7681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Will mining profitability keep going down, or will it stop - or increase? on: July 02, 2017, 01:20:49 PM
Hi, I couldn't find anything about it on the internet so i decided to start this.
I've been mining on a GTX 1060 for the last 5 months, when the when the profitability was at 1 mBTC/d (Using Nicehash), and BTC price was ~800$. After the price started rising my profit increased to about 1.9 mBTC. But now it's is at 0.8 mBTC.

I'm still kind of noob, so here are my questions:
What was the reason there was an increase in the profit when bitcoin price rose?
What is happening to the profit now?
Is there hopes of the profit rising again? Or at least stay at this and don't decline more?
I was planing to get seriously into it and buy a couple of gpus. should I go for RX 470 (provided i can find any) or GTX 1070, or should i wait for Vega?
Thanks.
You should really expect that since you are engaging to mine coins with the use of GPU you should know about the concepts and terms related to it and as just normal we do know that as the time goes by mining difficulty does increase since you are not only the one who do mine but there are lots who are doing the same thing as yours.Just take a look on bitcoins difficulty its just like that, mining difficulty does increase  and lucky for you that it only drops 0.8 mbtc and not gaining much lower since price of bitcoins rose up too its still a good amount though.
7682  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Risk management. on: July 02, 2017, 12:03:59 PM
Does anybody knows how I can do daily trading of Btc and still make daily income? Please I need a good response.
This is only possible when you are already and experienced or professional trade on which you can able to make profits on such movements of bitcoins price and even those pros do really lose up money that's why trading cant still be assured that you can make money anytime. Anything that involves money do really have certain risk on losing it that's why we should learned up things related to it in able to minimize of losing. Trading does really require time and cant be perfect overnight.
7683  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase closed my account on: July 01, 2017, 08:10:27 AM
I got this e-mail from coinbase 30 minutes back.

http://imgur.com/a/foj1d

I was successfully able to transfer BTC out to other wallet but they closed my account for no reason and don't think they're going to tell me the reason behind it too.
I was using them since September 2015 and all of a sudden today they closed me down.

PS: Due to this account closure, I had to change my profile wallet address also.

Could they have mistaken any of your activity to gambling? Such as depositing and withdrawing to and from a HYIP or doubler, or any site that resembles a doubler? What about sites like faucetgame.com that looks like a gambling site, but actually doesn't take deposits for gambling?

I deal with many users on daily basis. Never asked from where are they sending me the BTC.
I myself don't gamble or anything.
If thats the case then they might been possibly using gambling site wallet or any means to transfer funds related into. Its really possible for this thing to happen and coinbase did detect the activity of your transactions which is the reason of closing your account. You have been using them for almost 2 years this coming september and they did just blocked the account all the way and lucky for you that you got the funds inside of it before it was been closed.
7684  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How do u get a place that has the electricity requirements to start mining? on: July 01, 2017, 06:15:29 AM
So far, the rental places i found all have something like 40 amp maximum load in the room. With 40 amp at 230volts, that means around 9200 watts only, about 6-7 antminer S9s can be used. Not very attractive considering the rental amount.

U guys ask the landlord permission to modify it somehow?

Where are you?  That must be some other country because there is no place here that can control the amps going into your unit and room or whatever.  The worst that I have seen here is a sublet situation where they might kick you out or raise your rent if the end of the month showed a high electric bill, but that is it.
This is what id like to say too theres no way that you can able to control the flow of current on a particular place since you do still pay up for the consumption that you would made. It do sounds new to me that theres a limitation on a certain room or place on its electricity unless if the landlord/lady told so that restrictions but talking about current I don't think soo. Theres no limitation and it would be sky is the limit usage. In doing mining this is really a big factor to consider first.
7685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Hard Drive Issues HP Recovery Manager Bitcoin Wallet on: July 01, 2017, 05:43:17 AM
Thank you both! Sorry I didn't format the question. I read the format post after I already posted.
Thanks again!
Seems like the issue have been resolved already better to lock out topic so that it wont continue any discussions later on. Good for you that you did ask first before making any actions on your harddrive problem. Reformatting or factory resets would really erase those files inside those drive, the suggestions above is the most good way on accessing saving files you do have.
7686  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: does ordering bitcoin debit cards expose us to the ID fraud? on: June 30, 2017, 03:09:29 PM
this is general, not specific against any website. I included it alos in my signature... to remind people to avoid to give too much information about themselves.

