781  Economy / Economics / Re: Mental barrier stops from buying BTC on: September 09, 2017, 12:21:06 AM
The mental barrier i see with people about bitcoin is, they lack the knowledge of wht bitcoin is, they fail to understand what bitcoin is all about, they never do researches, they tend to think they know everything when it comes to invesment and say bitcoin is just a scam and sad to say, most if these people are close to us. The next thing i see as a mental barrier is the language we use, we understand the technical terms even though they are hard to explain, as for the layman's terms, once we try to simplify it, most will have a hard time of explaining it, since what people need to do is to read and researcb about the terms. Then therr is the generation gap, for young people they could easily understand technology today, but for those who are old, they might need a couple of months just to undetstand how to a pc works. I think the mental barrier there is, is that people no longer read, do research, just likr in the old days, what people want today is being spoon fed the information they want, that's there is this mental barrier, if you know how to read and competent enough, you can understand articles about bitcoin and everything abiut the subject.
782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FAKE CHINESE NEWS, DO NOT SELL FROM FEAR, HODL TO THE MOON on: September 08, 2017, 08:30:25 PM
Thank you for thus clarification, i've been reading the other threads, i think the hinese are just making a scare to cause panic for bitcoiners, we all knkw that media can influence a lot of people since they are available all around, but this type of news is what they want, thus can cause controversy and a lot will read it, and that' s how they earn, if only they could be honest about what they are feeding the masses. As for us, who are not in china, if they sold their bitcoins,it only means we can buy it cheap. We really need to make a sound research whenever news like this starts fire.
783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffet in 2014: “Bitcoin is a mirage, stay away from it” on: September 08, 2017, 11:47:35 AM
You cannot blame him, back then bitcoin was hard to predit even up to now,  i think if you had read books about him, you'll realize why he did said, what he said, just like cuban, the owner of dallas mavrericks, they know they are influential people, everything they say will have an effect,be it in bitcoin or the stock market. I think warren buftet, already has bticoins, since he knows the gains he will get,but he may be looking at bitcoin to be expensive for him, so say its a bad investment, stay away, a lot will follow him, so maybe the time when bitcoins price back then went down, he bought some right away, and knowing that there is annonymity in bitcoin, no one would ever know, we might be shocked if one day, he discusses on how people became successful with bitcoin, becuase just like ither skpetics, there's no way that you wouldn't want to find out yourself, why people are in it, you need to have it first hand. I think when it comes to a personality saying bitcoin is not a good investment, be it warren buffet or robert kiyosaki, we still need to asses them, the richest man in the world, bill gates even said, that bitcoin cannot be stopped, so now we have cintradicting views, and the latter seems to be correct.
784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stargroups 500 australian atms will receive two way bitcoin functionality on: September 08, 2017, 01:53:29 AM
This news is wonderful for all bitcoiners, you can wiyhdraw or buy bitcoin at anytime, i have seen these machines already on the net, but i haven't seen one in real life, if only the company that makes those machines send one to my country so other peoplr might be interested as well. I think if a lot of people see those machines they will never say bitcoin is a scam, since that's what almost all people, who asks me regarding bitcoin,is saying. Since the machines are two- way i think more and more people will bitcoins, but hopefully the machines will not be hacked, since we all know that fiat atms this days are easily hackable as well as the internet sites of the banks. We as a community should support this, and hoprfully ee can have our own machines in our country, and maybe there will come a time that you can also withdraw your altcoin, even wihtout converting to bitcoin, so we could all appreciate our hardwork on exhanging altcoins.
