7881  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Help! my coins have disappeared!! on: October 25, 2017, 11:02:34 PM
No. Electrum will not have transferred anything. Bitcoin Gold isn't even operational yet. All they did was take a "snapshot" of the blockchain at block# 491407.

One of three things has happened:

1. You wallet file and password have been stolen by a hacker (Malware with keylogger etc)
2. You wallet seed has been compromised (screen grabber, keylogger or you exported it to an unsafe place)
3. The private key(s) for the addresses the coins were stolen from have been compromised.

Did you export your private keys? Did you store your wallet seed in a file on your computer or an online storage service? Did you take a screenshot of your wallet seed or private keys? Did you recently install any pirated software or "free" software from unknown websites/sources?

If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, the chances of #1, #2 and/or #3 occurring increase significantly. In any case, your coins are gone and your chances of finding out who took them (or getting them back) are pretty much zero Undecided

It doesn't matter if your USB was connected or not, if the thief had your wallet+password, seed or private keys... they are free to do whatever they want with your coins.

Even if your malware scan found nothing, I would highly recommend you consider your entire system compromised. I would seriously consider a full system wipe and reinstall of the OS if I was you.
7882  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: syncing the blockchain on an offline pc on: October 25, 2017, 10:50:54 PM
When you create the unsigned transaction on your online wallet, it should provide the details of the inputs being used. All you are doing on the offline computer is signing the transaction. It has no need to know if the inputs are used or not. That is what the online "watching only" wallet, on the online PC, is for... it keeps track of all the incomings/outgoings and knows which UTXOs are still unspent and usable.

The workflow goes like this:

1. On online PC, using synced "watching only" wallet... create unsigned transaction.
2. Transfer unsigned transaction to offline PC via USB stick
3. Sign the transaction using the offline wallet containing private keys
4. Transfer signed transaction back to online PC via USB stick
5. Broadcast transaction to the network from online PC

At no point, does the offline PC need to (or should) be connected to the internet. Doing so would completely negate the whole point of the "air gapped" offline computer setup.
7883  Economy / Reputation / Re: --aTriz = Decoded-- [Cross Posting from Scam Accusations] [Interesting] on: October 25, 2017, 10:15:17 PM
He could be but if he makes a valid case,it doesn't matter.
Still waiting to see any evidence of a "valid" case... The "case" so far consists of a forum thread from 2 years ago... from a completely different forum... where the OP has a completely different username.

The ONLY link between the OP of said thread and aTriz and Decoded is that they are all from Sydney, Australia. A city of 5+ million people.

The butthurt troll "Accuser" contends that he "worked" for these guys, supposedly posting 100 posts per day for 14 different accounts (1400 posts/day!!?!  Shocked)... for over 2 years. Nevermind that the original thread offer was for 15 weeks. He also contends that they communicated via email and that they paid him... in which case, given his talent for posting, he should be able to provide documentary evidence by way of emails.

Given how long he has had to provide some actual evidence, and just repeatedly spammed the same forum thread link, while locking/unlocking a scam thread, creating a new account, posting in the scam thread with obvious alt account... the logical explanation is that he has no evidence.

And until some "valid" proof is presented... there is no "valid" case and he will remain an obvious butthurt troll

is there already a winning script what makes profits for a long time, every site takes a security value in behalf of the bank value.
when playing any type of martingale you will lost with long ranges at the end.
No. You're describing the gamblers unicorn Tongue

a +EV script (or method of gambling) would put all of the dicesites out of business. They rely on house edge and long term results to make money... theoretically, the more people gamble and the longer they gamble for, the more money the house should make.

If you're gambling to make money, you're doing it for the wrong reasons... especially if you cannot afford to lose every penny that you gamble.
7885  Other / MultiBit / Re: Help recovering old Multibit wallet on: October 25, 2017, 09:47:15 PM
If you have one of 17 words... then try here: https://blockchain.info/wallet/forgot-password

That is the password recovery for blockchain.info legacy wallets...

The 18 word one should be BIP39... which derivation paths have you tried?
7886  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bitcoin not showing in wallet after network problems on: October 25, 2017, 02:12:35 PM
Sounds very much like a network issue of some description is preventing you from being able to connect to an Electrum server properly.

If you are not already using v2.9.3, then you should upgrade: https://electrum.org/#download

If you are on v2.9.3, try going to: "Tools -> Network" and uncheck the "select server automatically" box and then right click on a different server and select "use as server".

You might also want to make sure your firewall and/or antivirus isn't blocking outgoing traffic on the ports that the Electrum servers are using (typically 50002, but a few use 50012 or 51002 etc, you can see on "Tools -> Network -> Server" window)

refer here: https://bitcoinelectrum.com/how-to-switch-to-a-different-electrum-server/
7887  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: changing watching only wallet to normal wallet on: October 25, 2017, 02:04:39 PM
In Electrum, you just need to create a new "standard" wallet and use your 12 words.