bitcoin debit cards websites are companies registered in London by Lithuanians who demand from you your phone, ID and utility bill, that's enough for them to make offshore companies on your name without your knowledge and they can get a bank account and make financial crimes on your name, or they can simply sell IDs. don't give to anyone too much info.
why they need more than your ID when your local bank demands only ID?

what do you thin, does ordering bitcoin debit cards expose us to the ID fraud and financial criminality?
does the law in Britain really demands utility bill or just "know your customers" or ID and that's all.
anyone visited a bank and opened an account in the last period? did they ask for utility bill?
When I made a bank account in my country, my ID was all I need.
All the things you do mentioned does really have the possibility on using those ID's that we sent from them not only on these things but also to services that do require verification which I do really hate to give. I do really think on this way too on which our important informations would be used on other way which we wont know and no one really knows since we cant see them on how those company do store our private informations. If you don't like to be exposed then better not to use this service, simple as that.
7687  Economy / Securities / Re: Forex trading fund on: June 30, 2017, 01:46:13 PM
hello guys,

I am about to start a forex managed fund. hope to have your support Smiley

angus

Sorry but...lol! Cheesy

Where is your past trade history, where do you trade and which pairs, any proofs of any kind that you have any experience both in Forex/BTC...
Why should someone trust a newbie with no history or involvment here?
Maybe you want to recover your 415$ loss through this "scheme" but i highly dought it.

Btw, who will manage the funds? You?!

Thank you for the reminder

i will post my track record here when trading has started

Thank you once again
If you are offering this kind of service it should really be convincing into the public not like on posting words without effort and not showing some proofs regarding on your past trading history specially you are just a newbie trust of community would really not be easily got fooled on giving free money on some random people here on this forum. Seeing on your records soon if you can able to post it here.
7688  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex unauthorized login on: June 30, 2017, 11:44:11 AM
I just received an email about successful IP authorization of my account in poloniex login a few hours ago.It wasn't me and I have not received an authorization email to authorize the login.
What's happening to poloniex?  Ayone else encountered this?
Yes, there are people who do experience this kind of authrorized log ins on other IP addresses which is really alarming since you know there are someone could able to access you account.Even myself didn't experience this stuff when I do make use of poloniex but others do. I don't know on how they do access it but the best thing to do change password and setting 2fa would be best on this one that is why I don't store huge amount of coins on exchanges.
7689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: New Bitcoin Address on: June 30, 2017, 11:11:45 AM
Hello,

In old days I see there is one address for which we used always now wallets refresh the bitcoin address. How this thing works? I mean how the balance is collected at one wallet of different addresses?

This is to keep you anonymous, the addresses are all linked. Makes it a little bit easier to separate your transactions, and you can give someone an address that isn't your primary, so they can't peek inside Wink

The balance will all end up in the same wallet Smiley and you can reuse the old addresses on clients, BUT BE CAREFUL if you do this on an exchange.
Very well said, even you do have lots of different address but all are linked on the same address which is your primary and as being said all bitcoins that have been transferred on those sub-addresses will always credit on the main address. This is what I like when you tend to hide your main address on public and they cant really peek you out. I don't have much knowledge what would be the risk on using it on exchanges though.
7690  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Hi! I want to Mine can you help with my due diligence? on: June 30, 2017, 02:33:17 AM
This is invaluable. Thank you for your response. After reading I do have a ton more questions lol.
I do have an irl friend of many years who is ready to go in 50% with me.
If I am able to get around the first pitfall of receiving the units, maybe by not making a bulk order;
would it/could it be risk cancelling to rent out the mining power, instead of mining coins for ourselves?
Thus ensuring a steady income regardless of bitcoin fluctuating value? (excluding a complete crash and death of the bitcoin, God forbid.)

