81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think Bitcoin is great as an asset and not as a Currency. on: July 04, 2021, 07:27:15 PM
Bitcoin is really a great asset for investment purposes. But it is still not an ideal currency for all kinds of payments. Because there are still some scalability issues which hinder it from being used widely.
for me, Bitcoin is a great asset and currency...

Many people think that only those that have stable prices deserve to be called currencies. I don't think so, Bitcoin is still a currency as satoshi originally created it. but because more and more are bought, Bitcoin becomes an investment asset too.
Bitcoin is an asset also a currency whether it's volatile or not. A lots of questions had been asked if eventually Bitcoin becomes an official currency,  how would people cope with it volatility and price which is high in value. All these questions would be resolved if government decides to use it as a currency by controlling the price and its volatility just like when compared to the currency market.

Although the altimate aim of Satoshi is inform of a currency but due to it volatility and price, it would be hard if it's accepted generally as a currency. Because of it limited circulation, there is no need being a current acceptible by all but can still be used for transactions and payment services. Bitcoin is still a means investment till today.

83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL...until when? on: July 03, 2021, 01:20:29 PM
Those who advocate hodling, when do you cash out?

I mean, dying hodling is not the plan, is it? Eventually, you'd need to enjoy the fruits of your patience, right? When is that, when someone says "hodl"? Is it a savings plan? A retirement fund? What does it mean to hodl?
When you are holding, you need to put all strategies in order to know the best time to sell, not just holding consecutively, blindly without knowing what is happening in the market. As an investor, news is very important which is one of the factors that influence the price of a coin.

You can keep holding a coin seeing it falling but still not bordered because you know your plans, knowing when to take your profits from the market without being dumped. Many newbie investors always ask this question of when to sell their coins, maybe because they've not really gained the insight of how price react with time. My advice is, once you've make some gains in a coin, sell if price keep dropping cause the market will always do what it wants.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The point of Dogecoin. on: July 03, 2021, 12:45:11 PM
Of course
if Elon daily posts good tw about it, I think it's the easiest field to drive growth from doge coin.
Maybe we shouldn't expect too much from it, i think the coin meme trend has lost its appeal.

Despite the large number of published tweets by Elon Musk about Doge, they do not have the same power as they had before. An increase in the price by 10-15 percent can not be compared with the spring pumps, when the price of the coin increased by 200-300% in one day.
He does not have the real power to move the market in a huge way, only just few percents increase which is not substantial enough to change the market outlook entirely. I believe his power to influence the market is becoming reduced and most tweet hunters are still highly interested in his tweets maybe a sure means for them to make few dollars from the small move which can be sometimes profitable if one is smarter enough.

I don't really think those small moves in the price of Doge can give a good profit to traders who are not in the market to gamble. Alot of gambling traders might still find his tweets interesting since they're just their to trade the spikes or maybe just scalp the market.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why women are the minority in crypto land? on: July 03, 2021, 11:30:55 AM
We need more women and men in cryptocurrency.  It is seem men are drawn to cryptocurrency more than women,  why this is so is still not understood.  Men take risk more than women and this might be one of the reasons why cryptocurrency is appealing to men.
Women do not have such high quest to make money since men are always the head in the family and their obligations are to tend more for the family when compared to women. Men are highly spirited ready to take risks no matter the circumstances that is involved.

This is how they are just created and meant to be. When you look at most professions except, secretary,  nursing and some other women related professions where women are highly populated are just few, majority of professions are highly populated by men even where compared to trading, investing and cryptocurrency.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do whales manipulate the market? on: July 03, 2021, 07:15:09 AM
Take the example of Elon with his another tweet.
https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1410529698497630212
Look, with such following, likes and replies on that tweet. There's no doubt that he can manipulate the market for whichever cryptocurrency that he might chose to shill. But most of the time, he's with Dogecoin and now it's rare that he tweets something beautiful about bitcoin.
Nevertheless, they can manipulate it at any way that they can do. Like investing with billions of their fund, using social media platforms, putting it on the news and etc.
Manipulation is left for the big boys who own larger funds of the cryptocurrency market. It is easier to manipulate the market especially crypto if you have big share in the market just like Elon Musk, controlling the market would be very easy pumping coin into the market making it weak to fall coupled to social media influence which can trigger investors to buy more of a particular coin increasing it market cap and surging of the coin price.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 02, 2021, 06:50:15 AM
Today begins the Quarter Finals:

Belgium vs Italy
Belgium will definitely try to play a counterattack. But Italy are good at defending and attacking, I think they will come out winners.
E.Hazard and Kelvin is out of this one through injury, and with the way Beguim performed against Portugal when the duo were taken off I don't think they would stand a chance a against Italy who are 31 games unbeaten, conceding 1 goal in their last 5 games, the Italians play a very compact game, they are good at both attack and defense.

