1021  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The Merkle / Bitcoin VPS Service Reviews on: January 05, 2017, 08:19:23 PM
Thank you for starting such an useful discussions. Actually you are innovating some ideas through this service and discussions (by linking Merkle pages here).
One humble suggestion : it would be good if you are able to maintain some simple list here for comparing some VPS services.
1022  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Doubling bitcoins??? on: January 05, 2017, 08:07:55 PM
This doesn't sound very convincing to me but some of them are offering the list of blockchain transactions as a proof that coins were credited.
Just sending some bitcoins into their own wallet might cost only tx fees. Do you think that they will not be ready to spend that much small amounts also just to bait you ?
Inducing greed by showing fake proof is most common in all types of scams and this is what happening in the industry of HYIP programs always, unfortunately these scammer are coming into bitcoin market with the name of doublers.

It is highly insane to believe in some blockchain transactions when we are not having any proof for the address are belonging to any trusted people.
1023  Economy / Speculation / Re: How the rate of bitcoin is controled? on: January 05, 2017, 08:02:15 PM
It isn't controlled.
That is absolutely true because in a free market if you are able to invest then we will be able to control bitcoin's price levels. At the same time our control will not sustain for long as anyone else will be having more investment than us to take control from us.

It is a free market and we all control it.
1024  Economy / Speculation / Re: I don't want a $2,000 bitcoin by February on: January 05, 2017, 07:56:30 PM
We always cannot expect slow and steady price appreciation. Just imagine if we are heading towards $10k price levels then $2000 will be possible before this February itself.

There will be nothing wrong if bitcoin reach there by this month itself too. Because if it reach there then it will definitely reach $10k levels by mid of this year. I agree after that some pullback will be possible still it will be good for all of us.
1025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no competition on: January 05, 2017, 07:44:10 PM
Of course Bitcoin has competitors, all the other cryptos compete against Bitcoin. Not very successful right now, but this can change any minute. Also Gold serves a different purpose, because most use it not as an investment to make money, but to diversify. If the stock market and Bitcoin go bonkers, then you still have some value not like people who lost it all.

None of the other altcoins have even one-hundredth of the user-base which Bitcoin is having right now. They can't rival Bitcoin in popularity, reach and technology. That is the main reason why their exchange rates are not rising right now.
The main reason the exchanges rates of other coins are not rising is because right now there is a massive pump in bitcoin and so everyone wants to get a piece of the action, while other coins cannot rival the popularity of bitcoin to say they cannot rival bitcoin in tech its incorrect since there are other coins with very interesting algorithms and features.
With the more users joining in the bitcoin community and the price getting higher and higher, it is true that bitcoin has no competition for now.

But  it become harder and harder for people to buy it and harder for others to mine, so there are many who are switching to other cryptocurrencies and mining those so that when the time comes for them to rise they will have a chance.
1026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: January 05, 2017, 07:33:24 PM
Hello everyone as the title says ^
Do you store your bitcoins online or on a wallet on your computer, perhaps cold storage?
I have three here electrum for desktop blockchain and coins.ph for online but I made sure i did not store all of my bitcoin on one wallet alone I divide it to three .
Quite nice idea. I am only using poloniex wallet right now and I its quite nice and they do not charge usually high fees. Though recently I had issues of not getting email confirmation and had to wait like 12 hours for my withdraw. But then, which sites does not have issues Smiley
1027  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to buy bitcoins by paypal? on: January 05, 2017, 07:22:11 PM
It is possible to buy bitcoins with PayPal as you have shdvb, the most trusted person here who buys/sells Bitcoins against PayPal and many other electronic currencies... You can even try Localbitcoins and find a seller, or try out VirWox...
i personally have no idea about that actually paypal is totally banned in my area and therefore it is not possible for me to use here in my country therefore i do not have any idea about that, but may be possible.
Yes, possible. But most people do not accept paypal because it is reversible and the policies of paypal are very awkward. Luckily you have not come across using bitcoins like many African countries have not experienced it. Still people accept paypal from reputed members just by having faith on them for not reversing.
1028  Economy / Economics / Re: How many BTC will make you a fiat millionaire in 5 years? on: January 05, 2017, 12:57:06 PM
I would go for 500-1000 BTC for me to be a millionaire, as  the price of bitcoins is likely to double or triple within the given time frame.
Well, keep dreaming about that visionary. Try to obtain 500 bitcoin before you die LOL
I think we only need 10 Bitcoin. It is enough to become a millionaire after five years since the Bitcoin prices keep increasing significantly
500 bitcoins is really a big amount, you can see that the price of bitcoin is fluctuating rapidly, I think let the price first come stable and after that it will become easy for us to estimate the price which will be really good for us to become fiat millionaire.

