4: I know this may sound very very very stupid but do this actually work? It seems too good to be true to earn 2 USD a day by just IDLEing my PC ( http://prntscr.com/gi1y63) (and yes, I am aware of the electricity bill). It isn't "IDLEing"... it will be running your 1070 at close to 100% utilisation the entire time it is mining... get a copy of MSI Afterburner and check the GPU usage and temps. Mining will reduce the life expectancy of your GPU. $2/day... for a $430 dollar graphics card (cheapest price on newegg)... you'll only need to mine for ~215 days to make enough money to be able to buy a replacement card

You're probably looking for bitcoin.org... It is home to Bitcoin Core which is pretty much the "de facto" standard when it comes to Bitcoin wallets. It is probably the closest thing to an "official" site... however, no one entity can really claim ownership or control of Bitcoin... that's the whole point of decentralisation... So, there can't ever really be an "official" site as such...

Thanks, yes, using Coinomi now and had no problem. The thing is I have another electrum wallet and would also like to import it to Coinomi using its seed. But can Coinomi have two seeds? I know it can have one or more wallets of each cryptocurrency, but wondering if any way that doesn't entail the "sweep" process I could get the second electrum wallet imported?
You probably won't be able to import an Electrum wallet into Coinomi using the seed. Electrum does not use the BIP39 standard for it's seed generation. Even though it uses the same wordlists, it is calculating checksums and things differently... so if you import an Electrum seed into a BIP39 wallet, it will either show as invalid, or it will most likely generate a different wallet/addresses. You will need to export the private keys from the addresses, and sweep those private keys. Also, Coinomi uses ONE seed for ALL the different cryptocurrency wallets that it contains. You cannot have multiple seeds in one coinomi wallet. Sorry for late reply, why there is no separate tab for keeping track of replies here?
Try clicking the "Watchlist" link in the top left corner If posts aren't being added to your watchlist... goto your profile and click the "Notifications and Email" link on the left... tick the top box that says "Automatically watch topics after replying to them." and then click "save settings"

You would need to find the wallet software for Jewel coin and 8Bit coin... install both... create a new wallet, get a receive address, then withdraw from the exchange to the receive address you got from your software wallet.
|
|
|
If they're not showing up in "File -> Receiving Addresses", then try and use the 'dumpwallet' command from the console. It'll dump ALL the addresses in the wallet (used or otherwise) to a text file, regardless of the current sync status. walletpassphrase "MyPassPhrase" 600
dumpwallet wallet.txt
wallet.txt will be created where the wallet.dat file is.

Firstly, Armory is NOT a bitcoind wallet... it simply uses bitcoind to broadcast transactions and to monitor the blockchain to receive incoming transactions.
The private keys from your Armory wallet are ONLY stored in Armory, they are NOT in bitcoind. If you have the full paper backup from Armory, you will need to restore the wallet in Armory first and then export the private keys. You can then import those keys into another wallet like Electrum to access your BTC.
NOTE: you do NOT need to have bitcoind installed and/or synced to restore your wallet in Armory and export your keys.

The %AppData% folder isn't technically part of the installed program... it is, as the name suggests... the Application Data directory. This is NOT removed when you uninstall as a safety measure to prevent wallet files from being deleted should the application be accidentally uninstalled.
A LOT of applications leave their %appdata% directory behind after the application is uninstalled. It is a fairly common practice. Most (un)installers only remove the program installation directory (generally in "C:\Program Files" and/or "C:\Program Files(x86)")

Like I said... just because an altcoin is forked from Bitcoin Core/QT, doesn't mean that it's config options do the same thing as the original client. It also doesn't mean that the same parameter will do the same thing in different altcoin clients.
The devs may have changed the underlying code that utilises a parameter... the coin algorithms may be completely different... the parameter may do nothing at all and be completely ignored/commented out code...
All we can say is that values in the *.conf file should have a matching -xxxx commandline parameter... but what these are and what they do is likely to be specific to any given implementation. Without a more specific question (ie. I found this parameter X for Altcoin Y... what does it do?) there isn't much more info we can give...
Your best bet lies with the coin creators... or their codebase and hope they've commented the code and/or created some decent documentation.

An R9-390X is quite an old card... how long have you been using it for mining? It honestly sounds like running it at 100% load while mining has probably overheated and killed it... maybe a VRM has let go? Do you see any discolouration on the back of the PCB near where a chip is soldered? If the card is not working when plugged directly into the motherboard, that would rule out a bad riser etc. Your card sounds like it has become a paperweight.

