I'm not quite sure why an adult and self-sufficient person would hide his gambling hobbies. Don't you think it's silly enough to change your life because of other people's views on your hobbies? Personally, I think that you should live your life the way you want it, not adjust to someone. Unless it violates someone's freedoms and rights. I don't think that gambling does any of the above, so I don't think it's necessary to hide my hobby from my relatives. Whatever they think of me. |

Я время от времени покупаю некоторые активы, в том числе и ATOM. Но как не куплю что-то получаю второе дно в подарок. В принципе это не страшно, когда готов держать активы более года, но немного давит на психику. Вот сегодня очередная просадка. С одной стороны хочется докупить некоторые активы по вкусным ценам, но с другой - количество стейблкоинов в кошельке постепенно уменьшается, что противоречит моему риск-менеджменту. Остается сидеть на заборе, ждать либо еще большей просадки, либо разворота. |

They have more options and opportunities to recover faster than the poor people from any lost. So, whether poor or rich is basically an individual decision, but while a poor man will greatly suffer from the lost, the rich might not necessarily feel the same way. No matter how rich a person is, he or she is just as worried as a poor gambler when he or she loses money that he or she was not prepared to lose. Losing in gambling does not spare anyone, but only you decide how much money you are willing to lose without negatively affecting your financial condition. We have heard more than one story of poor gamblers winning huge sums of money and more than one story of rich gamblers losing entire fortunes. So it all depends on ourselves and our risk management. |

А чем L2 не устраивает? Изначально так и планировалось, а протоколы как layer zero будут быстро перемещать активы между L2. В матике сейчас комиссии 1-2 цента, я даже с трона ушел.
Как я понимаю в скором времени выходит токен у проекта ZKSynс, за который топил Виталик Бутерин. Судя по всему затем они запустят маркетинговую кампанию, новые активности в экосистеме. А ведь говорят что ZKSynс является более технологичным L2-решением по сравнению с Arbitrum и Optimism. Не совсем понятно что будет с последними, ведь денег ни собрали немало. Скорее всего они будут постепенно покрываться пылью. Перегонять средства из одного L2-решения в другое и основную сеть ETH через мосты тоже удовольствие не из дешевых. Не думаю что Polkadot целесообразно развивать в том же ключе. |

I don't know why you're hiding from your wife that you like to gamble. Personally, I think that this kind of secrets negatively affect the trust of spouses. Just imagine what can happen when your wife finds out about your secrets, and you find out about her secrets. I don't think it would do any good. I told my wife about gambling before I married her, so it makes no sense for me to hide from her when I want to gamble. She understands my hobbies perfectly well and tries to stay out of it. |

My own opinion, which ever way you are using is not a problem, the only thing that matters is for you to understand what you are doing, set your strategy very well and do what ever you think is good for you, yes gambling every day is not a bad idea, it really draw you more closer to winning and you get more strategy to increase your chance of having more understanding in the gambling.
Absolutely agree with you. Strategy plays an important role in gambling, but unfortunately I like many other gamblers and could not find a strategy that would bring any profit. Therefore, for me personally, the possibility of daily gambling is completely excluded, because it is more likely to lead to greater losses compared to my schedule of gambling sessions. |

I try not to tell my relatives or friends about my gambling winnings/losses, as I don't think it makes any sense. I can win $200 today and lose that money during the next gambling session.
If we talk about this habit of other gamblers, I'm sure that most of them tell only about wins, missing a rather important fact - losses. And this can affect the misconception of the probability of winning in gambling.

У меня кошелек ТОН и пару сотен на нем для экспериментов. Хранить там больше я не готов. По моему все обильные кошельки, которые имеют связь с номером телефона, полный бред.
Для чего то серьезного это использовать я не готов.
Если не готовы к KYC и/или жалко потерять эти средства, то включите Ton Space в настройках Wallet и перекиньте на него средства. В случае проблем хоть сможете забрать (скормив сид в другой кошелек) свои средства. Потерять всегда жалко, но поигравшить с ботами, я может попаду в какой нибудь снепшот. А относится к этой экосистеме серьезно без проверенных аппаратных решений для безопасного хранения я не готов. На мой взгляд с таким отношением к пользователям wallet со временем потеряет их доверие. Интересно, на какие РФ документы можно пройти KYC без проблем? I often run out of funds due to gambling that is too blind in terms of placing $$ on every bet I make and ends up losing. I do multi-bets and single-bets, every time I win, sometimes I forget myself and use all my $$ on the next bet. This sometimes gives me big wins, but if I'm unlucky I can lose all my funds and this has happened many times.
I started to realize and change my habits. Now I use $$ from the profits from the previous bet to place the next bet and save my initial capital.

If you are planning on saving up some money any time you win a game, then you need to start practicing a habit of send out some portion of your wining into a different account and only keep the one that you can willingly spend on your next bet. After winning a bet, you can keep 40% of the money that was won and only spend 60%. I have the habit of not spending the money I win right at that moment in that casino. If I am gambling with $3 and I win $50, I will not spend the money that day. This is a good habit that allows you to control your spending. I always try to withdraw funds to my personal account immediately after winning and not to gamble for a while. On the one hand it really helps not to make mistakes because of emotional outburst during winning, but on the other hand after some time I again put these funds into the casino account and gamble. Whether this strategy gives gambling any serious financial results I can not say for sure because it all depends on luck. But I am very happy when it turns out not only to win, but also to withdraw funds. |

I think that the gambler struggles not with gambling, but with his desires, which sometimes become too obsessive, and sometimes irrational. madnessteat, а каким образом можно было идентифицировать BONK как перспективную монету до пампа? Пока ничего с монетой не произошло, не хочется рисковать, а когда уже произошло, то стало поздно. Как-то обсуждался уже вопрос торговой стратегии на мем-койнах, в итоге ничего путного вывести не удалось. По чуйке или по инсайдам разве что. Какой рост можно поймать, если заходишь в мем-койн сразу после анонса, но чтобы прямо иксы - тут должно реально повезти. Тогда уж не меньшие шансы поймать иксы в не мем-койнах. Буквально недавно на том же TON можно было 3 верных икса собрать, зайдя по 2$ с центами и реализовав в диапазоне 6-7$.
Никаким, как и с другими мемкоинами, которые достигли успеха, ведь как только запускается маркетинг мемкоин улетает. На самом деле TON достаточно спорная инвестиция из-за возможного наезда регуляторов на Павла Дурова. Не уж то кто-то думает, что если он вернул деньги инвесторам после ICO во избежание проблем с регуляторами, то не мог продать те же токены через OTC не привлекая лишнего внимания. Лично мне кажется что рано или поздно этот вопрос поднимется, поэтому заходить в TON даже по $2 не хочется. |

If it is a habit already then you’ll have to battle with yourself to do what is right, and sometimes you may not really do the proper thing. But what matters is that you constantly keep trying to follow the disciplined path. If you set a limit, do whatever it will cost to follow that goal. At first it’ll be difficult but over time, it gets easier and you’ll be used to doing what you say you will do.
I thought we were talking in this thread about helping newbies not become gambling addicts. Based on this I conclude that in order to fully learn to control themselves during gambling novice must spend a lot of time and effort. На самом деле было много мемкоинов, в которые мог зайти каждый, только большинство из нас хоть и мечтают повторить сумасшедшее обогащение на мемкоинах, в момент когда нужно покупать такие токены, не берут на себя такие риски. Взять тот же BONK, токен лежал никому не нужный до того момента пока его не начали пампить. Только потом потянулись покупатели. |