785  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin or other coins on: September 07, 2017, 06:39:52 PM
As an investor, i would like to have nire positive gains, for me bitcoin will still be the best cryptocurrrncy there is, but there are a lot of promisinv altcoins out there, i also am investing on altcoins, since it also gives me a positive return. I think most of us here would agree that bitcoin itself is already a great investment, but so is other altcoins, some may say that altcoins are better since they are cheap and you can easily make profit,  i agree with it, but needless to say, we should all respect each others view, if to some altcoins are much better than bitcoin, well good for them, it is their decision. I think we should all take a look at what giant corporations are doing, some are already stable by just selling smartphones, but they don't want to end there, they also invest on other stuffs, that's why we could see, their logos on different products, we should do the same too, we invest on bitcoin and on altcoins as well, but since we are talking about cryptocurrency, if you want to cash out your altcoins, you still need to convert it to bitcoin and convert it to fiat.
786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Moneyless Society on: September 07, 2017, 04:19:05 AM
moneyless society, I think you meant paperless, since bitcoin is also considered as a currency therefore it is money. this time we are on the beginning of having this paperless society, in order to achieve it everyone mus accept the fact that there is digital currency already and that we all need to take part on this, since it has not yet arrived on its peak. there is no doubt that time will come fiat money will become obsolete and will be replaced by digital currency, and as we all know technological advancements can be done easily with digital currency, we may no longer need to carry around our wallets, credit cards or atms just for to buy things or do transactions, it may be just in a form of scanner, like we need to scan our fingerprints or eyes just to make a transaction possible. For sure there will be new ways for us to make use of digital currency, it is also much safer, since it will lower down the crime rate, in my country, those who are addicted to drugs, tend to rob or hold up innocent people just to have their money, more so, if they see you with a fat wallet, but if you told them, you're not carrying any money, what can they do, they cannot get you hard earned money for your family, it just means that your money is safe, and this is just one of the thing I see that we can all benefit from a paperless society. but if what you are saying is to go back to barter trade, you could do that, however, there are a lot of counterfeits today, unlike before, and I doubt that people would participate in this, since we now have technology and just check your smart phone, in my country if you own the latest iphone, you are considered rich, but that very small gadget you have, are you willing to trade for some apples or oranges, once you got hungry? I think there is a reason why barter exchange became obsolete, we are just becoming more and more sophisticated and becoming wiser from time.
787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Congress plans to regulate cryptocurrencies on: September 07, 2017, 03:26:56 AM
this is one of the problems of the US government, they all just want to take your money, even your bitcoin. I do not understand why is it no yet legalized in US, since it is also a leader in information technology, or is it just because they have a lot of consumers,  making it look like they are on top. This move will just create pandemonium on their country, one of the reason why bitcoin was created is to have an alternative currency that everyone could use, since their inflation rate is so high, and we should also consider their national debt, their country is not that stable, it just seems to be stable due to the media creating a lot of distractions to more important news. I think if all Americans would find out what is happening to the world because of them, and not giving a blind eye, they would see that their government is trying to manipulate and control them. They should be weary that most powerful nations in asia are mining their own bitcoin, and in time the value of their bitcoin would surpass that of the western world and there will be a change of power. I can see that this plan of their congress may happen and there will be consequences, what they need to do is think twice or otherwise.
788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China banned ICO's not Bitcoin idiots! on: September 07, 2017, 02:16:42 AM
I think those who report the news regarding this, shoyld be the persons who understand cryptocurrencues, ICOs are different from bitcoins, they have the same blockchain technology, but the codes are different. The time when this news went out, the value of bitcoin went down and a lot had sell their bitcoin, and most took advantage of the time when it was down and bought a lot, this is also a strategy in the stock market, make a scare, havr people panic selling, so those who knows the game, van still buy it cheaper. I think we should first read what the articles are trying to say and then analyze what may happen, so in turn, you can have a win-win situation in your hand. We should aldo be vigilant on what we read, especially from the internet , there was an article i've read regarding this, that china is also giung to dump bitcoins they have mine, but apparently that was fake news, after i did some research, and why would china do that, they're throwing awats good investment, we could've just givr them are wallet addresses and transfer it to us, if that's what they want.