89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terms and condition a must read before signing up any online gambling site on: June 28, 2021, 06:36:47 PM
The rate at which people are involving in gambling this days is alerming without them having thorough understanding in what they are into just because of the haste of making money. Alots of newbies had lost their funds just because they were not ready to read or not informed about the terms and conditions of a game or gamble before venturing into it.

It is very important for one to understand the level of risks that should be taken before involving in a gamble by not just focusing on the money that could be made. Newbies makes these mistakes  a lot which must be avoid in order to prevent lose of funds.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will dogecoin drop to $0.2 again? on: June 28, 2021, 06:14:23 PM
Dogecoin is dropping. Will dogecoin drop to $0.2 again?
Don't you think Elon Musk could be the right person to answer this question since he was the pioneer of this dogecoin of a thing, indirectly enticing investors to invest in it. Like we all know that early investment is very important so that good profits can be made but in a case where late investment is made just like when people were investing in doge when they are supposed to sell.

The market is not stable now so all other coins is affected by  the Bearish movement of Bitcoin. The problem of when digecoin will rise is left to the market to decide rather than guessing ignorantly about what might not happen.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: another bullrun before 2021 ends on: June 28, 2021, 06:04:07 PM
I greatly believe that you should always do your own research. Thinking positive is a good thing, but it really feels like the chart is enticing a bull trap scenario. If we can't maintain up to 42k, the price will surely go down as expected. You can't predict the behavior of the market; the best thing to do in times like this is to minimize your risk management.
I don't think the op is very good and lucky at predicting the market price. I still can't believe that he was able to look through the market and come out with this kind of prediction which is very funny and unscrupulous. Predicting the price of Bitcoin to move from $80k to $120k before 2021 is very crazy when looking at the current price of Bitcoin. The market is not as easy to predict with the way price is ranging without a proper direction.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are the bulls back? on: June 28, 2021, 05:52:30 PM
Is the bull market back sound like rhetorical with not definite answer. No one knows what the about is about to display or confirm but we'll are still affirmative of the market going bullish for the benefit of those who still have some Bitcoin to sell to market before going Bearish. This is why investors are always faced with the problem of the market going Bearish especially when their funds are retracing to loses.
The bullish trend is not yet back like we all know that anything that goes up must come down just like hiw price movement fluctuate.
93  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: best indicator hunt ? on: June 28, 2021, 05:37:40 PM
hello trading players

need some help regarding indicators .  (uncommon indicators other then common indicators - rsi, mcad etc )

indicator that measure the bid/ask ratio and market order ratio .
indicator that help you to define the trend direction
indicator that help you to define the major /big players long and short ratio  (smart money )
and hunting of stupid money

There is nothing like best indicator Mr op since indicators are met for different purposes and  uses. Your ability to maximize the efficiency of an indicator or indicators make you a good indicator analyst. Trading with indicators successfully requires a lot of back testing to know which one react well to market price without frequent false signals.

Like we all know that indicators lag bringing out false signals which is not best to use them without other confirmations. Using too much indicators can be confusing atimes when is used poorly without good knowledge. This is why they must be used with other technical analysis for confirmation.
94  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this a good plan for learning tradning ? on: June 28, 2021, 05:18:02 PM
i watched a couple of courses and read a couple of books, and I liked trading as a career  and I want to solid my information and skills
I saw this article about which books you need for your CMT test, which I'm thinking of taking them as a study plan for my trading career
here are the books and the article
https://www.tradingsetupsreview.com/book-list-chartered-market-technicians-cmt/
, is it a good plan?

As a new trader or maybe a newbie, trading is not just reading books online with the hope that it will stick to your head when you don't have a guidian or a mentor that will guide you through the journey of being a successful trader. A lot of beginner's had started like this and ended up dropping out of trading just because of frustration of losing money or maybe not having adequate information on some aspects of trading.