Still, if I happen to have 500 bitcoins then surely I will be a millionaire as bitcoin price is heading toward $10k price levels.
1029  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: January 05, 2017, 11:14:32 AM
the simplest and easiest way to invest I can think is buying or earning bitcoin in the low price, and hold it for a long time. no doubt, many people make profit by doing this. but I myself invest my bitcoin into a business. I sell things and get profit. it is another way of investment, but not bad.

Yes that is the simplest way of investing in bitcoin but the thing is that we can't buy bitcoins at a very low price today as the price keeps on increasing. Maybe better to focus more on some other ways where you can good profit like trading. While you have funds for holding, still you need to allocate some of it for trading.
The best investment strategy is to put money into bitcoin, investing in bitcoin is realy profitable if you work smart, first you buy bitcoin than you take some of it and use it in trading on short term bitcoin and you save some, and then use the profit to buy more bitcoin and keep repeating the same until you become rich.
1030  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: January 05, 2017, 11:05:16 AM
As per current situations we can easily speculate the levels of price movements still unpredictability nature remains same as our fear of loss always support it.
Of course trading is an unpredictable job, I mean anything that has a profit out of it involves risks, the bigger the risk the bigger the profit, gambling is the best example for this,  trading involves risks when it comes to predicting the long term invest, if you tend to put on long term you get more profit, if you put on short term the profit is not that big.
1031  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Newbie on: January 05, 2017, 10:12:32 AM
Are a lot of threads here on forum, about this, so search there and you'll find a lot of good solutions.
The most important thing in trading is that don’t blame yourself when the predictions don’t go your way, if you lose some it is okay you just have to try again and learn from your mistakes because that is what life is all about, start trading with a small amount and never go fast just be patient and plan your trades.
1032  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: January 05, 2017, 09:21:14 AM
Investing in gambling using the money is acceptable because if you invest it in the right site then it will be

certainly profitable but betting it on a gambling is a different story. As you all know that the house often wins

like 70% chance that the house will win and the other 30% will be the chance that the players will win. Yes the

bigger the amount you bet the bigger your profits will be and if it's not your day your loss will be bigger also.

That's why many people here are saying that gamble only what you can afford to lose.
I think not only in gambling but in trading also you need to set a target for you and make a strategy to make trading more effective and specially if you are a newbie in trading, you need to be more careful and need to invest a limited amount of bitcoin as you need to get some good experience first.

If all goes as per plan then no traders need to think about quitting it.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: January 05, 2017, 09:13:57 AM
Said in another manner, always bet what you can afford to lose and control yourself, that's the key to ending in profit, everything else is just a path that will sooner or later lead you to loss

The most suitable recommendation when you go to a site and gamble is that when you actually deposit into that site then you should have consider that your deposit is lost therefore even if you actually lose it then you probably will not get emotional with it , if you actually ended up winning then probably it is as your extra bonus
it will make you addicted. gambling addiction has a very strong value. we will not be able to stop playing gambling if we do not remove it from our memories.
It is easy saying to remove the memories of gambling from our mind but too hard to be followed in reality.