789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: And now Vietnam to legalize Bitcoin on: September 07, 2017, 01:12:49 AM
This is good news, not only for us bitcoiners, but for Vietnam itself, it only shows you that east are trying to struggle to be superpowers as well. We should check the geopolitics here as well, the west wants those countries that they had colonized before to suffer until now, because they want to show to each other and to the rest of the world that they are powerful, but they can't do it with some countries in the middle east. Those countries in Asia that had legalized bitcoin has a very low value of their fiat, compared to other western fiat money, now that they have bitcoin, it only means they can now go toe to toe with any other country, since they can now use bitcoin as means of transactions.
790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are the banks going to kick-out bitcoin with their new digital coin on: September 06, 2017, 11:18:21 AM
I think banks are now trying to be consumer friendly, since they have seen what bitcoin can do, they are loosing their precious customers, I think the reason why the banking family, the Rothschild bought a lot bitcoins is to see what they are up against with. I think they saw there is a huge difference between cryptocurrency and fiat money, the first is the latter is decentralized. If banks would make an innovation and make transactions be easy for people, they might have a chance against bitcoin, but if there is no innovation, they will be left out, I also read in this thread, that banks might create their own altcoins, that could be a possibility, but to what extent will they use the coin, if it is only exclusive for each bank, bitcoin will still be their basis. All I can see is that banks will really struggle once bitcoin is accepted globally and we all know out history, if you are obsolete, you will be wiped out, just like what they did with the barter trade, turned to pearls and shells, turn to spices and expensive garments, turned to gold, turn to paper notes and now fiat, which can be considered of no value.
791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I made my first purchase of bitcoin. too little too late :( on: September 06, 2017, 03:37:51 AM
it is not late since we all know that bitcoin will still go on a higher price. we should check our history, before at 100 USD, it was also considered high at that time, since need to work for hours just to have 100 USD and buy a bitcoin, now it is around 4000 USD to 5000 USD, if you bought it before around 100 USD you already have more than 400% gain, and it took years for that to happen, right now if you buy it below 100k USD, it is considered cheap and you will certainly gain more than what you expect once it hits 100k USD. so it is not too late for you to buy bitcoin now, what you have to do is that you should have the guts to but one and try to make more bitcoins, you may need to try different ways like, joining signature campaigns in this forum, going to legitimate exchange sites, if you're a gambling person, try to gamble and try you luck. What I see is buying bitcoins will still be cheap up to now, however if the price of 1 bitcoin already costs you a house and lot, then it is already expensive or if the price would equivalent to a Lamborghini or a Ferrari, so there is still hope and you can still gain more from the bitcoin you've bought.
792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Suddenly, Bitcoin Breaks into UK Housing Market as Down Payment on: September 05, 2017, 06:19:54 PM
this is good news, after china had banned their ICOs, surely this will give an increase to the value of bitcoin. hopefully others will follow this trend, since bitcoin is giving us hope, now those who have bitcoins on their hands, can now afford to buy a house, if they have enough.bitcoins. this just goes too show you that bitcoin can give a lot of benefits and hopefully this could also be true to cars. now we can surely look forward for a bettwr future, if this trend keeps on going, more and more people will surely accept bitcoin, and hopefully.by that time, we have more than enough in our wallets.
793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Almost All Cryptocurrency have fallen on: September 05, 2017, 03:40:43 AM
I think there are a lot of factors here, since bitcoin cannot be regulated, what the powerful nations did. is to hoard bitcoin for their own, russia and china have powerful miners, both governments are keeping bitcoins for themselves and not giving it out to their residences and banning ICOs, I think this a plan for both superpower to overthrow their western counterparts. I think both of them are studying different arts of war, we still need to check on geopolitics here, we need to remember that bitcoin is decentralized, everyone could have bitcoin if they wanted to, and the governments know their fiat system might collapse, so you need to hoard, if cryptocurrencies have fallen no one would even dare to buy it back, but if you see that cryptocurrency will soon replace fiat, you take hold of it, giveing you power over cryptocurrency, and that's what is happening today, the price might go down around 4000 usd to 4500 usd in the coming days, but bitcoin is bitcoin, and no country can regulate bitcoin, since everyone had the right to access it, but it will be regulated once it is depleted, that' why superpower countries are investing a lot on bitcoins right now. I think we should still be very cautious on whatever will happen, there is still the threat of nokor and japan, both countries might g to war, and it can mean bad business for the rest of us.
