31 minutes since the network has solved a block... is that a long time or is it just me
Meh... they are all slow today
2 days ago I saw 57 minutes since the network solved a block, it was a period where about 70Ph fell off for a while, since the diff is based on network hash, then saw a large pool has issues and network looses 70ph, blocks can get quite long. I see that as an issue if say China lost all internet in a massive attack or natural disaster. Since more then 60% of all the hash is in China, we would be in deep dodo with blocks going days! Maybe China should lose internet more often. They already have too much hash and could do with less. A big portion of the hash is there and it kinda feel like centralization to me. I agree, less hash from China. But with the diff at 52+ it would take months if not years for the network diff if reduce enough to get 10 min block if 60-70 percent of the hash went away. The remaining miners would have to fork the chain to get back to 10m blocks in a reasonable time frame. My 2 cents No, it would take to the next 2016 block re-adjustment to go down appropriately, at most two. If we lost 60% of the hash rate today, next week the diff would adjust downward significantly and the following 2016 block adjustment would finish it off. Correct, but if we lost that much hash shortly after an adjustment it would take a LONG time to get 2000 or so blocks. Say we are at 400ph now, just adjusted and then network went to 160ph it would be months. We lost 70ph for a short time a couple days ago and I saw a almost 1 hour block and others in 30min plus. At that time network went to 320ph. Now imagine 160Ph. I'm sure someone can do the math at 160ph at current diff and 2000 blocks to mint before next adjustment. Ahh, ok I see your point now... Misunderstood the angle you were taking with it. Would be roughly 2.5x longer, right? If it takes about 12 days now, it would take 30 days to get to the next adjustment in that case.

Damn! Honestly, never expected it to end this way... (always wanted to say that... ). I figured _someone_ would toss another bid in here. Sheesh. A hope Quickseller doesn't call the Police on me for stealing this from him! And yeah, I guess I by default am cornering the market so far. But, not to worry, I have a feeling that plenty more of these in a 68 grade will exist before long, and karma will come back at me.

I just don't even.
OP.. what happened to your thousand dollar penny....here we go again with the MS+ grading.... Well, technically he's correct about the MS+ grading and "mint condition", 'cause well they came directly from the mint, still sealed... I also love the "depending on the bird's wing" part.... Rare errors usually do depend on something being different... OP, in all seriousness, if you find some poor sucker to actually buy this for what you want for it, please publish the details. I've got a bridge to sell them as well...

I'm wondering if anyone actually has all of the Ravenbit coins after factoring in all of the Node Bronze colored coins. I guess it depends on what the individual decides is a "complete set".
I wonder too? Could you possibly list all of the coins you've done? I suppose a complete set is one of each coin produced regardless if it's a 'special edition' numbered version or not (even though the numbered are more desirable of course) . ravenbit.com/coins Coin, mintage, release date1) Satoshi; 204; Dec 24 2013 2) Node Brass; 950; Oct 11 2014 3) Node Brass L.E.; 50; Oct 11 2014 4) Node Copper; 250; Nov 23 2014 5) Node Silver; 25; Dec 29 2014 6) Node Bronze; 515; Jun 2 2015 6a) Node Bronze (gray); 428 6b) Node Bronze (green); 27 6c) Node Bronze (yellow); 18 6d) Node Bronze (violet); 15 6e) Node Bronze (blue); 12 6f) Node Bronze (red); 9 6g) Node Bronze (orange); 6 There were also error coins in Node Brass L.E. (two of #48 and no #49) and Node Copper (two of #248 and no #249), but I wouldn't include these in a full set. I'm curious... does anyone actually have a full set of the coins I've listed above? (including the node bronze colors, but not including the error coins) I'm working on it, and am close, but still need a few. I have all the Bronze colors, the Node Silver and a Node Copper (#002). Now I need both Brass versions and the Satoshi, if anyone's selling. Sorry for the hijack...

Silver plated 29 clams
I had PM'd you about this one... let me know what you want in exchange, either another silver plated or BTC asking price please. Thanks.

Pretty expensive considering that shipping will be up to the buyer. And for example I am from Europe it will cost me a lot Not really... Current bid is enough below current market rate based on recent sales that even adding shipping you're still at a discount.

Quick bump of this thread . If you have any of the following numbered coins please contact the member or post on this thread. #1 TheAnalogkid #2 CJBianco #3 ezeminer #4 Mitchell ? #5 minerjones #6 hedgy73 #7 wheelz1200 #8 minerjones #9 TheAnalogKid #10 CJBianco #11 TheAnalogKid #27 TheAnalogKid #28 TheAnalogKid #28 TheAnalogKid #30 TheAnalogKid Alternatively if you have any coins for trade or for sale please post. Generous prices are being paid for numbers needed . Btw, although I am a coin whore, I am not actively collecting to keep sets #027-30. I just happen to have most of the coins in those series, and if I manage to get them all they will be put up for auction as complete sets for anyone who wants it. Kinda saved the trouble of finding them all for you... If anyone wants to buy the coins I have for those sets yet incomplete, please feel free to make an offer. I do plan on posting the full list of coins in those sets in a couple weeks when all my current trades are complete.

Reminds me of bull durhum. "Build it, and they will come" Oh and still looking for my first gold coin. #7s might be my goal.... Nice quote there... BTW - it appears I have Clams #007 if you'd like it. Only #007 I have, oddly enough, and for some reason it didn't make it onto my OP trade list.

I might have to start collecting #4, as I already have Bitcoin #4 (and I would never sell it). I've got several if you ever wish to do so. I've got coins heading over the pond in a few weeks, so I could always include them and make the shipping easier.

Its dead Jim. Seriously I don't see the 500ph mark until well after the ˝ingCall we officially call the ASIC boom over? I think so, ASIC Boom RIP 2013 - 2015.
We've defiantly reached a plateau, haven't been in territory like this since mid-2011 thru begin of 2013. Where do we go from here? Realistically I don't know how much bigger the network can grow, especially with the next halving right around the corner. I think the network becomes more efficient, but not much larger than ~400PH/s.
Call me crazy, but I don't think it's dead yet. I think we could see 425PH by end of year, along with an associated 20%+ total diff increase. Simply basing it on if new hardware finally gets out. I think we'll see a 20% efficiency bump with it, and I think it will have a net trickle-down effect, with those at the bottom (most inefficient hardware) tossing old gear and get more efficient. I'm not sure there would be a market for that old gear, even with free power, so it might not be as much as I think, but I still think we're in for another decent sized jump before the halving. However, as always, a lot will have to do with the price of BTC. If it stays flat up to and through the halving, I think it could bring the total hashrate down considerably as more leave the game because they can no longer afford to mine at all. But, that's the great thing about speculation... we all don't know but it's fun to talk about...

I think I might have a couple #007's, and I think I also have a few #004's. Man, this is getting freaking confusing... And, I find it freaking hilarious that the creator of these coins didn't keep any for himself...
