The Price of Bitcoin will reach $100 before the Mt Gox wall movement thread reaches 1000 pages

BET

What if I bet against BTC and post every minute until we reach 1000 pages?

30 Day Chart....Bottom around $81 of this dip?

Not the absolute bottom, no.
83  Economy / Speculation / Re: By buying 1 BTC you are depriving 666 human beings from owning bitcoins. on: March 28, 2013, 08:49:33 PM
There are about 0.0015 BTC per human being on this planet at this time. Therefore, by buying 1 BTC you are depriving 666 human beings from owning their fair share of bitcoins. Evilness of those who hoard thousands of BTC is simply despicable. Mu-ha-ha.

Not necessarily maybe I'll sell them .0015 for a low $200 or something like that.
84  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pick Your Channel, Bitcoin on: March 28, 2013, 06:04:07 PM
Out of curiosity, what caused you to establish the point of origin where you did?

Don't you see?  underwear gnomes!
85  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is a 0 confirmation double spend for retail possible? on: March 28, 2013, 11:02:03 AM
Nobody should accept a transaction with 0 confirmations. It doesn't matter if you are a merchant or a seaman.

I sea, So a POS device using the blockchain is never going to be feasible then? No buying coffee with Bitcoin unless a third party handles the transaction.

I would sell coffee 0 confirm for POS transactions.

Today:

You sell coffee someone spends one counterfeit $20 bill and the business is out $20.

The future:

You sell coffee someone double spends 2 uBTC ($2) to buy a cup of coffee.  The business is out around $2.  I don't see why this cant be in the coffee shops business model.

It already broke 10500 trends, including log scale ones.

It's over 9000   Shocked
90  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 28, 2013, 03:06:04 AM
Any thoughts on the price action in the next 12 hours? USA/Europe winding down, Asia waking up...where are we going in your estimation?

Just curious. Smiley

I think it could go either way today.

China is jittery and following Gox movement, which is also jittery.

I think given what happened last weekend, many will be waiting for this long weekend to pass to see what happens. 4 days of potentially low liquidity. Should be a good buying opportunity on Easter Monday IMO.

I've reduced my exposure by about 1/2 until then.

I too think that it might go up or down.
91  Other / Meta / Re: Why do some people have highlighted 'Ignore' buttons? on: March 28, 2013, 02:41:31 AM
No it just means that many people don't like what the people say. Hero members have spent most time here, so more time was given for crackpot ignores posts to accumulate.

I fixed your post for you.

<- Not every hero member has been annoying people.

Some of us speak our minds, and some of us just go with what we are told from the higher ups, nothing wrong with either way.

I'm not sure about that, let me check with the higher ups.

I know Cypher is loaded, but I don't think he is Loaded.

Of course, you may not look like a cup of coffee, but you certainly feel like one.

But you don't taste as good.
93  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sending REALLY sensitive information on: March 28, 2013, 01:34:06 AM

Send the person a picture of a cat to use as a one time pad.   Grin

Mail them a CD with the picture of the cat that you take yourself.  Email the OTP encrypted file.

I'm being a little silly this is probably overkill.
LOL.

What about just mailing a password (plaintext), and then emailing a .rar encrypted file?  I don't know what OTP is or how a cat picture could be used as a pad, and yes, that might be overkill for my purposes anyway.  Tongue

In case you're interested.  This is an encryption technique that is very secure as long as the pad is secret.  Even if your picture of a cat was your pad and public I still feel that no one is going to  XOR your message with that picture of a cat.

How about you sit on the $320 worth of BTC for 2,5 years.  After then you'll be able to afford the flight.

If bitcoin continues to rise and doesn't crash yeah, but unfortunately I myself don't think it'll rise that high. BTC would need to reach $126/BTC for that. I got bored of bitcoin when it crashed down to $3 back in 2011, it bugs me to this day lol. Should have bought a lot....
Less than $40 away now.  2.5 years, at this rate it'll be 2.5 months or less.
95  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 27, 2013, 07:27:16 PM
I have two transactions over hours still 0 confirmations (2 different source wallets)

are we experiencing another event like the fork?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=156942.msg1688304#msg1688304

No the blocks are almost full.  Include a fee next time, or a larger fee if it's important to confirm quickly.
96  Economy / Speculation / Re: Parity watch -> Maldives on: March 27, 2013, 05:26:18 PM
Maldives             $974,900,000.00    $89.28

I don't know.
98  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 27, 2013, 05:14:35 PM
I love the first comment: "Only the greedy are buying now" Smiley

Seeing the Germans come to terms with the New World Order will be amusing.

I like this new world order.  This bitcoin order will surpass the others.

99  Economy / Speculation / Re: Unlikely Bitcoin price will ever surpass $5,000 on: March 27, 2013, 03:02:48 PM
$5,000 long-term?
You can count on much higher, since the Dollar will be trash.

I'll be honest here, is the USD really doing that badly? I thought inflation was only around 2-3%

They print 3% of M1 every month.
100  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 27, 2013, 12:00:58 AM
No more wall at 79.
Exactly, just as the triangle that seems to be playing out is completing. I actually think we might have some Wallmakers attempting to create triangles! HAHAH!

I'm going to make a rhombus.   Grin
