81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My strategy for the next hardfork SEGWIT2X on: November 01, 2017, 07:11:14 PM
My strategy:

step1: Transfer BTC to an exchange that credits 2X immediately when the fork is happening. (Because you won´t be able to do transactions)
step2: Sell all of my 1X BTC for 2X
step3: Sell all of my 2X for BitcoinCash
Well, that is your own decisions and I really hope you do not end up coming back here crying cause that seems like the pretty worst decision anyone would ever make.

Support has dropped a whole lot for B2X and switcing to B2X and then to BCC qould only make you regret as the bullish trend comes after the 2X for BTC. However, like I said, the decision is yours and you can do whatever you like with your coin.
82  Economy / Economics / Re: Wonder how many people can hold BTC for more than 3 years on: November 01, 2017, 05:48:51 PM
BTC was around $300 3 years ago.

Wonder how many people can hold BTC for more than 3 years and enjoy the amazing profit in this period Smiley

actually bitcoin already existed from 2009 you can see the graph in 2009 until 2017, if you hold it from 3 years ago I believe you will get many advantages and have become the richest person
Not everyone must have seen the advantage back then. So many people were even surprised that it could pass $10, I have read some posts on this forum where people speculated that Bitcoin would never get past $15 at most. Lots of people must have sold, there is no doubt and so many people held, so it depends on each individual and how patient they get when it comes to investments.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you learn from your gambling mistakes? on: November 01, 2017, 05:08:09 PM
Yes, learn from that fact. Gamblers only occasionally get big wins but in the end always end up with full losing. Therefore, everytime i got a win from gambling, I immediately stopped and cashout all.
Big wins are even very rare and most times I have come to terms with the fact that if you ever get that big win, it is at the detriment of one other person that is losing pretty bad. One just have to cut way for the other.

It is just funny that even when some people end up having huge wins, they still always end up coming back to try out their luck even more until they lose everything while some might see it as a chance to invest what they have won and simply just play with the little they get from the investment later on without sweating it. Life requires being smart and that should always be the take home.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can maths help you win in gambling ? on: November 01, 2017, 03:49:00 PM
Some game like poker or blackjack can implement math for their calculation. But I think it need complex calculation in order to predict the next card.
IMO, luck and guts the main factor for gambling rather than math although in the past, some gambler able win $ 500.000 because of math.
If you are referring to complex probability calculations, then I feel that may be a little bit of help but does not work 80% of the time. Sure, some gamblers are good at it since they can do some pretty cool calculation on their head but I really do not see how that can really play out for long as it still balls down to luck. Maths would only help get you to a little bit of the road, the rest is dependent on your luck.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can gambling help you with your life? on: November 01, 2017, 03:10:18 PM
Gambling gives you a sensation of happiness, relief, and positiveness. Of course that happens when you win, otherwise you it will give you a sensation of despair, sadness, and negativeness. Added to that, it can also help you with various things like teaching you to be patient, calm, a good manipulator, and so on. But people should not be wanting help from gambling because, seriously, it is not trustworthy. You always lose, and you rarely win. Plus, it is a waste of time if you ask me.
Happiness, relief and positiveness with gambling can only last for a while unless you just have the plans to quickly dash away with your winnings and never look  back.

I am really still looking for someone who will come out to say they have won more than they have lost in gambling which i believe would be very rare. What I know is that, except you just want to have fun, there is nothing gambling can really help you with in life.
That's only temporary happiness, especially that you have winnings that probably you think you could make more money because you have won a lot, why not make more? And that's a mistake that everyone should learn. It could help by winning a lot but the side effects like getting addicted are still there.
Thanks a lot mate! And that is where the whole gambling journey starts and which is why a whole lot of people who gamble are prone to get addicted if they cannot control themselves, which is pretty hard to deal with mentally and psychologically unless you have just had your moments in the past that you do not want it to repeat itself again.

Like you said, when people win, they still want to come back to win more and when they lose they still want to come back to try their luck. That addiction is something that only self control can help overcome.
86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make your first bets safely on: November 01, 2017, 12:10:12 PM
No pain no gain !
Even if you gamble with care, you still able to loss or just make small profit.

