Hey I extracted v1.4.7.1 and just copied over nxt_db into the folder, but when I try to start the server I get this error 2015-01-11 02:34:02 SEVERE: org.h2.jdbc.JdbcSQLException: File corrupted while reading record: "474389 of 471439". Possible solution: use the recovery tool [90030-176]

bunch of lines and then the server stops. Any hint? Looks like your database got corrupted somehow, maybe when closing Nxt the last time. For a shortcut instead of re-downloading the blockchain, visit the Nxt Peer Explorer, scroll down and click "Download Nxt Blockchain" in the bottom right. It will get you a zipped copy of the Nxt blockchain updated in the last day. If you start with this downloaded nxt_db, you will be caught up and running in a few minutes. Thank you. |

I took inspiration by NXT wallet passphrases, my generating-password-pattern is now a pseudo random 20words string. I call it pseudo random cause the algohoritm is my stream of consciousness. Thanks, it was a good read, and I hate Bob! You make some cool effort to keep us away from alt-coin scams. I just have one complaint though: I was 30 yrs old when I started reading that; and when finished, I was 36. I've watched Bitcoin from the beginning and can tell you Bobs no different or bad then all of the early "soldiers" of Bitcoin. They were all here just to pump the coin, hide the truth and make big cash fast. Replace Bob with Erik Voorhees, James McCarthy or any of the early Bitcointalk preachers and you end up with the same thing. The coins aren't bad, the devs are doing their jobs but the preachers and pumpers are only here to line their pockets. Most people are only using Bitcoin to line their pockets. They sure as hell aren't here because they give a shit about the ideals of Bitcoin. It is a little like reading the forum version of "War and Peace". LOL.. of course i care about bitcoins core fundamentals... I just dont care about all the alts because bitcoin is the one and only. You are so closed mind sir. |