Again, thank you so much for your response, I am very motivated to venture into this haha I suppose I am that one who cant just sit!
Renting mining power is even worse. Its like i will sell you idea how to make millions of dollars for $39.99 Wink. If it would be profitable they wouldn't sell it to you. They earning then not you.
Profit from mining is never steady income because mining difficulty increases steadly and sometimes very fast up. So your profitability going down always.
You must invest all the time to keep up with difficulty in hope with cheap electricity will make you profit.

This is only the main drawback on mining bitcoin because difficulty does increase overtime which means profits would be more lesser and lesser as the time pass by but seeing on the price of electricity on their place seems very cheap which you can actually be profitable but you should always think off and make calculations regarding on expenses (maintenance, rent, crew) If you saw that you are gaining and even possibly reach roi later on then it would really be a good venture for you.
7691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is my bitcoin address constantly changing? on: June 29, 2017, 08:02:48 AM
Why is my bitcoin address constantly changing?
It would change if you do press the feature on receiving bitcoin. There are wallets that do have this kind of changing address for the sole purpose of privacy. Lets make an example on coinbase, I'm using it and I do have wallet address that I do create later on when I do make transactions on receiving bitcoin you can able to see another wallet address but still it would surely credit on your wallet if you do make transfers.
7692  Economy / Exchanges / Re: anyone using coinfloor??? need your help guys on: June 29, 2017, 07:31:46 AM
I contacted Mark Lamb through Telegram, in the end. Rather depressingly, he told me what every other exchange is saying....... "we are recruiting, so tickets can be answered quicker.....". I also got my original tickets answered, in full, at the same time.

In short that's really a bad support system which they do answer queries and tickets on a long period of time.I haven't any idea on coinfloor site but just like what others said here they are most likely legit but seeing on their support it will really give impact on their service. To op, just keep on sending tickets and if you like make it spam so that if they did already see the message they will prioritize you first Smiley Just a friendly suggestion and don't take it serious too much. I know the feeling of pending deposits.
7693  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's the best arbitrage bot? on: June 29, 2017, 03:18:27 AM

I'd stay away from sites like these. This is most probably a scam and anyone associated or promoting it is probably also a scammer.

Sounds like a good way to lose your money. Rule number 1 in crypto, don't trust anyone.
Quiet smart for a new member on this forum and you are definitely right, when i tried out to open the site,i neglect it directly its just an another scam. Relying on trading bots arent too necessary specially when we do arbitrage trading if you dont have much time on facing your computer on longer hours then that would be the effect.I dont have any idea on bots that do have this kind of feature which are good on arbitrage.
7694  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Fees on: June 29, 2017, 02:56:22 AM
Not that quick, but I got 1.547 sats/byte confirmed in 24.5 days. I had patience.  Cheesy

Yeah, small micro-transactions with low fees like that will be the lowest priority, but they will relay and likely confirm.
1 sat/byte is really ridiculous and not all people could able to wait for that long since we do make use of our bitcoin and we cant afford on that very long confirmation time and i somehow believe this fee would possibly be rejected- not to sure but most likely.

Back to op, you cant do anything about it on the sudden price increase of tx fee on bitcoin and you are not the only one having a problem on that. This is why when you tried to make transfers then better to avoid micro tx becuase fees will hurt you out.
7695  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New to bitcoin mining, looking for cloudmining on: June 29, 2017, 02:27:40 AM
Hi,
As the title said, new to cryptocoin mining. In the long term I might want to get my own hardware but for now that's financially not possible. So the smaller monthly amounts with a Cloudmining company to get started today are very tempting.

So of course a simple search string got me Genesis and Hashing24 as prime suspects to hand over my money and start mining today, but then I found several posts on this forum claiming they are scams. So where smoke is there is fire, and I'm now less likely to give them my order. (not 100% convinced of either them being fully a scam or just bad experiences going vocal)

So my ultimate question is, are there any cloud miners out there that do get great recommendations, company's that you do recommend.
Yes I do understand self mining is more "fun" and most likely a bit more lucrative as well. But as mentioned before, I do not have the cash around to invest in machine and deal with the power costs.

I hope to get some recommendations, and thank you for any assistance you can provide me.