Sometimes the problem of not knowing what should come first might be frustrating atimes. Learning how to trade is versatile with so many information to learnt, so if you choose to read books alone without grinding your knowledge on the most important things, then you might just be running around the bush without being a good trader
95  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Forex Trading is Profitable? on: June 28, 2021, 05:06:07 PM
Trading the Forex market is just like trading crypto but with slight difference in the market constituent and interface. The Forex market is the most volatile market in the world having different sessions and time zones. The market is traded from Monday to Friday based on a country time zone. Trading Forex is profitable but it requires a lot of knowledge and market chatting to be able to do well.

There are a lot of factors which contribute to the volatility of a currency pair which one need to know, not just trading it blindly. One must take risks in order to be able to make profit just like other financial markets. The need to understand the fundamental and technical analysis is important in Forex market not just trading it based on a single ideology.
96  Economy / Economics / Re: what makes us good investors. on: June 28, 2021, 04:52:46 PM
In my opinion, being a good investor is always cold and insensitive to the market. always believe in their ability to speculate without being affected by any outside influence and always give the desired target to take profit at the right time, it is important not to sell at a loss.
Like we'll know that emotion is the first obstacle to successful trading. A lot of traders have battled these problem for long as a result of fear of losing. Everyone wants to be winner but the path of winning encompasses the bolder to face to he worse scene that could happen as either a trader or an investor.

Fear of taking risks has hindered a lot of investors to pull back their funds limiting the rate at which they can succeed. Everything we want to do that may make us bouyant could need risks which is part of the game. A lot of successful investors had taken risks without numbers in businesses, increasing their exposure in so many fields. Risks are necessary as an investor.
97  Economy / Economics / Re: Trump regrets not banning twitter as he hails Nigerian government for doing so on: June 28, 2021, 04:32:19 PM
Mr Trump is here again with his comments on country he had bullied many things without numbers, placing them on visa ban with his trivial reasons of protecting the country interest. Now he is here again congratulating the President of Nigeria for banning Twitter, now regretting of doing the same when he knows that he wouldn't be able to achieve such.

I believe not all country can tolerate democracy easily cause I see no reason why Twitter would have to ban the tweet of the leader of a country claiming that it's contrary to their rules of term. Twitter has bitten the tail of a lion and now, they are facing the consequences. We can not compare Africa with European countries that are more civilized with laws guiding and each and every steps of a lead without compromising the power that is given to them. Like we'll know that Africa will always be Africa.
98  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this a gang up against cryptocurrency? Or ways to regulation? on: June 28, 2021, 03:56:51 PM
Stopping activities of cryptocurrency users in a country can have minimal effect on the entire market activities especially if the participants have higher contributions to the entire market. This is a way to limit the number of persons that into the crypto market. Like we all know that the government are always looking for ways to control the crypto market in order to suite their economy since a lot of people have stated dumping Fiats for digital currencies which has good privacy coverage.

99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The right time is now! on: June 27, 2021, 09:38:27 PM
We'll know that investing requires a lot of risks that is attached to it. No one knows when the best time is to buy or sell, with everyone's aim of buying at bottom and selling at the top. In other to avoid the miatake of buying too later or too early, one need to prepare to lose if in case things go wrong with lower risks.

Everyone wants to make money in the market just the market is prepared to work with the way it's programed. There are numerous coins in which to select from but sometimes we need to calculate our capital, risks that may be involved in an investment before entering into it.
100  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is point of Tehnical analysis? on: June 27, 2021, 09:14:05 PM
Sideways trends have proved that technical analysis doesn't always mean anything.

About a month ago we hit 30k, and TA is constantly predicting a breakout up or down, usually up, but instead the market crabs sideways, something only a few people predicted, and most of them didn't use technical analysis to figure it out.

TA is such a pointless endeavor in a market that is so controlled and volatile by the current BTC price action, especially if it is dependent upon the behavior of whales.

What do you think about it?
You don't need to castigate technical analysis just because you could not use your indicator properly. Maybe it's showing you an opposite signal which is contrary to the trend of the market. Remember we don't use indicators in isolation which is purely true. We use indicators as confirmation to strategy that is been used, not complaining about a single indicator in isolation when we all know that indicators lag alot.
