761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Working or not ? Two video Cards with my old motherboard on: March 05, 2018, 02:11:42 AM
Hello

Excuse my poor english... I'm just a poor french guy Grin

I've actually a personnal computer :
With this (old) motherboard : P8P67 REV 3.0
And with this (new) vidéo card : Gigabyte Radeon RX 560 Gaming OC

With Beta-Blockchain drivers and new vrom, my hashrate is about 140 kh/s

This moterboard seems to have a second slot for a second GPU.

So my question is, if i buy a second video card (the same one), will it work on my old motherboard ?  Huh
Someting special to do or just install the new card in the slot ?

Thanks a lot for your help ?

No problem for at least 3 GPU, more than that could be a challenge

If so, what could you recommend?

for ETH - RX cards 470/480, 570/580 some are using 550 and 560, Gtx Cards 1060,1070, and ti's some are using 1050

The real deal is how to get them with reasonable price and when will the stock be available

Can I keep my motherboard?

actually not sure about it, old mobos  some might work some may not particularly on the x1 pcie slots, although mining doesn't require high specs Pcie
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.2 (Windows/Linux) on: March 04, 2018, 09:44:53 AM
I installed new 11.2 and now Win10 defender reports (coinminer bit trojan) and removes claymore. What to do? deactive defender, will that be safe?

Add the Claymore app to exclusions

see this topic

https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/4028485/windows-10-add-an-exclusion-to-windows-defender-antivirus

Claymore should add this link to the first post in section where he discusses miner being recognized as virus on Windows.

Probably not needed as he already stated what to do

from fist page

Quote
KNOWN ISSUES

- Windows 10 Defender recognizes miner as a virus, some antiviruses do the same. Miner is not a virus, add it to Defender exceptions.
I write miners since 2014. Most of them are recognized as viruses by some paranoid antiviruses, perhaps because I pack my miners to protect them from disassembling, perhaps because some people include them into their botnets, or perhaps these antiviruses are not good, I don't know. For these years, a lot of people used my miners and nobody confirmed that my miner stole anything or did something bad.
Note that I can guarantee clean binaries only for official links in my posts on this forum (bitcointalk). If you downloaded miner from some other link - it really can be a virus.
However, my miners are closed-source so I cannot prove that they are not viruses. If you think that I write viruses instead of good miners - do not use this miner, or at least use it on systems without any valuable data.

i have stale shares from 10~40%.. is it normal? and how to fix it.. it is sapphire rx 580 nitro + 8gb

No its not normal, the new version should at least minimize the stale shares, check your pool latency, and pool servers, choose the server nearest to you and ensure you have a stable connection. if still has a lot stales, change pool

i use ethermine europe.. and ping shows 43ms min, 50ms max, and average is 46ms.. It is usualy average 50ms...
My internet connection ping is 9ms.. So i gess it is to pool or software.. Right now it is 5% and past few hours was 0%...
So there is period with huge stale shares, and there is period with 0%
You think it is pool ? Which one pool do you suggest ?

yeah probably on a pool, Ethermine is a decent one, been using it quiet a long time, no complaints about it, just observe if stales are frequent try to change pool locations.

this is a great thread explaining about stales

did anyone here experience there MINER shutsdown every 12midnight?

the thing is i can see my miner ON in team viewer.. im thinking that this is some kind of a malware... Angry

It might be that your Rig crashes and Hangs with OS, so basically you will see it in Teamviewer unresponsibly. if this is indeed a fixed time scenario, check any windows schedules such as Updates, Sleep, Monitor, Hibernate etc. in some cases might be an OC issues or a riser issues.
767  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Best Time To Exit Trading on: March 04, 2018, 03:15:22 AM

BUY THE RUMOURS. SELL THE NEWS (not literally)
When media talks often about the dump and publish articles, then that is the RIGHT TIME TO EXIT.
News, rumours, speculations could have a big impact and can affect the price of altcoins. They concide the price movements resulting in pump and dump.

Believe me, I did that and it really works. Prevents deficits and prevents loss of investment.

Thanks for this, and the problem I usually face is that, Its already late to go exit,  Cheesy been choosing whether to cut loss or Hold. been find myself always on the HOLD.

768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First build - EVGA 1070 8gb rig (3 gpu's) on: March 04, 2018, 03:00:58 AM
Hey all,

Here is my first mining rig.

Adding either 3 more 1070's or may buy 3 1080's when GPU's are back in stock.

Currently getting about 1415 sol/s mining Zcash (about 470 sol/s for each GPU) I think that is pretty good.

Parts:

(3) EVGA GTX 1070

-- OC settings: (MSIAfterburner)  100 Power, 90 core, 675 mem  -  for 2 GPU's

(2) EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G 80 Plus Gold

ASUS PRIME Z270-A motherboard

8g of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 memory

Let me know what you guys think or if you have any suggestions. I have played around with it quite a bit and have found this to be the sweet spot for now, but definitely open to suggestions.

Thanks,

Brandon

Can someone please help me setup my .bat file to mine Bitcoin private? I was mining Zcash and can't get it to run properly on BTCP.