794  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are bitcoins only for the educated and knowledgeable people only? on: September 04, 2017, 06:59:55 AM
i think at this part of time, I agree with this, because most of the people whom I've encountered with that already has bitcoins, already knows the stock market, inflation, how to value things and how to check the charts, also they know their history, in which sometimes i am still shocked since only a few understand the history of money on how gold turned into fiat and now we cryptocurrency, however those who are uneducated regarding the cycle of money and its history tend to always ask me, when will they get their money, how can they be rich fast, or whenever ask about the topic of bitcoin, they do not know a thing or they think of it as a scam. it is sad to see that there are people who have access to the internet but they don't use it to do researches instead they only use it for gossips. I think people should be more smarter than their smart phones, they should do research on things they don't understand, so that they can have time to understand what bitcoin is all about and be educated as well, because sometimes, when we tend to teach them, they will just keep on relying on us or they would want the info to be spoon fed on them.
795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Uber/Lyft/Paypal would accept bitcoin, game changer? on: September 04, 2017, 01:37:12 AM
if they would accept bitcoin, i don't think it will be a game changer unless, there companies made  an innovation, that it is only meant for bitcoins. that course could be a game changer, however it will depend on the market where they are located, for example uber, uber here in my country has some problems with the current government, and thankfully it is already been settled, then next, is the patronage of people to bitcoins, there are only a handful of people who lives in the city, with knowledge of bitcoins, and has trust on uber, so their market  is too low for us. lyft however is not here in my country. as for paypal, i think people with bitcoins, would rather transfer their bitcoins via wallet, instead of giving their address to paypal, since paypal is a different platform. if they could only companies would think up of ways on how they can also serve, people with bitcoins and we can see that we can all benefit from it, it only means that they will gain customers, and probably it will be a game changer, in which others will follow.
796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Major Banks Preparing Fiat Backed Crypto on: September 04, 2017, 12:23:22 AM
i think seeing this is inevitable, considering the fact that they know they might loose their war against cryptocurrency, so instead of hating crypto, i guess it is a better business strategy to join them. but in this case, I want to see what innovation are they going to do with fiat, after how many decades after it was taken off the gold standard, this is a major step for fiat if this will push through, however banks should still keep in mind we talking about cryptocurreny, it is decentralized, so they still have no jurisdiction over crypto, they should know their place. I think those banks will just create their altcoins, for them to be in the game, and then will tell people that theirs is better, since they cannot have control over bitcoin, they will try to bad mouth bitcoin so that people will be scared and go back to fiat again, but the thing is, if banks made a fiat that is backed up by crypto, there is a high chance no one would fall for it, we are already a small portion of the population that accepted cryptocurrency, and we don't want banks to take over our transactions even the government, there's no way we would support that kind madness, so how can the majority of people accept digital currency, if at the first place, whenever they hear about bitcoin they always think of it as a scam.
797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does Bitcoin affect other Crypto? on: September 03, 2017, 08:43:45 AM
well first of all, bitcoin already affected all crptocurrencies, even before their ICO, without bitcoin, people would probable no give a chance to cryptocurrency, since bitcoin's effect was good and most bitcoiners are benefiting from bitcoins, those same persons will also go and try other cryptocurrency or altcoins. it is like saying that if you don't understand what bitcoin is and how it is produced, how it gained its value, you will neve understand other alternative cryptocurrency. and that's the first, the acceptance of people regarding cryptocurrency. then the price of other altcoins, right now, we are using bitcoins as the basis for the amount of altcoins since bitcoin can be converted t fiat, and most exchanges will accept bitcoin as payment, that's the second, the price of altcoin will depend on how many bitcoins it is. then lastly i think bitcoin affect other cryptocurrency, when bitcoin goes up or down, since bitcoin is volatile it can affect the price or the volume of trade when it comes to exchanges, your altcoin can be valued at .05 btc at a time or sometime .5 btc, and you can clearly see how much volume is being traded. i think, the first reason simply says it all, if bitcoin hasn't been accepted by masses as digital currency, other altcoins will have difficulty in being accepted.
