82  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL starts taking pre-orders for 1TH Imperial Monarch Miners on: April 03, 2014, 04:15:23 AM
I have a chip that hashes twice as fast as BFL's best chip, costs half as much, and ships two weeks earlier than their stuff.
Send me your BTC and I will send you the chip.
The company is named AFL2.0 or something that markets well.

Almost April, and nobody has a Monarch?
I wonder if Luke will get paid to claim he had one shipped to him.
84  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [BFL] List of Lies on: March 25, 2014, 03:26:08 PM

@k9, as with PG, there were NO conditions placed on the miner I was given during the tour he and I did of their facilities.  It was a gesture of goodwill, similar to the spoondoilies rig that was sent to dogie and all the other free miners given to Sr members of this forum, however, unlike the people on here who receive a free unit, I was not asked to post anything about it.  I've been running that 24gh miner for 6 months now on the 'dangerous' power supply that came with it and it's still chugging along.  My Jalapeno has been runing for almost 4 months now, again on a 'dangerous' power supply that came with it.  I must have someone up there looking out for me considering how much Bickski claims they are death traps waiting to explode.

Oh, also, I only threw out the troll bit cause you were so quick to throw out the shill bit...  Basically that was troll-bait and you ate it up, hook, line and sinker.  Thanks for Playing!!!

Except you are actually a shill, according to the definition supplied. I am sure all the gifts BFL has given you are just like donations given to Congresscritters. No official quid pro quo, but BFL sure would appreciate it if you could white knight them on the forums. I am sure the PR department at BFL was very kind to you and you are just returning that kindness by tirelessly championing them on these forums. After all, if you had gotten an early release Monarch, that would be a very lucrative "gift" and would make all this effort on your part pay off.

The only evidence you have presented for me being a troll is that I bring up facts that are inconvenient to your task of BFL white knight.

As for the power supply, just because BFL gave you one that works does not mean they gave everyone a power supply that works. Apply Occam's razor:
a) Your BFL power supply does not contain the manufacturing flaw that others of it's type do.
b) BFL gave you a high quality power supply, but some others received lower quality power supplies.
c) Bicknellski has organized a group of people from around the world to falsely represent their experience with BFL on various internet forums.

How sad, you still don't understand how it works, it's WATTS * TIME = JOULES.  Joules as a reference in itself is meaningless without the time factor.

You make correcting you so much fun, I just can't resist. The "fime factor" is missing because it cancels itself out. The two terms use miners love to reference are "watts" and "gigahashes per second". Look what happens when you combine them.

.68 W / (GH/s)

multiple both numerator and denominator by s

.68 Ws / (GHs/s)

simplify (Ws) and (s/s)

.68 J / GH

Tada!
Congrats, you did pick up on what I missed.  Unlike the trolls on here, I am man enough to admit when I made a mistake.

Typical BFL shill, calls us trolls for being able to do basic physics. Straight out of the Zerlan playbook.

Typical troll, calling anyone with intelligence who makes a mistake a shill Roll Eyes.  Straight out of the troll handbook.

See? When someone corrects you, you reach for the "troll" label.
You have consistently supported BFL in the face of massive evidence to the contrary.
You make statements that defy belief in your many attempts on these forums to legitimize BFL.
You were part of the junket trip to BFL where bitcoin and devices were handed out in return for unnamed services rendered.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shill
A shill, also called a plant or a stooge, is a person who publicly helps a person or organization without disclosing that they have a close relationship with the person or organization.

You fit the bill for a shill.

In addition, if you want to be technical (and I know you guys love being technical), Bitmain initially promised 0.68 J/GH on chip, which is meaningless.  Joules is an energy measurement and is usually referenced over time, and there's no time measuement included.  ANY manufacturer out there could make the same claim and it would not be a lie.  While it might take 1 manufacturer .5 sec to reach .68J/GH, it might take another manufacturer 3 seconds.  But that's only misleading, so you'd probably discount it being an untruth.

That is simply not how it works.

1 Joule = 1 Watt/second

You should keep facts away from bcp19. The two tend to react violently when mixed together.   Grin
89  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Monarch update on: March 07, 2014, 06:25:17 PM
FYI, everyone who ordered from BFL and has not yet received their equipment is eligible for a full refund. If they don't give it to you, take them to small claims court and get a judgement against them. Then get that judgment enforced in Kansas. You don't need a lawyer, shouldn't cost more than $50.

Supply and demand, it's pretty simple actually.  Until those two conditions equal out a little more you really only have a couple of choices when it comes to mining.  You can ride the bull and hope like hell you don't get hurt or sit in the stands and watch the excitement.

Dumb people will always fall for the "too good to be true" scam if it is sold well. The left side of the IQ curve will be there no matter how much the supply and demand even out.
92  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Monarch update on: March 05, 2014, 04:50:49 PM
From the original post in the topic quoting Josh:

Current chip production has an expected delivery date in early/first half of December. We expect to have chips at that time and hope to have our first units shipped out the door by the end of December. We did not reach our goal of November delivery.

