321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IS XRP REALLY A CRYPTOCURRENCY on: October 23, 2018, 02:40:21 PM

Ripple news: Is XRP really a cryptocurrency?

RIPPLE returned to the all-important $0.50 mark following bitcoin’s remarkable rise to $7,500 this week. However, one expert has warned that ripple is “not a cryptocurrency” and could miss out on the regulation that catapults bitcoin and ethereum on to bigger and better things.

Ripple’s remarkable journey from obscurity to $3.40. back down to today’s price of $0.49 could soon see it ring-fenced from other competing cryptocurrencies, with concern over its centralisation potentially excluding XRP from entry into a price boosting regulatory framework.

Last week, rival bitcoin recruited another billionaire believer from the world of mainstream finance after it was revealed that investor Steven Cohen has placed money into a hedge fund focusing on cryptocurrencies and blockchain-based companies.

Cohen Private Ventures has invested in Autonomous Partners, a new hedge fund buying up cryptocurrencies and equity in blockchain-related companies as the world of mainstream finance begins the search for the “next generation” of investments in the digital age.
However, Ripple is one notable absence from the spate of technologies in which Autonomous Partners is interested, raising concern that the XRP tokens will be treated differently when regulations arrive.

If the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the US decides that the tokens are securities they could then be subject to different laws than tokens that are not.

Arianna Simpson, from Autonomous Partners said: “I have a lot of concerns about the level of centralisation there, and I have regulatory concerns if what they have issued is a security.

Anatoly Castella, CEO, Elpis Investments told Express.co.uk that ripple's XRP is set to miss out because it is not a "Digital Fiat", and not a “real” cryptocurrency
Mr Castella warns that XRP falls short of the “purest interpretation of ‘cryptocurrency’.”

He said: “Ripple resembles a fintech platform combining the best elements of fiat money and blockchain cryptocurrency.

“It should be considered 'Digital Fiat', not a cryptocurrency.”

On the potential for missing out on the very regulations that go on to propel rival cryptocurrencies to all new price levels, Mr Castella says that the SEC should consider to creating a regulatory framework for ‘digital fiats' like ripple and a sustainable ecosystem for the “crypto startups”, currently “held in a state of limbo”.

He said: “This will ensure that ‘real’ cryptocurrencies like bitcoin will not be damaged and misunderstood by these start-ups adopting the wrong regulatory approach from the outset.”

Ripple at all sense is a cryptocurrency, but merely on the centralized aspect, and which are controlled, the good side of this coin nowadays is that its been adapated by banks, which is a good news for all holders of this coin, taking into account, this coin started few years ago., and up to this moment, this coin has gained a lot of momentum.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 100 usd enough to start trading ? on: October 22, 2018, 05:42:11 PM
I have 110 $ ...witch crypto is best to start trading with a small amount as 100 $ actually i'm in etherium ... i see a verry small progress .. is there another crypto more profitable and faster with 100 $ ?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Having the initial capital of 100usd is enough to start an online trading of crypto, of course its hard to tell which crypto does performs better, and of which are good for short term trading, maybe you should consider which coin has a large volume of trades in the last 24hours, from there you can visualize which coin is mostly traded.

325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learning is earning! on: October 22, 2018, 01:19:18 PM
While many of us wants to earn from cryptocurrency, we must also take into consideration of going through the process of learning about it of course. Learning is always the first step. As you can see there is "EARNING" in the word "LEARNING". So that's it, we have to learn if we want to earn.

Do you believe me? What do you say?

Learning is an essential part of making money in the virtual world,. Without knowledge, your life maybe miserable in the sense that you gonna lose all the opportunity you can have. Learning is a key to a successful online career,. And it should not be set aside.

327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is ICO king, Do you agree? on: October 21, 2018, 01:44:29 PM
If Bitcoin is king of cryprocurrency, then Ethereum is the king of all ICOs ,do you agree?  Stella, neo and no other blockchain has hosted ICO than other than Ethereum.

I agree, talking about the proliferation of ICO nowadays, i could say that ethereum blockchain is the mother of all ICO's running this time, this is because this platform is easy to handle on the part of the developers. I am looking forward that this opportunity could be a way to produce good tokens in the market.

332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for ICO, is it good or bad idea? on: October 17, 2018, 07:34:21 AM
Hi, everybody. With the development of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, not only good ideas and projects began to develop, but also those who want to get a lot of money on the HYIP,  use new technologies for their personal purposes. Projects began to carry out the KYC procedure for investors, airdrops, bounties to protect their projects from prosecution by the authorities, to improve security, to know their investors in person. But maybe we can use the KYC procedure not only for buyers but also for sellers. If we introduce such a procedure for new projects, it will increase the level of investor confidence, as well as deter many fake projects from collecting our funds, protect our crypto assets from fraud. This procedure can be entered in this forum to host projects or in special platform. The project developer will have to provide his personal and contact details.
Do you think this is a good or bad idea? Express your opinion.