I'm suggest if you want to gamble just make sure that you're prepare for lossing rather than winning !

There is no way for betting safe in a gamble,if you wins you can make more money or it will be your fatal bro.
But there are some ways available for not losing your all investment.Make sure you have time and money limit on gambling to reduce yiur losses in gambling.

I think there is a one way that is, pick only the low odds to bet then your winning chances will be high.
I think there is no safety is gambling just care needed. You should be careful while gambling because of the old gamblers who use different tricks to win the game. You should avoid gamble with the old players. I will also suggest you to bet as much as you can afford.

If you bet a lot of money in one bet and you lose then you will be more upset, so it is better to gamble in your reachable money. by this way you will be able to bet again and again and can try your luck several times with less money.
Gambling has nothing to do with the world safety and that is why I think a person must face the harsh reality instead of creating false hopes in his mind. By showing care, we will not be facing great loss. Such a person will do small bets and his capital won’t suffer great changes even if the gambler loses games. There must be a limit on the amount with which somebody gambles and time also because time is much more important than money.
87  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the risk of holding Bitcoin? on: November 01, 2017, 08:18:41 AM
Fear of holding btc, It may crash down to its original value because of its highly volatile, the second, it could be a big threat against theft or scam, The third , Im afraid bitcoins will be banned in our country.

Factors can be considered during holding bitcoin are losing of your keys wallet where all of your personal information data sheet has been erase or hacked and attacking system like virus. And one thing of holding bitcoin is when the time has a very low exchange value a big dump like i saidmakes it a double risk to you.
At this stage, and from research, even newbies should already understand the volatility level of bitcoin and how they can manage their emotions based on past experience once such situations arrive. It can be crazy but knowing what you are getting into before getting into it usually helps in any investment. Security is not really a huge risk if you know how to manage it.
Volatility is what attracts the investor and at the same time it is what frighten them but I suggest such people showing trust in bitcoin because this digital asset is capable of doing a lot.Whatever we are witnessing at the present can be considered as a trailer and the real picture is still to be released out. In the world of trading, patience and trust are the keys to success. Avoid panic selling out and do not follow others a lot.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OKCASH making a huge come back now! on: October 31, 2017, 06:56:28 PM
I witnessed the very impressive pump during last Btc fork, hope it will do this again.
It most definitely will. Forks has always been one of the low trend driving factor for alts. However, people gradually will start seeing that these forks are not really much worth it and I will rather just hold my BTC a bit and then buy into alts maybe a day before the fork, cause that seems to me like a better way to make profit when I am not even sure what the outcome of the fork would end up being like just like BTG.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What encourages you to invest in any altcoin? on: October 31, 2017, 06:22:30 PM
Normally a good whitepaper will get me interested and make me invest.
Just make sure to check other details as well, having a good white paper is not enough, I have seen white papers longer than a hundred pages and yet very little is explained in those pages, so a long white paper does not necessarily mean a good one, besides scammers are getting better at hiding their intentions and naturally they are putting attention to the white paper as well.
Anyone can just hire a native English speaker to draft a very good and solid whitepaper which is even always the last thing I check before bothering to invest in a project.

Firstly, I always check the team, the works they have done, the possibilities that they can really pull off what they claim from the little summary I have read about the project and then I see what people really are saying about the coin on forums. Whitepaper is always the last thing I check before I finally get convinced enough to invest.
90  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: October 31, 2017, 03:51:14 PM
dont think so. but its posible. anyone could do coruption if they want but im the end they will get caught. even its not a new thing that many of bitcoin use to be terorist fund raising and money laundry.