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
miner --server stratum+tcp://stratum.btcprivate.org:3032 --user b1AdZJnXHHMHRAHhJJ7TS7D5nWkHpQLHuYc.esclavo2 --pass x

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Seems there is a problem with their pool btcprivate.org

use other pools like suprnova or zpool

EDIT: seems pools is working on other miner, I used Claymore with the ff config and it worked

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

ZecMiner64.exe -zpool stratum+tcp://stratum.btcprivate.org:2096 -zwal b1AdZJnXHHMHRAHhJJ7TS7D5nWkHpQLHuYc -zpsw x -allpools 1

772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is electroneum mining worth it? on: March 03, 2018, 02:15:39 PM
I tried to mine electroneum with my cpu and I dont find it good for me. The hash rate was pretty decent but the coins I do get after a block mined is not worth my time or the work I am putting into it.

Do you guys think that mining electroneum with gpu is worth a try or just failure?

reply from miners appreciated.

What are you after at? Profits?

simulate GPU's thru online calculators www.whattomine.com from there you can have an idea if indeed its profitable.

what a true miner deed is to mine and HOLD.
773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 580 3card RIG / hashrate issue on: March 02, 2018, 11:28:32 PM
I had the issue as well that my cards gave 17 hash. My isseu was that I the driver I ahd installed had a bug.

de-install your driver with DDU and install the latest blockchain driver. Now my cards are running at 32 mh/s

Dude, he is using Linux Cheesy

really there is no one who could help me up? Sad

What I see is that in your Modding issue, try to use the one click patch otherwise follow these steps.

774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarfpool not showing my miner in control panel on: March 02, 2018, 11:24:27 PM
Hope I posted in the correct thread. If not I apologize

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-us.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal 0x976651424022398547a7642de954b5fac7af2dc3/miner0001 -epsw mine@gmail.com -mode 1 -ftime 10

This is what I have in my claymore bat file. Does it look correct. Asking cuz dwarfpool isn’t showing anything in the control panel

Thanks in advance
Chris

Ps. Mine@gmail is not the right email address changed for security

-epsw is for user pass password on pools, dwarfpool doesn't use it, simply remove this if you want an email monitoring on your worker try this

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-us.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal 0x976651424022398547a7642de954b5fac7af2dc3/miner0001/mine@gmail.com

775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Advice needed with electroneum on: March 02, 2018, 11:22:56 AM
I am a complete newbie in mining and I have setup a simple rig with two RX 570s.

The rig works great giving me around 900 MHz per gpu and my monitor is connected to one of the gpus. As soon as l take out the hdmi cable from the gpu or even take the tv power cable out of the switch, one of the gpu (that has monitor connected) goes from 900MHz to 0 MHz giving and crashes.

I am using Claymore miner and my afterburner settings are as follows:
Power limit -10
Memory clock 2100
Fan 65%

I have a pretty cheap motherboard MSI b250m pro-vd that doesn't have an hdmi input. I am doing something wrong and need some direction.

try not to use the monitor and manage them thru VNC or Teamviewer, otherwise use Dummy plug

776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash hash rate lower than benchmark (bug ?) on: March 02, 2018, 08:05:26 AM
I would like to bring this topic to top as I have a common problem.

I use RX470 and RX480 on stock settings (C1270 M1750) with Nicehash -> Claymore miner.
RX470 shows 17.7 MH/s in "Standart" benchmark and only 15.8 MH/s while mining.
RX480 shows 25 MH/s in "Standart" benchmark and only 19 MH/s while mining.

Tried to run "Precise" benchmark.
RX470 showed 20.9 MH/s in benchmark, still giving 15.8 MH/s while mining.
RX480 showed same 25 MH/s in benchmark.

Tried to run a single Claymore miner - same mining hashrate.

I know that RX470 should give something about 20 MH/s by stock settings and RX480 should have 25 MH/s.
Power is absolutely more than enough. No throttling noticed in MSI Afterburner.

Hashrate for Equihash is the same in benchmark and mining, so I have to run both cards with equihash getting lower profit.

Many thanks for any ideas...

Mod your GPU bios, RX470 would reach at least 27-29mh/s, RX 480 29-30mh/s.

778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: After RIG restart on Windows 10 I can't see all GPU on: March 01, 2018, 11:53:19 PM

Yes I use 2 PSU a Corsair 750W and an HP DPS-1200FB so the total power available is 1950W while the max power usage when all GPU are working is about 1000W

Gotya, so that's the culprit, I wonder how did you do your setup.

Seems that 1200w could already handle your whole system, but needs a bit underclock, you may save 1 psu.
779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Mining Rig Black Screen on: March 01, 2018, 11:42:00 PM
still having this issues change psu ram risers cable and doesnt work i dont have any idea about it :/

Here's what I could suggest, prove that it is indeed a mboard problem

Isolation:

- Remove all GPU's, Install 1 GPU only to x16 PCIe slot, then fireup miner.

Result:

- if it resolves your problem, then your motherboard is good.
- if it still crashing, check your clocks, set

Power Limit at 70%
Core Clock -100
Memory Clock +850

- if its now stable, then your motherboard is good and the culprit might be in risers or PSU's or something else.

Thanks for answer i try everything didint had any driver crash problem reset or etc. rig working stable more time 12 hours to 1 week and something happend without error and stay black screen when reset pc check windows log and there no any error i was think its will be hdd problem because im use notebook harddisk i think cant read sometimes and windows crashing or its motherboard problem

Did you try what I suggested above?

same results?
