81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't blame the idea(ico) blame scammers on: June 12, 2019, 11:20:10 PM
Am making this thread because of the numerous wrong perception  seeing. So people are actually castigating cryptocurrency and initial coin offering idea for loses the made through it rather than really seeing the cause of the problem.

Initial coin offering is one of the great ideas in cryptocurrency and we know that it was efficient in 2017. Through initial coin offering some great coins of today where launched people keep overlooking the good attributes initial coin offering has offered but are busy bringing it down the more and making all hope of initial coin offering being as it once was hopeless.

It's too bad Scammers stated getting involved  in initial coin offering and projects without logic and idea also got involved but this doesn't mean good and real project are not involved or want to get it but the stigma had made developers develop cold feets

PS . let's try finding ways to tackle the cancer(scammers, poor project) of the initial coin offering rather than contributing to killing it

Scammers are always.getting.new ideas to scam the innocent people even in real world, scammers are scamming the.banks and we cannot.prevent this as they are all knowledgeable enough in.many things. Maybe what we can do now is to increase awareness in every coin or project.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HODL HODL portfolio on: June 08, 2019, 09:45:16 PM
lets post current portfolio, reason, update when it happens and future plans.

my current portfolio:
40% ONT
60% BTMX

reason for ONT:
ROI if ONG keeps this level: 20% in a year

reason for BTMX
ROI right now is 62% per year for locked coins in mining.

future plans:
1/4 BTMX, 1/4 NEO, 1/4 ONT, and the rest spread in 10 other coins?

At least you choose some of the most working coins, but sadly all of my hold tokens and coins are shitcoins, but i only have few on my portfolio like BTC ETH XRP BTC2, the rest of the 100 tokens are useless or even have 1usd in value in my portfolio, hoping that in the long run, it could recover its value so that i could sell it.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs BitcoinCash Which will win? on: June 08, 2019, 09:40:12 PM
Ethereum is the second largest cryptocurrency according to coinmarketcap. Ethereum has a marketcap of $14.6 billion. Ethereum is used in most of the ico to raise funds and most of the tokens are ERC-20 based on ether network.

Bitcoin Cash (BCHABC) referred many times as the real bitcoin, stands at the sixth position on coinmarketcap. BCHABC has not as many uses as Ethereum have but used and accepted in many payment systems.

What do you think who will win in the long term?
 Ethereum or Bitcoin Cash (BCHABC)?

I am not even a follower of bitcoin cash or thinking that its a real bitcoin, and just now i heard that its a real bitcoin? I dont believe on this idea or what the other says, but in answer to your question, i would rather choose ETHEREUM why? when it comes to use cases, there is no question why ethereum still the best among the two, in terms of liquidity requirements, both coins passed it.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long-term plan for investment. on: June 08, 2019, 09:31:17 PM
Hy all. How are you.Do you have a long-term plan for cryptocurrency investment? What are your plans, Is it only to gain profits in the future? Or you have hope and other dreams. Thank you very much.

I am always riding what the people believes in crypto, so it means that when the trend is all about profits, i trade but when the market is falling, i buy, its always a repeat process for me, but for my long term plan, i would always choose to hold more for top 10 coins in the CMC, which i believe that there is a high hopes that it could last more.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook Officially Confirmed Their Coin! White Paper To be Out This Month! on: June 07, 2019, 09:49:02 PM
Facebook’s head of financial services and payment partnerships for Northern Europe has officially confirmed the stablecoin according to this news. https://www.cryptoinformers.info/news/160-facebook-officially-confirmed-their-coin-white-paper-to-be-out-this-month

white paper for the token would be published on June 18.

But the coin will be tied to basket of currencies in order to prevent volatility.

Can we say mass adoption for cryptocurrency?

