The only thing about Bitcoin that is a bubble is the paper money it's being traded for, too bad people just aren't realising it.

Holy crap O_O that was an unpleasant experience, second day and I got some major withdrawal symptoms from it ( Nausea/Headaches ) from it so I guess that it goes without saying that I was drinking too much caffeine, now I've gotten over that hurdle things should get a lot better Tongue

I've found animation is a fantastic way to draw when you put effort in and I find it more rewarding than drawing manga, bollocks! >_> I also found that it's a brilliant way to keep you more occupied in your work because the pictures are moving ( I don't know why but I find stills boring now no matter how detailed they are ) and it's great for getting proportions correct because it will be immediately obvious if something is wrong.

It's a hell of a way to draw, tho.  Try producing a minute's worth of animation at 15 FPS and you'll be in tears.

FOR THE EMPEROR!!! I SHALL KNOW NO FEAR!!!

Plus I have this software called Pencil which I recommended ages ago which just speeds the keyframing up massively and eliminates most of the staff at a studio that you'd normally need to make an animation.

If I have no choice but to pay taxes I'll gladly pay Bitcoins to a government department of my choosing that I actually believe in, so no military funding for youuuu! Tongue

Inflation is high, but don't you think it's closer to upper single digits rather than 4 figure?

No honestly, at the rate the central banks are printing it's going to be far greater than people realise, think Zimbabwe or Weimar Republic, I guarantee you if the central banks are printing anything close to what I have in mind we'll need shopping carts or wheelbarrows to bring our money to the supermarkets.
7829  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Politicians are morons. on: April 04, 2013, 08:42:23 PM
The problem is there are also people who believe in this kind of thing as well, my own dad seems to follow this sort of logic sadly, like George Carlin said about politicians "They don't fall out of the sky", the U.S has elected Bush twice and now they've elected Obama twice, I'm hoping both sides falling flat on their faces when they win will finally convince people two party systems don't work but I doubt it.

And LOL It's funny you post that guy up there Snapsunny Cheesy I'm actually downloading Deep Space Nine because I've never watched the whole thing Tongue
7830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oh Noes! Bitcoin has been hacked! on: April 04, 2013, 03:39:45 PM
At least the BBC had the decency to say it was the exchange rates that had been affected by the hacking and not Bitcoin itself, I give them credit for that, people even on this forum don't know the difference.

7832  Other / Off-topic / Wtf Caffeine addiction? on: April 04, 2013, 11:41:05 AM
I was wondering if anyone else has had to deal with this granted there seems to be different amounts of hyperbole on the severity of weekly caffeine consumption but just to see if it really does make a lot of difference to your health I'm giving up caffeine entirely, I do drink a lot, something like 2 - 4 cups a day depending on how tired I am and lately I think I've been overdosing because of the amount of work I'm doing. So I've decided I'm going to bitch slap myself into being healthier and give it up entirely, so far I've experienced the withdrawal symptoms various websites talk about ( Jitteryness and lack of concentration etc. ) and I've also gone and made this thread to see whether anyone else has any experiences with this sort of thing.

So have any of you ever tried giving up caffeine entirely? Or for instance saw anyone else do it and found out it fucked people up more than you'd think?
7833  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: tired of people saying what if the government + banks bought all bitcoins! on: April 04, 2013, 10:00:02 AM
Because there are some countries out there who will rightly say that it violates their sovereignty and they'd have to get ISP's in all the other countries to agree to it which is unrealistic because they can't even get them to agree to the anti-piracy programs they put out.
7834  Economy / Economics / Re: Something's Got to Give on: April 04, 2013, 09:51:45 AM
There are two possible outcomes that I'm going with in regards to this price rise that I think will be the main explanations for what's happening with Bitcoin at the moment:

. Because Bitcoins are a deflationary currency, like gold being deflationary, they are merely pricing themselves based on the amount of inflation paper money is going through right now, which as we all know is ridiculous amounts, I think that particularly because Bitcoins are unregulated prices are going to go through the roof for them because of how much of our conventional currencies are being printed every day so the central banks can't manipulate the prices as much as they do with gold and silver. I don't think Bitcoins or Bitcoin hoarders are the problem and this is just a reflection of what a shit storm we're in currently and we need to stop trying to price things in paper money

. Assuming that paper money isn't being inflated ( personally I'm loling at the possibility but what the hell ) eventually the Bitcoin 'hoarders' will have to sell and as they keep selling the currency will break apart as more and more people adopt it and prices will go back to more 'acceptable' levels but again I find this very unlikely because how much paper money is being printed

I really do think these massive price rises and volatility is a symptom of money printing, the amount of overall Bitcoins as far as we all know has stayed exactly the same so I think we need to start thinking of Bitcoin more as a currency and less as a commodity to be priced in paper, that I think is where the true problem is with selling Bitcoins for the paper currencies, I think eventually the central banks aren't going to be able to stop other products and commodities going up in price and they will follow Bitcoins' pricing of paper money, the question is when of course, but I don't think anyone will be able to answer that.
7835  Economy / Economics / Re: The Guardian just posted a new Bitcoin article online, what a load of trollop on: April 04, 2013, 08:15:19 AM
Oh please, I can bet you anything there are a bunch of communists out there who chat amongst themselves and hate these 'left/right' news outlets as much as we do.
7836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BBC: Bitcoin is a bizarre game with a currency, which doesn't exist on: April 04, 2013, 08:09:55 AM
No, No, No. 'The BBC' certainly didn't say that Bitcoin was a bizarre game.
Two talking heads, one from a tabloid newspaper and the other a professional spokeswoman, were asked to comment about something they didn't know anything about; and succeeded in showing only that they could indeed fill airtime.
However, Angela Knight, for it was she who was the female guest, has form in this field.
She was formerly the spokeswoman for the British Bankers Association and was therefore the go-to talking head whenever the media needed someone to someone to argue for the Bankers actions during the financial crisis. (The BBC isn't Fox/Sky, they need people from both sides of an argument). Many are the happy hours Mrs ToWS and I have spent fulminating at the unheeding TV screen during her valiant defences of the indefensible.

I see where you're coming from ToWS but honestly they tend to take sides after awhile interviewing one side over the other more and so on, granted you can't get anything perfect but be wary of anyone who claims to be neutral or independent because chances are they aren't, when they talk about the wars for instance, they go blatantly loyalist and ramp up the war propaganda/patriotism and in the last election I remember them siding with the conservative position a lot when they saw they were going to win.

You should list what size she is so people know what to look for and of course the size should be on the finger she's going to wear it on.
7838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BBC: Bitcoin is a bizarre game with a currency, which doesn't exist on: April 04, 2013, 07:04:40 AM
This is why I said the BBC shouldn't be trusted Tongue what they do is they act neutral until they get told what the agenda surrounding their subject is then immediately form somebody else's opinion on it.
7839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any reasons i shouldn't move all my Bitcoin savings into a single address? on: April 04, 2013, 05:50:01 AM
I suppose you could, but you'd have to be of course 100% sure that the place you were moving it to was secure, I wouldn't think if you have a lot of Bitcoins on you keeping it all in one place would be a good idea, i know it might seem unlikely, but if someone did ever get wind of where you hid your Bitcoins then if they were all in one location they'd all be gone and then you'd feel like an idiot for not spreading them out into batches.  As far as I'm concerned no place can be 100% secure though so that's why I'd keep it on several addresses and on several machines, that way if one goes down then you don't have to deal with a huge loss and have a chance of stopping the person trying to steal from you.

Oh and having more addresses to move Bitcoins from also attracts less attention from the authorities as well as criminals Tongue
