

No one regards ebay buyers as idiots. It takes time and know how to build those rigs. Thats like saying car makers think all of their customers are idiots for not being able to build their own cars. Im pretty sure its a little early to make calls like that. I bought a litecoin mining rig in april for about 1300 and I mined about 400 litecoins with it, and its still going for other scrypt coins. With the price of litecoins at 40 dollars at one point, that was about 16k...so I dont know how youre doing your math. More coins are made everyday and anoncoin seems to be the most profitable scrypt right now.
769  Economy / Service Discussion / How does blockchain wallet and kryptokit make money? on: January 07, 2014, 02:52:07 PM
So these are just open source wallet platforms that dont charge for services. So how do they make money?
770  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC vs CC for ecommerce, advantage CC. on: January 07, 2014, 12:29:43 PM
up to 1,5% cash back but you forgot to mention the annual fee that they charge you. Credit card companies take up to ~4% from the merchant on each transaction, and charge the customer an annual fee. How cool is that?

Also to be able to use a CC you need to have money in the bank and all the taxes that are involved in the process. So you pay a CC annual fee plus an account maintenance fee (at least here in Brazil).

But the whole point is, with BTC you don't need to put money in the bank system to begin with. It's not like you buy BTC to use it. You receive BTC and use it and avoid the banking system altogether. But I agree that right now most people would have to buy BTC. This is just because we are in the beginning of the process(transition).

Let me tell you another scenario that happens here in Brazil. If you use your CC to purchase abroad, you are taxed 6%!!! So I'm here in Brazil and want to purchase something on Ebay, whhaammm , 6% tax! I travel abroad and use my CC for my expenses (food, hotel, etc) whhaaam another 6% gone. Not to mention the dollar to brazilian money conversion rate that the bank uses.

When you see the big picture, it's easy to spot the advantages of using BTC.

This ^

Using bitcoin is the same as putting a middle finger in the face of CC companies and banks...worth every penny

I would say that is a big waste of money. Patents cost about 30k and you cant take on Amex

2k a day for 2 weeks until the following difficulty adjustment. If this is your first time mining you are going to be very sad with how quick the rate of return goes down.

This is not my first time...Ive had gear since august and ive done great. Everyone just thinks about bitcoin. Last I checked there were multiple coins mined with sha256. This is the very beginning of a concept thats going to change the world. I have already made a small fortune. I would be a fucking idiot not to reinvest. There are a lot of gambles in bitcoin. Mining is just one of them. But thank you for your concern

I'm curious what other sha256 altcoins you mine. I'd also be curious to hear your thoughts about what you think might happen between now and April.

Well i just mine bitcoin. Im still making 200 a day. But unobtanium was making more than bitcoin at one point a few weeks ago, and thats sha. I think bitcoin will be at 1500-2000 by april.

I think April 1 BTC will be 3529.00USD  Now, to create reality!

I think I hope youre right...probably be pulling in 5k a day if thats the case

I would advertise more. Ive never heard of Pikapay, and its not a great name for the service in my opinion. Tippercoin gets all the press lately, and by the name you can kind of tell what they do.   http://www.coindesk.com/tippercoin-co-founder-bitcoin-interview/

Why don't people just get refunds if they don't want to wait?

All sales are final. According to reports I've read, the official response asking for a refund is a suggestion to sell the preorder on EBay or to another interested party.

I think I read someone got a lawyer involved and the caved and gave a refund

Yeah, sounds like you will have to use a higher rated socket, usually found in the kitchen, for cookers, drying machines and the like to run it at it's full potential.

and then you have to search for another place to live since any other house equipment might break the circuit due max wattage, right?

Well we dont live in mud huts in america. Most houses have more than one circuit, even 15 to 20 most of the time.  But I would gladly find another place to live if im pulling in 2k per day.