I think that's the saddest part of of the usages of bitcoin were it can be use for illegal activities if the users has a bad intention for it. But as much as we can we should not abuse the usages of bitcoin.
I usually do not fancy it when bitcoin is being attributed to illegal activities as if would make it much more worst. Firstly, unless you want to do some mixing, bitcoin transaction can be traced so not necessarily anonymous. Also, illegal activities has been in existence even before bitcoin came into play. There are so many means they have always made payments in cash, assets and so on, so bitcoin is definitely not an exception and also not the cause.
91  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Supermarket Accept Bitcoin on: October 31, 2017, 11:53:13 AM
I don't know any supermarket that accept bitcoin directly but there's a store (Jeffersons Store – A street wear clothing store in Bergenfield, N.J)

I think you will better get a bitcoin debit card, and spend it freely in Supermarkets.

You can find more of companies, shops, services accepting bitcoin here: https://99bitcoins.com/who-accepts-bitcoins-payment-companies-stores-take-bitcoins/
Bitcoin debit card will end up becoming the norm at the end of it all. At that point anyone can make use of the currency the way they wish even without the stores accepting bitcoin normally. However, the usage by stores will most definitely create awareness for the currency in the long run and people will start getting curious by the day to see how they can make the best use of the currency.
92  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Looking To Start A Small Business With Bitcoin on: October 31, 2017, 11:21:57 AM
starting a small business is easy, with btc you can start your own investment, or you can sell your talent like design or anything else. If you want quick results then you can focus on investing
Who told you that BTC can help you sell your talent? Big lie dude, cause BTC doesn’t help you sell your talent. Talent is something you sell out to big business companies physically and not online cause there is no site that says sell your talent online. But if you want something that can help you start up a business, your own business, then Bitcoin is your best option. I have used the money I got from it to improve my business.
Yukyzu never said bitcoin will help sell talents. Apparently, what  he meant was selling your talent as a form of business and earning from it and I do not see anything wrong with that.

In fact, it is simply the easiest way to make money and do business, by rendering services based on where your talent lies. And if you have some talents or skills that can help you earn bitcoin, it is simply like a small business you can start without even involving any startup capital.
93  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 1 Year in Cryptocurrency still no luck earning bitcoin. Need some real advice. on: October 31, 2017, 07:56:47 AM
Just have more patience. Prices on cryptocurrency is so volatile that even those traders that have been in this industry for more than a year cannot predict it. Read more books and blogs about trading and start learning other techniques from them.
Earning bitcoin does not have to do with patience. Patience will not bring food to your table, patience will not buy you a house or a car or anything good you may need. Even if you want to invest in bitcoin and watch it grow in value, you will still need funds to do that and apparently patience will not give you that money. My point is that you just have to work for it and stop depending on luck to earn. Even luck is busy working.
There is no way that we can deny the importance of luck in our lives but the point is you cannot rely on your luck only. If you really want to achieve something in your life, then you have to burn your midnight oil. There are so many around us who are earning a very handsome amount by investing in bitcoin. You can also amongst one of them, but you need to be very much hard working.
Luck is just some make belief as far as I am concerned. I know some people can get lucky sometimes when being given or they getting what they don’t even deserve while someone work for it. The thing is if you wait for luck, you may start growing white beards before luck even tend to remember you were existing.

