81  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB-Europe] USB Block erupter on: July 26, 2013, 05:37:00 AM
Looking for two or three block erupters from EU. Shipping from US takes too much time and is not worth it.

82  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you had 1,000USD (~13 BTC) What mining hardware would you get ? on: July 10, 2013, 04:55:16 PM
Any better options ? I want to get the most GH/s per dollar

Not really. ASICs are so rare right now that none is selling them even if you want to buy. Wait for a month and there are much more options.

I have a budget of 1,000 USD to get some mining hardware, I'd like tangible mining hardware. I might get Block Erupter USB sticks in a USB hub plugged into a raspberry pi, but I'm wondering if there are any better options out there that will get me mining as quickly as possible (So no BFL year waiting periods please Tongue)

Buy a BFL Jalapeno from someone. I haven't checked what people are asking for them atm. I'm pretty sure you can get a Jalapeno + Raspberry Pi with USB hub and everything with 1000USD.
84  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 3x60GHs BFL ASIC August 2012 Pre-orders for sale 90 BTC/piece bid on: July 09, 2013, 08:52:30 PM
This thread is so ridiculous. August orders are not even close. They are still shipping June 23rd. I might as well do some highjacking and offer June 2012 at the same price that xorred is asking. Just for the lulz. I'll even pay JohnK's escrow fees Wink

Butthurt much, xorred.

You don't need to create new threads every day. Keep all the crying in one place.

No, you don't have to pay VAT at all if you are located in a non-EU country. Only thing you have to worry is shipping and a possible sales tax or similar if your country has one. VAT is only for consumers (end-users) who live inside EU.

This is not true, many non-EU countries have VAT. I have no way not to double-pay VAT importing from EU if seller doesn't (properly) release me from paying EU country VAT.

VAT is not applied if seller ships outside of EU. I can't say this more clearly.
89  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: July 06, 2013, 09:16:53 PM
I would not pay VAT if I order as a company.
Is there a way to get that into the store?

yes there is, in the check out process.
But not for non-EU states.
VAT is always claimed full. And that is wrong!
So I'm going to order anything.
No desire to pay VAT two times.

europe guys set up a shipping service to US

not smart at all to alienate 80% of the bitcoin community by not shipping to US

I already said I'm doing this. I'm waiting for Punin to get everything in order with VAT and everything so I can order some units for my company.

If someone from US is looking for a hosting or a pass-through, send me a PM. I've a company with valid EU VAT ID and I live in Finland close to punin and BFSB.

95  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] [EU] Wine from Portugal - market survey - are you interested? on: June 28, 2013, 11:52:33 AM
In Finland we are allowed to receive 5 litres of wine since you are from another EU country. That requires that you send them as an invidual person, not as a company. It also requires that the wine is sent as a gift, otherwise he have to pay taxes from the total value of the shipment.

Being a wine drinker myself I'd say that people are paying 8€ per bottle on average (red or white table wine). For example the most popular red wine Gato Negro Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile costs 7€ here. So your prices are very competitive in my opinion. Cheapest Porto Wine is 10€ per bottle but I wouldn't buy that. I'd say good ones cost 20€ per bottle on average. Good dessert wine is about 12€ per bottle. These are of course my opinions and based on what wines I buy or would buy. Some people choose the cheapest wines and some don't even want to taste anything cheaper than 30€ per bottle.

I will definitely order some wines if I can get more info on what you have to offer. Great service!
96  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: What should power limit be on a mining equipment in your country? on: June 24, 2013, 12:29:23 PM
Germany: 3 x 230V / 63A house entry point. Typically the last breakers are 230V / 16A or 3-phase 32A.

230V * 16A = 3,680W ~ 2*1,800=120V/15A - that works great

You can get double the performance in one case

97  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Garr255/Werner - Auction shilling on: June 20, 2013, 05:57:49 PM
Wow, this is really low. I remember garr255 talking about being trusted person and managing other people's money.. here it is

will you use escrow through john until item is shipped.

I was just about to write another post stating that I will not be using an escrow. This is because revenue from this sale will immediately be put into Cognitive's growth fund, which we might need to utilize before BFL ships. Additionally, there should be no trust issues, because I am a fairly trusted person here, managing well over $100k of other peoples' assets, and even a few hundred btc of the forum's money. Cognitive, the company I manage, currently has a market cap of over BTC2000 which I'm quite proud of Smiley

That quote also reveals why mods are stalling with this matter.
98  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: metabank.ru ASIC Miner on: June 20, 2013, 03:11:11 PM
Have they started taking pre-orders yet?

Do they have a good reputation in the community. I only hear a little about these guys but their miners are fairly priced...

First batch of about 300 devices is arealy sold out.
99  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] BFL ASICs, + Board Design Underway. on: June 18, 2013, 12:59:15 PM
I have 32 codes that I would be willing to put forward to this groupbuy if there is a real chance (as in "100%") that there is a EU-based (preferred: burnin) assembly that provides "ready to run" rigs/boards/blades.

I've contacted burnin(no answer, yet) and I've been also talking with some Finnish PCB design companies. Haven't got any solid offers yet.

If you got any good contacts in Germany we could order the chips straight to Europe and buy MrTeals design and have everything assembled here. One option is to just make clones of the BFL's existing products. The PCB designer who I talked with said that BFL needs to release more info about some component libraries (Altium schdoc) and some firmwares too.

I'm not trying to be rude or discouraging but most of the time you are not ready if you have to ask.