We cannot remove the memories of gambling from our mind if we are really addicted, only possible solution is to bring change in our gambling habits and can be some how possible, through this way at least you can reduce your lost.
1034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Because house/bookie always wins on: January 05, 2017, 08:35:49 AM
Yes, it is true. Every gambling sites are like this which the house always win, and the percentage of winning is lower than that percentage of losing, that is why most of the gambling sites are rich and have many bitcoin. Other players are just investing their bitcoin to the gambling sites because they are staying on side that has a less risk compare if you are just going to spend it in gambling. In my opinion, rather than doing gambling as the way we earn bitcoin, doing other things that have less risk are more appropriate and worth than gambling like Trading and posting in this forum.
Owning a gambling house itself means trading.so i am providing that opportunity to people here to start earning money rather than losing in gambling.
If coders are giving edge to house then the site can run for some time and after that people will lose trust on them and willl not invest in such casino, I think they need to be fair in gambling, and only then they can expect to be successful in future and to run for a long time.
1035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I invest in bitcoin casinos? on: January 05, 2017, 08:23:35 AM
Why not ,there alot of Bitcoin and others shitcoin casino run pretty steady so far now. But if you a gambler I suggest you to inform the admin to lock your account from gambling.
I think it can depend on the site or casino where you want to invest your bitcoin, need to be very much careful as there may be some casino or gambling sites that can easily scam you, if you want still invest your money there then you must first get good information first and then you can try with only your affordable to lose money.
1036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you can control your self when playing gambling? on: January 05, 2017, 07:33:37 AM
Very difficult to settle for something that we have achieved, especially in gambling, I am pretty sure you also like it always greedy and want more. maybe we have prepared or have thoughts that do not want to be greedy when gambling, but in the end we will remain greedy, im sure with this.
Yes, it is really very challenging, although I always try my best to control myself while playing gambling but most of the time I cannot succeeded, and that really cause a big lost to me, I think there will a little number of people who may be able to control their emotions in gambling, othewsie it is not possible for us to have some professional gamblers.
1037  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are You Disappointed In Trading? on: January 04, 2017, 08:28:49 PM
Beginners in trading are the most ones who are likely to experience disappoinment but only those who have patient in learning how trade will become successful in trading. Failure is a part of the learning process as most traders experienced it in their early years of trading.
That's true, even the best traders have gone through problems. The difference between them to those who fail to succeed, is that they know how to study the causes that led to losses, and so use that information to avoid future losses.
Another difference is that the big traders have a big bankroll too and hence easily recover from some bad moments.
I have traded a lot and for some reason it looks like whatever coin I invest in just has a basic aim of scamming me. While if I miss investing on a coin it goes to sky high values.
1038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's freaking 2017 - Do you own 1 BTC? on: January 04, 2017, 07:08:27 PM
You donated 10 BTC!

Somebody bought a pizza with lots of bitcoin  Embarrassed, let's not count some similar events which if we remember now will make us feel bad. Anyway to stay in topic yes and I'm trying to hold it for a longer time, $1k is a good indicator to hold for a longer time.
Me too I am also holding and I agree with you mate that those 10 btc and pizza stories were bought or spent when the price was appropriate at that time. We cannot consider the price of property in 1900's and now then why we are humiliating the guys who spent btc earlier.
1039  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do you think is a good time to start trading ? on: January 03, 2017, 10:06:42 PM
any time is the right time to make trades. The most important is timing in buying and selling bitcoin we have.
when we carefully so we can benefit from our sales results.
Yes, you can start trading at any time. But you need to start trading with a little amount and patiently, you should not invest a big amount in trading in start as you need to gain some experience first and then you should go for investing large amount in trading.
1040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do any people gamble under the age of 18? on: January 03, 2017, 04:48:03 PM
i think there is , but not many because i think users bitcoin average 22-40 .. just little users under 20
Yeah I do think so. But it is a problem if people who under 18 years old keep gambling because it is definitely illegal. Bitcoiners, in my opinion, have to do something to stop them from gambling. They do not have enough knowledge about what they are doing.
Come on friend we are not living in 1990's where you believe that a 16 year old children is too innocent and cannot take his decisions.

Anyone who can gamble, I believe has enough knowledge if he should gamble or not and when it comes to addiction even the 40-50 years old people are getting addicted unfortunately.
I think it is not so strange that people under the age of 40 or 50 are addicted to gambling, because I think they have played gambling for such a long time that it has now become difficult for them to stop it.

But to me warning situation is that there are so many people under the age of 18 and they also have become addicted to gambling and they even cannot stop gambling for a single day.