Just for one thing i dont like stablecoin, its really hard for me to make an analysis how we can profit from trading on it, its just a stable value, used only for payments.,well for me, if this is really true then i would assume that more and more users will engage in crypto as long as the stable coin of facebook will materialize in the future, this means it will also affect the performance of the whole crypto industry.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OBSERVATIONS WITH SOME IEO'S on: June 07, 2019, 09:41:55 PM
Hmmp, did your analysis combined from all our exchanges that launched an IEO? But i would assume that you only make an analysis based on the performance of a top performing exchange site for example binance, but i would say at least, that investing in IEO so far is working best, specially when it held in Binance or on the top performing site, but it differs on every site, at the end of the day, it all depends in our individual method on how you execute your plan.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Token of Future---- XLM, TRX, XRM? Worth holding for long time? on: June 07, 2019, 09:37:39 PM
No idea what xrm is but lets sssume you mean xmr monero, this is definitely one worth holding. As the top privacy coin you can guarantee demand will always exist by dark buyers and tax dodgers

Yeah, i agree Monero is one of the best coin to hold, but in my idea, XLM too is one of the nicest coin to hold apart from the amount of coins circulated in the market, but one thing that i always emphasized is that the liquidity requirement of a certain coin to hold, those two coins are widely traded so its easy to liquidate in case of emergency., so XLM and Monero are on my toplist.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is BNB the new ETH killer on: June 06, 2019, 10:35:46 PM
Binance coin has been making tremendous progress in spite of the bear market. In fact, the whole Binance platform has somewhat been progressive in the past year and counting and is seemingly doing way better than most altcoins.

I just gotta ask, is there a future for Binance at the top 3 coins by market cap Or is this just a ruse?

Edit: While the topic may confuse some, I'm not talking about on a product level, I'm more concerned about the price actions. Like it or not, most cryptocurrencies lack utility, to say the least; still, their price actions have been impressive, and for now, the easiest way to know the healthy states of cryptocurrencies in comparison with one another is through market capitalization (whether or not wash trades are involved), else we won't be talking about 'moons', 'bulls' and 'bears'.

I would rather invest and trust BNB rather than holding some of the useless ALTS, ive been keep eyeing on BNB since few months, and to my mistake i never been involve up to now, looking at the price value, we here all want profits and play the game.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you hold a bag of useless illiquid tokens like me? on: June 06, 2019, 10:32:39 PM
I am holding a bag of useless illiquid tokens. So do millions of other people in our community. We must do something about it! So I decided to Pick up the gauntlet. I’m having meetings with projects leaders, big companies, and trading platform, trying to find the best solution for all of us. Would love to hear your situation, thoughts, and ideas.

This problems do exist since 2 years ago, we cant help ourselves to solve this one, as pretended best developers are continuously creating ICO's, IEO's in the market and we crypto enthusiast keep on supporting in it, even buying in it, without making sure that their project will gonna work, and at the end of the day, we are holding their tokens and coins, i like your idea that you want to create something unique in order to prevent and make this things useful and avoid us in the future for holding this shitcoins, i mean without value coins.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Investing In AltCoin Still Worth it in 2019? on: June 06, 2019, 10:27:54 PM
Given that it has a lot more advantage of Ethereum ecosystem to invest, in my personal thought, i like to thing the liquidity aspect of a coin, ETHEREUM is easy one to liquidate specially here in my country, we have our own local exchangers, that is why, i am trusting ethereum and i am investing in it.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Factors to consider to pick the best altcoin on: June 06, 2019, 10:24:27 PM
Not a newbie but new in the altcoin space. I'm trying to find out some altcoin to invest a little amount. Suggest me some factors to consider before picking a coin. I am holding BTC and ETH as of now.

Good thing that you are now holding BTC and ETH at this moment but for me to say, a lot of things to consider when you are buying some coins to hold or anything, first things first are the project constant updates, this is important because it means to say that the team are working behind in order to improve the project in a timely basis, another thing is that how useful their project is.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PARTICIPATING IN IEO AFTER IT HAS BEEN CONCLUDED. on: June 05, 2019, 10:32:25 PM
I have often seen so many projects get sold out immediately after they are being launched on IEO launchpads like that of Binance, and ever since i have been hearing of IEO, i have never for once succeeded in making any contribution, so does it mean that once an IEO gets sold out, investors can never invest in the token again? or how does it work please?

Its a same thing whether you invest in ICO or IEO, the good thing about IEO is that it is immediately listed in such exchanges where the IEO is held and you can sell it when you participate the token sale, thats the good thing about IEO, compared to ICO where it takes time for them to list on exchanges, but everything is a risk, why? whenever an IEO is listed it can be dump just like the ICO when listed, so careful again.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to Create a MyEtherWallet on: June 05, 2019, 10:26:56 PM
Hello everyone,

I have written this article to help anyone who wants to create a MyEtherWallet, if there is any feedback to the article, it would be very much appreciated. Also I would check out the platform I wrote the article on, I see it as the next steemit and you can earn tokens for writing content and upvoting articles.

https://www.publish0x.com/crypto-101/how-to-create-your-first-crypto-wallet-with-myetherwallet-xdqde?a=GELe3POa69

Also if you have any ideas of what I should write about, leave a comment!

