81  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Javascript: New address per transaction, 1000's of addresses. on: July 09, 2014, 09:48:30 AM
If you know that you can't receive BTC more than once, then you could run a daily script to check with the API the addresses of that day and store them on a separate database/file that does not get checked automaticallu anymore. Other than that, the build up of addresses seems too much to handle, but keep in mind that 1000 addresses is still under the daily limit of blockchain.info. (I can't quite remember the limit, though)

What Do Philosophers Do and what type of jobs do Philosopher get when they graduate ?

This is what philosophers do from programmer's perspective  Grin
That actually messed with my mind for a second.

I saw that a couple of days ago when he uploaded it. It just shows that people ear what they want to hear Wink

Chrome. It simply feels better and more responsive than others. Plus, separate processes.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ask Amazon for Bitcoin Payments on: July 08, 2014, 11:27:14 PM
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I've been buying Amazon gift cards and other items at Amazon (tracfone and airtime, etc.) with bitcoin at a 15-25% discount (!) thanks to Purse.io - well, around 13-23% discount once I replenish my BTC with fiat, but it's still a great deal.

i spend quite a bit on amazon with bitcoins, so this interests me. but ive always bee skeptical of discount marketplaces like this. are there buyer protections for those selling bitcoin/buying amazon purchases?
I have the same concerns. I've been using Gyft for my Amazon purchases, but I may switch to something like this if it looks promising.
Purse is similar to paypal in that it is p2p buying. You buy something via purse.io for bitcoin, the seller pays for the product in fiat and receives bitcoin.
I have been interested in this as well. I would like to see some feedback on both Gyft and Purse.io, if you guys have any.
86  Other / Meta / Re: Racism and Violence Completely Ignored by Moderator on General Discussion Board on: July 08, 2014, 11:20:21 PM
Not all bitcoiners come here. If that's going to be your attitude you can go to Reddit, where there's more moderation than these forums. I personally don't find it hard to ignore people here. This also shouldn't be the first place people visit when they hear of Bitcoin.

I can't wait until somebody important sees this and all three of you are permanently banned.

Bad Bear has already responded to your post and there aren't a lot of people more important than him.

Satoshi - perhaps but he's been MIA for a few days...

Theymos - probaly has less fucks to give about this than Bad Bear

Phineaus Gage - If you can find him I'm sure he might have an opinion.

Ok?...
You either know something we don't or there's a typo.

This is quite an interesting development, but we'll have to wait and see how it goes.

I prefer iPhones over Android devices, but unlike Apple fanboys, I'm really mad at how they take so long to adopt features that are already on Android. I am still using iPhones just because I don't like the overall feel of Android's UI (it feels kind of sluggish to me) and many customization features don't feel complete.

But that's all I'm going to say since anything else would be way off-topic at this point. Let's not start a flame war.
88  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will rise and everything else will die? on: July 08, 2014, 11:05:06 PM
Don't know about LTC specifically, but it is pretty common sense how most alts are pump & dump at this point. Have you actually seen any promising features of recent alts? Of course, some of them are probably staying alongside Bitcoin. I don't think LTC itself will be much of a problem.
89  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lets settle this, AMD or intel on: July 08, 2014, 11:00:43 PM
I use Intel for the higher performance and stability, but many of you will probably disagree with me.

How could they restore the other person's address, though? I thought they didn't have access to private keys...
91  Economy / Services / Re: Minersource.net - Now Paying for your signatures! on: July 07, 2014, 06:29:57 AM
Hello there. I have been in vacations for the past couple of weeks and have barely been able to post. Is it possible to move my payout date back a week or so to be able to catch up?
92  Economy / Services / Re: Whoring out signature... 2500 posts in a month... name price ?? on: June 24, 2014, 06:59:10 AM
I don't see how "something comical" can be constructive.

99  Other / Meta / Re: Moderator Pls Banned my ID on: June 11, 2014, 08:16:19 PM
You can leave whenever you want. If you want to make a complaint against those members, make a valid argument. If you don't want your account, sell it for some btc. If you want your account banned, start spamming. Starting a "please ban me" topic will not change anything.
Just because it's allowed doesn't mean it should be encouraged.

Didn't you already post this somewhere else? I could swear I saw a post exactly like this one around. The only difference is that that one actually had quite a few replies. Anyway, all you can do at this point is contact him. No staff member will remove the feedback for you.