1. Goto "File -> New\Restore"
2. Input a wallet name (different from your original watching only wallet name)
3. Select "Standard Wallet"
4. Select "I already have a seed"
5. Enter your 12 words
6. Be happy Smiley

NOTE: You probably want to go and download the latest version of Electrum (https://electrum.org/#download)... it is up to 2.9.3, has a TON of bug fixes... and I believe older versions may have trouble connecting to servers and syncing properly.
7888  Other / MultiBit / Re: Help recovering old Multibit wallet on: October 25, 2017, 02:00:44 PM
MultiBit Classic doesn't use recovery mnemonic's (aka wallet words)... the only "backup" option for MultiBit classic was exporting your private keys. Refer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaijbTcxsv8

Exactly how many words do you have in your recovery phrase? If it is 18, it is most likely a BIP39 mnemonic and should be able to work with Electrum (you just need to click "Options" on the seed input window, and select "BIP39 seed")... if it is 17, it might actually be an old legacy blockchain.info recovery phrase.

No, it doesn't have to be Electrum... Electrum is just the easiest for MultiBit HD as it allows you to specify the Derivation Path. The only other wallets I know of that use the same derivation path as MBHD are both mobile wallets ("Breadwallet" iOS/Android and "Simple Bitcoin Wallet" Android only). For MultiBit Classic, as you have the private keys, you should be able to import or sweep into almost any wallet you want.

If you have the transactionID, you can put it into any block explorer (like www.blockchain.info) and it will show you the transaction details.
7889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: old private key on: October 25, 2017, 01:27:08 PM
That doesn't sound like a private key... The only formats that I know of are:

Private Key WIF:
51 characters base58, starts with a '5'
5HwVta1hpYkNRTRbJVEmiVEyKKV3ZVqY7Tmmn62udYqpjDrYsct

Private Key WIF Compressed:
52 characters base58, starts with a 'K' or 'L'
KwmYWci7As8RYwdYQBdnN7efZranJSHEKXAce1DRJKYVfCtjFYVa

Private Key Hexadecimal Format (64 characters [0-9A-F]):
10604F9F1D4DBB24EE7D1E07BFA649DC1539996D603B5A87109EAEA9F3F053C6

Private Key Base64 (44 characters):
EGBPnx1NuyTufR4Hv6ZJ3BU5mW1gO1qHEJ6uqfPwU8Y=

Did you remember if you ever used a wallet called "Armory" at all? It *might* be an Armory "Root Key", although I think that should be 18 groups of 4 chars... Huh
7890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitCore-QT Wallet on: October 25, 2017, 01:21:14 PM
1. I'm not aware of any other wallet apps that support Bitcore. So if you want to claim BTX or register for the airdrop, I guess you'll need to use the Bitcore-QT wallet for now.

2. If you scrolled a bit further down the homepage for "Bitcore" (The actual website is https://bitcore.cc/  NOT bitcoincore.cc)... you would find the links for downloading the wallet.

7891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin core multi wallet on: October 25, 2017, 01:04:13 PM
Yep, that looks to be right.
7892  Economy / Reputation / Re: --aTriz = Decoded-- [Cross Posting from Scam Accusations] [Interesting] on: October 25, 2017, 12:44:57 PM
Sure was nice of the thread owner to unlock the thread long enough for the 1 post newbie (who is in no way related to the OP Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes) to post in there, after they had "looked into" the issue... before immediately re-locking the thread... Roll Eyes

I especially like how: "both accounts are being posted by someone from Sydney, Australia" is obviously cause to suspect that both accounts are run by the same person. You couldn't possibly have two people from a city of over 5 MILLION people who are interested in cryptocurrency...

Guess all these localbitcoins accounts from Sydney, AU are probably the same person too! Roll Eyes
7893  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Accidentley sent Bitcoin Cash to Electrum Bitcoin Wallet on: October 25, 2017, 12:33:02 PM
Or you could just download ElectronCash from here: https://www.electroncash.org/#download

Install it, then create a copy of your Electrum wallet file, and put it into the ElectronCash directory and open it with Electron Cash. You should see the BCH there.

As far as I'm aware, there haven't been any instances of BCH wallets "stealing" BTC... so it *should* be safe. But if you're paranoid, you can go through all the hassle of moving your BTC first and then trying to recover your BCH.
7894  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to open my Electrum wallet again? on: October 25, 2017, 12:26:16 PM
Which version of Electrum did you download and run?

It sounds like you downloaded either the "Standalone Executable" or the "Portable version"... neither of these will create entries in the start menu or icons on your desktop etc. You'll need to find where you downloaded the .exe to and run it from there to re-open Electrum.