So, the best thing is to take your life in your hands and work towards achieving greatness, and if you are lucky enough, you may even get a bigger result than you could have imagined.
94  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: losing 50 bitcoins gambling on: October 31, 2017, 06:43:09 AM
Loosing coins through gambling is a very tragic thing in my consideration since you aren't just loosing your funds but you are also loosing the potential growth of those coins when converted to fiat , for example if i lose 1 coin that's estimated to 4k dollars and after a year or so it's value turns to 6k+ dollars , that's additional money lost . So i advice everybody to not gamble with bitcoins , even tho casinos accepting bitcoins are by far more flexible and anonymous , but to transfer their funds to fiat and gamble with it , with of course small amounts of bitcoin because due to it's fluctuation you never know how much it's value can reach .
It is really tragic my friend ! At first when I started gambling I had that huge mistake of trying to recover losses, or trying to keep pushing further and then one day I realized just this same thing you just mentioned that if I had actually put the amount in my wallet and leave it, I would have gotten much more than gambling possibly could have given me and I just had to retrace my step pr just gamble with little if I want to have some fun or some blood rush knowing the chances of losing it anyway is still high.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: October 31, 2017, 06:13:19 AM
It makes sense to the one who's investing it, but for someone with a fatter paycheck who looks into it, he might think that it's wa ste of time. But honestly speaking, there are no big or small investments; there are only aensible and stupid ones. Everybody's gotta start somewhere so investing small wouldn't do any harm.Good luck with your initial small golden egg !
Hmmm… Like you said, it totally depends on the individual and how much the individual has and is willing to risk on such investments. There is no small investments, it just depends on the capacity and ability of each individual on what they consider a small amount. However, in the real outcome, small investment can still be built gradually to be a big one, just depends on the person involved and how willing they are to sacrifice a lot.
96  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: October 31, 2017, 05:31:19 AM
I guess all of us right here desire to get abundant with bitcoins. Like me,Im dreaming to get abundant but its take a whole lot of endurance and hard work.I will get get rid of also when I performed in gambling. Maybe I have had adequate of funds then commit it in trading.
If we dream big we will have to work hard and with the performance of bitcoin in the market it will only inspire us to work harder.
The value is increasing so the more we have to seek for it, if we have bitcoin we only need to save it for long term and just enjoy the profit in the future.
It is actually one thing to dream big and then it is another thing to work towards actualizing the dream and making it become reality. It is very easy to dream and of course we are hoping and very optimistic that bitcoin will increase hugely later in future and really surprise a whole lot of people with its value eventually but we will still have to work towards actualizing it faster so we can keep earning as much as we can before that day.
97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I try to win back my loss? on: October 30, 2017, 07:07:45 PM
Don't do it. That is the common mistake that most gamblers do. It is also a clear sign that you are going close to an addiction. Just let it go and and I suggest that you leave gambling for good. It will just stressed you out if you will keep coming back and recover your losses.

Yeah and most of the time dude, you don't really get the result you wanted from it. If you'vr lost continously in a day, i think it would be better to accept the fact that you're just not that lucky that day and it would be better to just leave. People who are stubborn enough to continue playing usually spend every penny they have and goes home without anything at all
Sure you don’t and that is why it is gambling. Pure game of luck! No one ever expect a lost but they surely do come most of the time and the best is just to accept the losses when they come and move on just like you have said. It is shitty though but it takes a high level of self control most times and understanding that the higher the risk you are taking further the more chances are for you to get nabbed, then the better.
98  Economy / Economics / Re: New rich people thanks to BTC on: October 30, 2017, 06:12:57 PM
Thanks to Bitcoin a lot of people had made some considerable amount of money. And I can say that Bitcoin made my life a lot easier, because f not for Bitcoin I could not be able to afford some things I have now. I can only imagin how people who made them self millioners feel now... I guess it feals great. I know I would feel that way.
Bitcoin has favored a lot of people and made things quite easy. I won’t lie, I’m among those that Bitcoin really favored a lot, cause it changed my life. Bitcoin just balanced the beam by not letting any side of it outweigh the other. I’m not the only person Bitcoin changed his life, I also see a lot of people in my country that bitcoin changed their life. I know people that went from being poor to being Millionaires  and Billionaires.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: October 28, 2017, 06:15:21 PM
Well this is the 2nd largest market capital so no doubt i will still support ETH simply because i believe on its system and this is also a cryptocurrencies which can be the future of the next generation. I will support all good altcoins no matter what because they offer good system for a brighter future.
Who apparently would not want to support something that can end up being extremely profitable in the long run. Even despite all the challenges it has had and some of the developments going on, it has proven itself strong somehow in the market with its idea and I will still support it mostly for the profit anyway Grin
100  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the first rule of daily trading in your opinion? on: October 28, 2017, 04:28:38 PM
Never take your eyes off the market for day trading!
Apparently that is why it is called day trading, isn't it? That is where the difference between a long term trading and day trading comes in. You have to keep monitoring the charts, making pretty fast decisions and then playing out your strategies on each one. However, first rule is never bite more than you can chew. Have a strategy, stick to it and learn from your mistakes.