Today we find out the chips won't be ready for another 5 weeks.
BFL ran the exact same scam as last year, and may have made even more off it this time around.
Meanwhile difficulty is at 3,815,723,799 and growing.
93  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} WHAT! :( Butterfly Lads won't deliver the Monarch Till March or April:( on: March 05, 2014, 04:46:27 PM
So, BFL is going to be even later than they were with their first chip. Is it "5 more weeks" TM?

The problem was positively identified and the fix is already in progress; however it will take approximately 5 weeks before we get packaged chips in hand...
94  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL list of orders /status - Monarch 600 / Monarch 300 + aktual Informations on: February 20, 2014, 05:13:00 AM
18th of February come and gone. No miners yet.

Sad day indeed. I made more on the FRC that I coverted than BCP19 did on his Monarch.
You are still sad Bick... You're crowing over having purchased $160 worth of FRC when the bet was for $2800 worth of BTC.  You welched on it, so your crowing is meaningless.  Why didn't you buy BTC anyway?  You have a vision that you'd lose $1200-1400 in value in the upcoming months and decided to chicken out?  It's also sad that you're crowing over having lost more than 80% of the value of the coin it had when you bragged about it being worth $.23 each.  How's that $.034 doing for you?  $7360 would have been yours if you were only smart enough to have sold back in Dec, now it's only worth ~$1100.  You took a $6k bath Bickski, I'm only out 2.03BTC or ~$1250.  Looks to me like you lost more than I did.

People who pre-ordered a monarch back in Sept of 2013 paid about 20 BTC for it. A monarch will probably never mine that much BTC even if it could do 600 GH/s and was delivered tomorrow. More likely, BFL product will do less than advertised and will be delivered sometimes between April and Oct (just like in last year's nooblet roast).

Those who pre-ordered in December might have only paid 3-4 BTC for one. They might be able to mine that much back with it (if it ever arrives), which would be amazing.
95  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} Who here already pre-ordered the Monarch 28 nm Bitcoin mining card ??? on: February 18, 2014, 06:50:42 PM
“By the time you get a product flowing smoothly, it’s already at the end of its life,” explained Josh Zerlan, product development VP at Butterfly Labs.

That is actually true. By the time BFL develops and ships a product, it is way past it's end of life.

latest update from your boy Josh:

but he forgot he had already given the same update months ago:

Um, didn't you post that they arrived at the testing facility on 27th January under Monarch Update thread? Are you saying that no testing has taken place yet?

They are testing their new Google AdWords campaign to ensnare more unsuspecting nooblets.

There are no problems with the chip so far. There has been nothing to update, same status as before. As soon as the status changes I will update.

So another 2 weeks and no progress? BFL.

99  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Time to sue ButterflyLabs - Big Single-SC owner let's league for class action on: February 10, 2014, 04:48:27 AM
Hey bcp, that's all well and good, but the fact of the matter is that a US company, paid in US dollars, has no legal right to deny a refund before a delivery has taken place. If you ask for your money back, you're supposed to get it. They don't give it to you, you can sue them. How hard is this to understand?

If one was ordering goods from a shack somewhere in a shady part of Asia and paid in BTC I'd agree with the notion "win some, lose some" but the whole point of ordering from a US company and their huge price premium over other companies is some peace of mind that, if necessary, they can be held to account.

I've already been down this road and none of you like the answers I give you.  There was a chance at getting a refund back in May 2013, ...
<nonsense redacted>

BFL cannot ever deny a refund for product that has not shipped. However, BFL has systematically denied refunds (even during the time frame mentioned).  Most people who got refunds did so by badgering Paypal or their credit card companies.

BCP19 has too much ego to admit that he has been white knighting a company who ripped him off (along with several hundred other consumers).

All the plaintiff need do is demonstrate how much BTC a device in the first batch of Avalon mined to demonstrate potential earnings lost. BFL was to deliver in 3 batches, the first batch would have mined a mint had it been delivered on time (or anywhere near it).
100  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Time to sue ButterflyLabs - Big Single-SC owner let's league for class action on: February 09, 2014, 01:43:10 AM
I gambled and lost, I knew the risks, as I'm sure Mr. Meissner did as well, and I backed the wrong horse.

No. You did not "know" the risks. BFL misinformed you. Had BFL been honest and forthright with their issues instead of regurgitating "two more weeks", then you would have known the risks. Mr Meissner has a case, it is up to a judge (and possibly jury) to decide what sort of damages are in order.

Lastly, there's the other trolls that will jump in and accurately point out that I could have just bought BTC and held onto it in a cold wallet and been better off now<shrug> no pain, no gain.
Why are they "trolls" if they accurately point out something? Do you have to ridicule people who present facts inconvenient to your argument?