KYC is one of the best alternative in order to filter out fake and spam accounts, of course this will redundancy on the part of the ICO management, but it can assure that the personality and investors are sharing their true identity by complying on the KYC as a part of the requirement. Also, this is also applied in bounty participants, so its gonna be fair.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you find interesting ICO ? on: October 16, 2018, 11:25:10 PM
Where do you find interesting ICO or crypto projects to invest ? Here on bitcointalk announcements or on other websites related to new ICO  announcements !

I mostly spend my time here in bitcointalk searching for the best project to invest, but the problem is the ICO industry is not in favor during this time, the market condition keeps on depreciating its value, I hope one day, it could recover, when this happen, the investors trust and confidence would also be normalized.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You've earned tons of tokens, NOW WHAT? on: October 16, 2018, 01:42:08 PM
The crypto world is growing everyday even with the rise and fall of the crypto market, that hasn't stop the massive growth happening now. Altcoin particularly has evolved that even noobs find it promising to lay hands on some coin.

Yes with a good and lucky trading you can earn some good money from crypto. Also through investing in an ICO or doing some bounty hunting you could find yourself with tons of tokens.

So months after months, you've earned yourself with tons of tokens but currently doesn't have much value or you just don't know what to do with them. You keep getting that hunch that your tokens will blow one day and you will lambo.

The truth is, we never can tell which project will eventually succeed or fail, we can only do research and hope it succeed like following up the project and see if any positive progress is happening. Many tokens dumped shortly after ICO and has been dead since while some are fairly stable. Personally, im a hodler because i believe cryptocurrency is a gamble which we sometime win some or lose some, so i HODL hoping in the long run some will succeed.

So, what do you do with your numerous tokens? Do you convert them to fiat or Hodl the ones you can?

I am holding a lot of tokens comes from my bounties, and as much as possible I should sell this whenever it could be listed in exchanges, but the problem nowadays is that, its getting hard for ico projects to be listed in exchanges, patience is still the key during this time.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters are a job? on: October 14, 2018, 11:38:11 PM
Do you think bounty hunters are a job in your spare time, additional income or is it the main job and the main income of people?

Bounty hunting or promoting projects is not an easy job, it takes time and effort to have it, in my case, as a bounty hunter, ive spent more than 3 hours a day to promote projects, and it paid off, sometimes it is not, because we cannot predict projects whether at the end of the ICO, if its executable or not, and some of them takes time to be valuable, so for me, its not the easy to do bounty, its a test of someones attitude, specially when it corresponds the market condition.
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge for Newbie on: October 14, 2018, 02:01:40 PM
As a newbie, which is the best to do; To invest(earn) or to Learn(for how long)?

Newbies or not, it is required for you to learn even a duration of a week or two to study, it cannot be done overnight, there are lots of things to consider when studying crypto or any investment you want to partake. After that, you apply those knowledge you earned, if crypto is you passion, this forum offers a lot of knowledgeable ideas offered by the members. Learn then invest, is the best thing you can do in your life, so be it.

338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: A Question To All Signature Bounty Hunters! on: October 14, 2018, 01:13:11 AM
I would like to become a signature bounty hunter. How do you find potential deals and how do you make them happen?  Huh

Signature campaign is good, together with the article campaign, but whats the good thing about signature campaign is that, its easy to participate along with your post, now in order to determine whether the project is good or not, first things first, its make a study on the project and see the percentage share of the campaign, whether it is worth for your time or not.,look for the project that is marketable, and a lot of potential investors in it.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why so many bounty campaign are extending? on: October 13, 2018, 04:28:43 AM
Due to lot of scammed ICO more investors lost their interest investing in ICO. Success rate of ICO decreased that is why bounty campaign period nowadays are extending. Do you agree?

For some reason, bounty could be extended this is because of the performance of the whole crypto market, this affects of the behavior of the possible investor to buy at the ICO or not. Its the project discretionary terms if they would agree to entend the ICO or not, but recently due to unfavorable market condition and the continuance of the decreasing value, ICO has been extended due to this reason. If the ICO reached their required capitalization, then there is no reason to extend the ICO.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH to hold now or not? on: October 12, 2018, 11:42:16 PM
Although the whole market is red, I'm very much afraid of holding ETH now. In my opinion, ETH was fluctuated to its ATH when people were more interested investing in ICO. Nowadays ICO is almost dead. That is why it has less demand. I don't think it will get another ATH soon.
What's your thoughts on it? Should I hold now?

For me, id rather HOLD my eth than to sell it. If you acquire or bought your ETH at the high price, then its your prerogative to sell it, at the lower value, but practically speaking it is not recommended to sell, because you are at loss at the moment, if you think you really dont need a cash this time, better to hold for some time, until the market recovers, its takes patience to earn profits. Patience is the key as others told me.