If you want Electrum to be "installed" you need to ensure you get the "Windows Installer" version from here: https://electrum.org/#download (The 2nd option in the windows download section):

7895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin core multi wallet on: October 25, 2017, 12:08:19 PM
The release notes for 0.15 seem to explain it: https://bitcoin.org/en/release/v0.15.0.1#multi-wallet-support
2nd paragraph explains how to use multiple wallets:
Quote
Multi-wallet is enabled by using more than one -wallet argument when starting Bitcoin, either on the command line or in the Bitcoin config file.

Then to access a specific wallet, check the 3rd bullet point down regarding changes to RPC interface:
Quote
When running Bitcoin Core with multi-wallet, wallet-level RPC methods must specify the wallet for which they’re intended in every request. HTTP RPC requests should be send to the <RPC IP address>:<RPC port>/wallet/<wallet name>/ endpoint, for example: 127.0.0.1:8332/wallet/wallet1.dat/. bitcoin-cli commands should be run with a -rpcwallet option, for example: bitcoin-cli -rpcwallet=wallet1.dat getbalance.
7896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Seuntjie' Dice bot programmers mode discussion. on: October 25, 2017, 11:59:26 AM
with the above code the script fails when try to multiply
with this message

[string "chunk"]:26: attempt to perform arithmetic on global 'multiplier' (a nil value)

anyone knows how to resolve?
found it it was something with the multiply
Yeah... looks like I forgot to put the multiplier = 2 line in there... my bad  Embarrassed

I've fixed my original post

ps. if you're going to post scripts and stuff... you should really use the "code" tags so that it doesn't make the post really really long Wink
7897  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Can I remove multisig function from wallet? on: October 25, 2017, 11:33:15 AM
All the tile says is that it is Electrum 2.6.4
2.6.4?? That is quite old... is that the version on Linux or Mac?

Quote
HCP:
I recall setting up the co-sig as the Mac Wallet with MPK, I either sent a test amount to myself from Linux to Mac, or it was to an exchange (I can't remember) but upon opening the Mac Wallet (which leads me to believe that first test was to myself and I went into the wallet on the Mac to see), I was immediately asked to sign the transaction, it just popped up to do.
That initial test did not require the save transaction process, and loading in the other wallet.
I suspect that you had the the "co-signer pool" plugin loaded and running... this plugin sends the transaction to a central Electrum server waiting for the co-signer to open their wallet and automagically sends them the transaction to sign.

To be honest, I'm still struggling with the idea of using a MPK from a 2FA wallet as a co-signer for a completely different MultiSig wallet... when you setup the Linux wallet, was that setup as 2FA as well? Or just as a "normal" MultiSig wallet?
7898  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Accessing Expanse on Ledger Nano S on: October 25, 2017, 10:59:47 AM
Could you tell me how can I enter to my Expanse wallet on Ledger Nano S. In general I had just installed Expasne wallet but when I try to get in to Expanse wallet by Ethereum chain it does not work - no aswer from the device Smiley Any ideas? Thanks in advance a lot Smiley
Ok... I think I have it. It doesn't seem to work the the Ledger Chrome App... you need to use MyEtherWallet.

First, you'll need to setup "Browser Support" to "Yes" on the Ledger Nano S.
1. Open the Expanse application on your Ledger device
2. Scroll with the right button to find the "settings", press both buttons to open them
3. Scroll with the right button to find the "browser support", press both buttons to open it
4. Scroll with the right button to find "Yes", press both buttons to select it

Once that is done, you then use MyEtherWallet:
1. Go to https://www.myetherwallet.com/
2. Click on the "Send Ether & tokens" tab
3. Select "Ledger Wallet"  on the menu "How would you like to access your wallet"
4. Select EXP (Expanse.tech) in the Network scroll menu (top right corner) <-- Easy to miss!
5. Click on the big blue button that says "Connect Ledger Wallet"

It should now pop up a connection box listing your addresses etc, you can select the one you want to use, click "unlock wallet" and you should be good to go Smiley

7899  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: transaction edit done by mining nodes on: October 25, 2017, 10:13:07 AM
Because the transaction has been cryptographically signed... once they alter anything (addresses, amounts etc.) inside that transaction, it'll break the signature and the transaction will no longer be considered valid and will be rejected by pretty much everyone. This would then render the entire block invalid.
7900  Economy / Reputation / Re: What the hell, i only bought this account and now lauda give me neg trust on: October 25, 2017, 06:12:27 AM
Any proof that i abuse signature campaigns, i was only the owner of this account last month.
Simply by buying an account at a rank higher than what you really are and then trying to claim a spot in one or more campaigns is effectively "abusing" sig campaigns.

They generally pay higher rates for higher ranking members with good quality posts. By short cutting that process and jumping straight to a "Sr. Member" account by buying it, you are effectively claiming to be a Sr. Member when you are in fact a newbie (Jr. Member at best after 1 month). That's definitely misrepresentation... and borderline fraud.

There is a reason why a number of the DT members tag account sellers and buyers.
