I think it's a combination of the idea, team, features, existing platform, and marketing.
When all of those features align, then ico's doo very well. An token I've found to be doing really well with an extra edge is cybermiles. They seem to have the global reach most companies don't have. Interested to see what's ahead for them.

At the moment I have my eyes on only 2 (aside from HODLing BTC and ETh) 1. Cybermiles. Decentralized marketplace token with a strong team and crazy partnerships that would kickstart them with 12 million users - https://cm.5miles.com/2. The Bee Token. Aiming to overtake Airbnb with blockchain and zero commissions. The team itself has ex-engineers from Uber, Google, and Facebook. https://www.thebeetoken.com/

I think anything is legally enforceable in a contract setting. Now with crypto all it takes is for the government to legalize and then you can start suing people lol

NEO and definitely cybermiles or (CMT). NEO already has a . lot of hype going round. The one you have to look into would be cybermiles. Great idea, market fit, and strong team. They partnered with 5miles to implement their blockchain and then commercialize it for other businesses. Their ecosystem contains sellers, buyers, and my favorite, arbiters. Objective people that get paid to solve disputes (like sort of what paypal does but the community is the mediator). There's so much more, but you can only really grasp the whole picture in their whitepaper. https://cm.5miles.com/file/project/Project%20white%20paper_en-US.pdf

1. Civic: for obvious reasons lol 2. Cybermiles: partnered with the app 5miles with 12 million users. Decentralized blockchain for marketplaces and ecommerce. Crazy idea (read more here-https://medium.com/cybermiles/what-is-cybermiles-a457f08fa6a7) 3. It already ended, but it was Unikoingold: millions of users and backed by big names like Mark Cuban

Don't go with elecroneum. That's a short term pump and dump. Like everyone has said, go with big one's with reputation and research.
To get you started, look into cybermiles. They partnered with 5miles the app to implement a decentralized blockchain on their app and then they'll commercialize it.

Mm. not quite sure about WINGS. I would swap that out with cybermiles (CMT).

I am waiting for Unikoin, one of Mark Cuban's portfolio company. He will also participate in their ICO this September: https://www. cnbc. com/2017/06/29/mark-cuban-who-just-called-bitcoin-a-bubble-says-he-plans-to-invest-in-another-digital-coin.html Excited for this one especially. they just expanded into europe, meaning their platform is going to be larger.

Saw that article on coindesk. pretty impressed and threw around 50eth in. Gonna see where this goes but i'm pretty sure it'll succeed. It's in their best interested to succeed

In the US, you can only get taxed when you cash out. But always do small amounts. Less than $5000.

So, I'm interested. I put a couple of ETH in, but what I'm thinking is: what's the long term plan? I know they're working on getting fiat betting in the US, but will they actually become the universal token in esports?

the altcoins that i buy and hold are the coins that have fundamental and have a promising future. a coins that have plenty functions and project. the altcoins im holding now is ripple, nxt, digibyte and stratis. i believe on their projects or roadmap and i know that they can stay in the long run in cryptocurrency.
I agree with holding coins that have fundamental and promising future. Found the ICO UnikoinGold a few days ago. They have Mark Cuban as a backer and their platform has been up for years. Very interesting idea: http://www.esportsinsider.com/2017/10/unikoingold-becomes-largest-ever-gaming-esports-token/