798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you worried about the high Bitcoin price volatility at the moment? on: September 03, 2017, 03:11:06 AM
i for one am not worried with the volatility of the movement, since it is the same volatility that made it what it is today, so no need to worry. I think when asking this question a lot of us here are wondering how come there are some who will say they are o worried about the movement of bitcoin and others just take it easy, we need to understand types of investors, since we are all involved in bitcoins. the first one is the conservative type, you want your money to gain but you don't want to lose a lot, for this type of investors, if you also invest in bitcoin, you will easily sell your bitcoins since there is a high return and also a very low depreciation in time. then there are those who can take both highs and lows but know when to exit, those are considered moderately aggressive since they are studying the market, and want a win-win situation or a stale mate, when they feel their investment is going down. then we have the aggressive ones, that's where most of us belongs, we want to get the highest gains though there is also a high risk of losing, but when it comes to bitcoin it is a different story. i think we should first check what type are we, before we even engage in investing so we we know our tolerance.
799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: North Korean Hackers Reportedly Attack Bitcoin Exchange in South Korea on: September 03, 2017, 01:42:42 AM
is this news real? because if it is, it only means that even old computers can be used effectively for hacking.  We all know that sokor is years or even decades advance in technology when it compared to nokor, and surely their security is their first priority since anytime their neighbor nokor could attack them if they feel it. I think this news, came from someone who lost their bitcoins, and blaming it on nokor, since bitcoin exchanges though it can be hacked, it would take a very very long time and groups of very well trained hackers that could know how to infiltrate the stock market and change the amounts, in other words it is very hard but not impossible, and since that is he case, why would you waste time to attack an exchange if you could go ahead and scam just anybody, this news  is hardly believable, you will need a very advance technology, which i doubt nokor has. I think, nokor should really open its boundaries and show the world what it really has, and not just say that they are advance, i think they are just bluffing and there is just some kind of glitch on the part of the sokor exchange, and they are capitalizing on it so they can be threatened, we need to be more vigilant when it comes to news like this since nokor is already conisidered a terrorist since, they are planning to start a nuclear war with USA.
800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From bitcoin is a scam to bitcoin is the future on: September 03, 2017, 12:20:23 AM
bitcoin is never made as a scam, the problem with most people is that they talk too much and don't research nor ask someone who understand what bitcoin is. and sad to say even financial gurus, tend no to read about bitcoins, rather they focus on the stock market, even though it is their specialty, they should also try to read articles regarding bitcoin. I had an experience before with a so-called financial guru here in m country, I showed him the charts of bitcoin for 1 year, I should him all the graphs, and the speculations prior the actual graph, then I've been told that it is not a good investment, what you have is a scam, no investment can go more than 200% in a short period of time, even google took that long, then I ask him, is it possible to have a great stock, he then told me yes, but bitcoin is different, there are no board of directors, who are you going to trust with your investments. I was shocked with what I've heard and was saddened to know, that certain guru, doesn't do what he preaches, he was advising that time that gold is still a good investment, and bitcoin is considered gold 2.0, just the same with physical gold, there are no board of directors. Instead of asking that guru again I read articles and books and gained more knowledge, and what I've found out, is that bitcoin's volatility is a good thing, it will give you more profit in the future. I think those people who say bitcoin is  scam, just need to be more diligent in finding out what bitcoin is.