This article can help a lot of newbies to understand and help them in a step by step way of using MEW, just that they need to be careful on the data that need to be save, before they can login or access again the MEW, keep it in a safe place like the JSON FILE, passphrase, seed keys and all others.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to recognize a good time to sell a coin? on: June 05, 2019, 10:16:49 PM
Hi all!
I and many of us here earned a lot coins form bounty campaigns. And I have real dilemma: How to recognize a good time to sell a coin? How to avoid loosing everything by holding coins that will die, but also how to choose coins that are good to hold because they can give us 10x,100x.
Thank you for your comments Wink.

For me, if you earned the tokens from participating any bounties, i think the best time to sell is anytime as long as it has a value, after all, its a profits of your hardwork, holding it for a long period of time may not be suitable if you had work on it from bounty promotions, so i think the best time to sell is anytime.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any Decent Exchanges? on: June 05, 2019, 10:14:22 PM
Well is your choice. But what is the problem with coinbase? If you want you can try Kucoin, but anyway is your choice, i used on past Kucoin and Binance, and now i use coinbase more.

What is the advantage of using coinbase, rather than using binance or the others? just thinking what is the different between the two? but i think the best for me is using binance and the likes.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do your research before investing in ICOs on: June 02, 2019, 12:18:56 PM
ICOs, or Initial Coin Offerings, have become a popular way for cryptocurrencies to raise funds from the public. However, they have also become an easy way to prey on the vulnerable, and the financial regulator recently warned customers about what it calls “these very high risk, speculative investments”. It warns that there’s little consumer protection and high potential for fraud, as well as high volatility. Some ICOs are regulated by the FCA, but this is on a case-by-case basis, depending on how they are structured.

As the FCA says, you should fully research any ICO before handing over your money. “You should only invest in an ICO project if you are an experienced investor, confident in the quality of the ICO project itself,” a spokesman says. Alternatively, consider investing or trading with a regulated provider.

I agree, because investments like this requires a lot of knowledge because this is our own hard money to be invested in such project, hoping that it could gain an income in the long run after the project is going to live in any exchanges, this is also my advise to my friends who are also investing in ICO to take further study before investing.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Benefits in cryptocurrency trading. on: June 02, 2019, 12:13:47 PM
Goodnight all,, In May, which ended yesterday, I got a pretty good profit in trading ETH and BTC. About $ 600 in almost a month. Do you experience the same thing when market conditions continue to improve. Share your experience, to make more enthusiasm in trading. Thank you very much.

Good thing that you experienced those profits this lately, but in my case, i never sell yet because im still at lose, because i bought my coins at a higher price since it was bull run 2yrs ago, so i cant bare the losses that i could incurred in my portfolio, but maybe if its 10% loss, i could sell it and rebuy it when the market gets low
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better ICO, STO Or IEO ? on: June 02, 2019, 12:00:36 PM
What do you think, IEO better than ICO or STO or they are just the same with only difference in system?

Majority would probably choose IEO, because this is exchange sponsored token sale which is the best because the happening of the token sale only takes a small period of time, as compared to ICO, why? because IEO to be done in exchanges has a lot of users and supporters so this means that the token  sale to be held in exchanges might only take a short period of time, in ICO, it depends on the promotions of bounty hunters and social media promotions.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you have to take risks. on: June 01, 2019, 10:48:18 PM
I have to take risks because if i dont take any risks then i will never get a job. Just be sure what you do is a good thing to do in your life.

I  agree, life is all about risk and everything is about risk too, if we dont take risk now, then what is the purpose of having a life?, the main thing is if we take the risk we can be successful like the others, getting a job, is also getting the risk.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what happens if Bitcoin dies on: June 01, 2019, 10:43:41 PM
If bitcoin die, but this will never happen, will be replaced by another crypto but i think bitcoin and his blockchain will survive for long, and will be number 1.

I think if bitcoin die, the rest will die, why i can say this? so far, all the crypto and the likes are tradable pairs of BTC, all their transactions are greatly influenced with BTC, am sure if it would happen we would lost the trust and confidence in the crypto market, making everything put into rest.