Distribution of bytes is finished. Total distributed: 57,444.473272169 GB. It's about $19m at the current rate. New available supply: 583,896.4940036 GB. Coinmarketcap is already updated.
I'll update when blackbytes are distributed, it is going to take about 3 days.
Thanks for the update Tony... I assume that we can now look forward to the flood of "but I didn't get my bytes??!? Is this a Scam?" posts... from people who've moved all their coins (or bytes) around... and didn't link change addresses or move bytes to linked address. Awesome - I already confirmed mine. (I now have to use two hands to count my balls.)
I thought all guys used two hands!

Awesome, glad you managed to get it working. Python can be a bit of a nuisance to set up on Windows As for signing messages... that is pretty easy in Electrum: "Tools -> Sign\Verify Message" Short version: Type your message in the top box, put the address you want to sign with in the middle box, click "Sign"... you'll get the cryptographic signature in the bottom box. shorena created a VERY detailed tutorial here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.msg10775516#msg10775516

Generally... the options in the .conf file will relate directly to a commandline argument for the client... The Bitcoin Core ones are here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Running_Bitcoin#Command-line_argumentsHowever, given this is an altcoin, a lot of these arguments seem to be altcoin specific... They're certainly not from the Bitcoin Core client Your best bet is to contact the developers of the altcoin you're dealing with and ask them directly... If they have an [ANN] (annoucement) thread for their coin in the altcoins section, ask there... or maybe if they have a github repo for their coin, maybe check the documentation there and/or open an "issue" on their github and ask for assistance there.

What currency are you using? BTC or DOGE or ?? The bot seems to be setup to calculate BTC values in the withdrawal code (ie. 1 BTC = 100,000,000 satoshis): pairs.Add(new KeyValuePair<string, string>("Amount", (Amount*100000000m).ToString("0",System.Globalization.NumberFormatInfo.InvariantInfo)));
Given that you're betting "13.016.." and withdrawing "50"... either you're some kind of "whale" or you're wagering and attempting to withdraw in a currency other than BTC If this is the case, then I suspect that the final amount calculated is not correct and the bot is not reporting the error/failure message from the site correctly.

I did as you said, checked all of the individual "Used" addresses from the Electrum wallet, including the Change used ones, in the block explorer, and voila ! Yes, I do have exactly the amount of BCHs that I was expecting.
This would indicate that your sweep into Coinomi failed... if the BCH is still sitting in the Electrum addresses, then they have not moved, so the sweeping transaction has not worked. I also have Electron Cash desktop wallet installed in a virtual machine. Yesterday I created a wallet there using the Electron wallet's seed. No BCHs there... Strangely the addreses that show in Electron Cash don't coincide with the unused addresses in Electrum (there is no option to see "used addresses in Electron Cash"....this is mind boggling....
If you imported your Electrum seed mnemonic into ElectronCash and got different addresses and no BCH balance... then the seed mnemonic you imported is NOT for that Electrum wallet. The two apps are pretty much identical (except for the BCH mods to ElectronCash), so any given mnemonic seed should generate the same addresses in Electrum or ElectronCash. I'd suggest you double check in Electrum what your seed mnemonic is... also, try and import that seed mnemonic into a new Electrum wallet and see what addresses it generates.

Lol. Overreact much? Sorry... who is overacting again? You have to wait an extra 29.5 days to get your next allocation of FREE Bytes/Blackbytes... OMG, the world is going to end! #getThePitchForks You see that this creating a lot of confusion, hence it's a bad move (both short/long term) imo.
What's to be confused about? Tony has delayed the next Airdrop until Nov 4th... it's in big writing on the front page of the official website... It even has a snazzy countdown timer... seems relatively simple and easy to understand.

There are 2048 words in the English BIP39 wordlist... most wallets generate at least a 12 word seed... some use as many as 24 words... this means that there are effectively 2048 * 2048 * 2048 * 2048 * 2048 * 2048 * 2048 * 2048 * 2048 * 2048 * 2048 * 2048 combinations... That is 2048 12... which is 5,444,517,870,735,015,415,413,993,718,908,291,383,296 seed combinations... as a MINIMUM. Also, not all combinations generate valid seeds. So, the real question is...

There is no such thing as a private " address"... only private keys... So... Yes, just put in the "public" 1bItCoinAdDreSs that you have from Electrum into the blockexplorer...