Even genesis is still operating we cant still be sure that they wont ran later on,no one really knows. The cloud miner that i do know is genesis and hashflare and other than those similar sites turns out to be scam. Most cloud mining sites are ponzi which they dont actually ran a mining farm but they do claimed that they have and for most newbies that do like easy money without doing too much effort then will find this thing interesting which they would really tend to put up money but later on they all got scammed. Stay away with this kind of schemes better to focus on other things which can possibly generate you some good income or profits.
7696  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift? on: June 28, 2017, 10:27:51 AM
Quote
Some tech-savvy wedding-goers are gifting the digital currency to new couples. Honeyfund, a honeymoon registry that allows guests to give cash rather than gifts, has seen more than a dozen customers donate in bitcoin, said chief executive officer and co-founder Sara Margulis. In recent years, more than a dozen customers have chosen to route donations to the site from bitcoin wallets. Zola, a wedding registry website, has had just two cash funds created for bitcoins since 2013, a spokeswoman said. "I would expect it to pop more as millennials come into the wedding age,” Honeyfund’s Margulis said. “It’s something you will do if your friends and family are already into bitcoin.

Bitcoin as an retirement plan, bitcoin to secure the future of your kids, and now bitcoin as a wedding gift. Whether or not bitcoin replaces cash in future, it looks like the trend of gifting bitcoin instead of cash at weddings is definitely going to catch up and more wedding registeries would be adding bitcoin as a gifting option.

Quote
Avoid using a wedding gift "as an opportunity to proselytize a technology you personally believe in, but the recipient could not care less about."

People who are not into bitcoin might not appreciate getting a volatile currency as a gift, and might never use it, thus adding it to the list of lost coins, but I think people who are already using bitcoin or would most probably use it in future then bitcoin instead of cash is the apt wedding gift for them.

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/would-you-give-bitcoin-as-a-wedding-gift-2017-06-27
Depending on the person to whom you would gonna give the gift because if you give him bitcoin without any knowledge on it then it would somehow useless for him since he doesn't even know what it is and dontt know how to use but still if he appreciates then it should be fine but the best thing on gifting bitcoin to someone is those who have knowledge because for sure they will surely appreciate your present.
7697  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: STARTING A SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN on: June 28, 2017, 09:45:51 AM
Hello everyone. i am quiet new here can someone place teach me how to start a signature campaign. especially how to place an ad on my signature. it seems to not working out for me
Are you trying to start a signature campaign or trying to join? If you are still quiet confused on putting up signature then first thing click that "Profile" then go to "Forum Profile Information" and you can see signature space on the bottom and if you already know about this and you said it doesn't work for you then it wont really work since each rank do have limitation on characters which means when you tried out to put many characters on a jr. member account then it wont work. The higher the rank the higher limitation or characters you would have.
7698  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BUY high sell low ? on: June 28, 2017, 08:07:01 AM
or may be buy low sell high ?

Lot of noobs traders , don't control their emotions and make worst mistakes : buy at high price and sell at lowest

how to control this ? = put orders (buy/sell) and close the platform
When we are still a newbie on trading we do normally commit mistakes which we would eventually experience this thing. Even myself did this thing going back on the past which causes for me to lose money but no one could able to make things right for you but only to your self realization and the learnings from your past mistakes. As you do trades you will gradually increase knowledge later on and the mistakes you did in the past will be surely avoided since you already got have the idea. This is reality and theres nothing to be ashamed of.
7699  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BIT.AC - has BIT.AC filed for bankrupcy? on: June 28, 2017, 03:29:58 AM
^^ its good that bitac management is already making some words on these countless issues against on the site. If the said thing was true then its really a serious inside job. Im little bit curious on how does 2fa identification have been bypassed? Knowing that most of us do have our own email and its not really conincident that most users would have the same issue. Please do clarify on whats happening on those lost funds.
7700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: it is ethereum failing not bitcoin and not other altcoins on: June 28, 2017, 02:56:55 AM
Why do people still argue this kind of stuff? If ETH do fall then we cant do anything about it but i would say it would not disappear so easily it may dump or crash but it will still remain and seeing reds on altcoin and on bitcoins on yesterdays isnt really surprising anymore because thats the part of a healthy price movements  Grin checking on bitcoin it starts to climb up again so go with the flow. Dont have much interest on ETH though.
