81  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit.net is a scam ? on: April 10, 2018, 08:54:29 PM
As preposters already stated: Exchangers with many exotic coins are struggling on updating wallets. Even Poloniex, which only has a very small fraction of coins, has many wallets not updated.
82  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How does cloud mining work? on: April 10, 2018, 08:40:17 PM
The problem with these scam "cloud miners" is, that contracts seem to be allowed to be sold on popular auction platforms. Many crypto newcomers are trapped into these "services", because they simply don't see another way to buy Bitcoin, at least in countries, where no Bitcoin ATMs are offered.
83  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SegWit wallets on: April 10, 2018, 08:34:27 PM
Samourai it's a way better option (and IMO the best Segwit mobile wallet).

Mycelium is looking pratically dead in my eyes after the whole ICO fiasco and how it's been 7 months since the Segwit activation and they don't even have plans on supporting it (they plan to release BCH support first - which is sad).

Last time I checked their Telegram channel (a few days ago). I've seen someone which I assume is a developer saying that their next target would be LN and SegWit but It's hard to believe since the SPV update was supposed to come months ago too, but yeah, It's a little bit chaotic right now.
Samurai doesn't show up in my country in Play Store and Coinomi has smooth segwit solutions. Mycelium is working fine, although it hasn't implemented SegWit yet. But the fees are actually very low, so I keep it as my second wallet.
84  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SegWit wallets on: April 05, 2018, 07:59:56 PM
Coinomi is now a fully compatible SegWit wallet. After your update, you will need to go to receive tab and upgrade. You will then have the following[1] where you could choose between the three forms of addresses. Legacy (start with 1), Compatibility (with 3) and Default (start with bc1). Even though I'm not a great fan of Coinomi, this is a great update and I highly suggest everyone to start using the Default addresses.

[1]
I don't see a good alternative to coinomi for segwit addresses right now. I hope, mycelium will update some day to segwit, because its the best and securest android wallet in my opinion.
85  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Yobit scam exchange on: April 04, 2018, 10:04:44 PM
Okay, thanks
Your case seems to be resolved and there was no scam. Better lock this thread and add "solved" to the title.
Nevertheless don't trust any exchanger. Deposit only little amounts to exchangers and only amounts, you actually want to trade with.
I use several exchangers for different tasks. Yobit is good for selling exotic coins from ICO (if wallets work) or forks, that are not listed where else and withdraw well established coins. Support seems to be lack (fortunately I didn't need it yet), but no ID is needed, when only cryptocurrencies are to be withdrawn. So this exchanger has its advantages and disadvantages as all other exchangers, I think.
86  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How does cloud mining work? on: April 04, 2018, 09:44:23 PM
Actually I don't know any legit cloudminer anymore, but theoretically people "rent" hashpower of a mining farm and get mined cryptocurrencies minus maintance fees and other costs. There are also individuals and companies, which offer their hash on platforms (miningrigrental and nicehash). But I don't see profits as costs are higher than mining results.
87  Economy / Services / Re: [BOUNTIES FOR ESCROW BTC] EpigenCare Promo (0.4 BTC signature/1 BTC total/3 wks) on: March 28, 2018, 12:41:32 PM
Payment recieved. Many thanks to devs of epigenCare for a great campaign, Meepospammer for great management and escrow bL4nkcode  for quick payment.
88  Economy / Services / Re: Telegram Bot(free) shows the receipt of coins on the wallet! on: March 25, 2018, 12:40:30 AM
The bot looks handy and could be very useful and the interface is awesome. Great work.  I will try it out, when I expect ETH token. For Coinomi users its very useful, because the wallet doesn't show the tokens directly. Maybe you can also create bots for other currencies.
89  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What are the Bitcoin ATM limits in your country? on: March 25, 2018, 12:29:16 AM
-snip-

I also live in Europe, but our limits are on zero, because we don't have any ATM. One was for a test in Munich for a short time, but I only found out, as it was gone.
There seems to be an ATM in Vienna, that should provide two-way-exchanging. Sell and buy of Bitcoin. Did you use it already?

Indeed, there are no Bitcoin ATMs in Germany. I wonder why? Must be regulatory crap. Apparently there are 54 Bitcoin ATMs in/around Vienna: https://coinatmradar.com/city/178/bitcoin-atm-vienna/
Yes, many thanks. Looks, like there are many two-way-ATM or do I read it wrong? The coinatmradar is really useful as a friend will visit Austria these days, I will print him out the site. Maybe I can persuade him to have a short look, how the ATM work. Smiley I am also wondering, what regulations make it impossible to provide ATM in germany. One seem to be in Bonn for members of "Bitcoin Club Bonn", if it still exists. The regulatories of BaFin seem to be too strict
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hadron - AI Smartphone Mining on: March 24, 2018, 11:44:40 PM
I wouldn't mine with my phone, because the profits don't stand in any relation to the wear of the device. I use my phone for nearly everithing else like trading, holding wallets,  researching and private/business activities, so that I am more dependend on it than I would damage it for little profit.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: So many Bounty/ Airdrop, I don't know what to join in? on: March 24, 2018, 11:29:46 PM
There are many new Bounty/Airdrop program per day. Almost all ICO has bounty program
I am quite confused what project to join? how to choose the best one? (because we can join only 1 bounty at the same time)
What is your opinion?
There are several ways to find good bounty programs. I do a research on the project behind the ICO and its devs. But you will find out yourself in practising as you don't lose anything. So just pickup a bounty, which you think, you can and want follow its rules and which is represented by an experienced/trustable campaign manager.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Day trading on: March 24, 2018, 11:15:05 PM
OK - and what is the minimum $ amount needed to cover fees etc?
10$ in altcoin would be enough for daytrading. If you can make every day little profits, you will multiply your funds. If you loose, you only loose 10$. On most exchangers the min. trade is lower than 10$. Fees are around 0.025 and 5 %.
On daytrading you have fast moves, because you don't follow the main moves, but secondary and third moves/waves. Daytrading is like gambling and no indicator will give you a chance over 50% to take profits in opposite to middle- and longterm trading. So keep your funds as low as possible for daytrading.
93  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: investing in hyip sites? on: March 24, 2018, 10:04:59 PM
Fortunately hyipe sites are banned by many countries, for good reason. It is simply a criminal act to steal money from investors. Those sites scam at once or pay first investors with the money of new investors until they grabbed enough money to suddenly disappear. I would never invest into those schemes, not only because being worried about own funds, but also knowing, that possible profits are made from stolen money of later investors or refs.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Yobit blocked my account for using chat to promote my coin and froze my funds on: March 24, 2018, 09:38:43 PM
I think, exchangers have an eye on bumping dumping groups and ban all, who are involved in those illegal activities. Traders are cheated by orchestred pumps of coins, which go up and suddenly hit the ground and others, who baught those coins in good (naive) believe on chat reccommendations loose their money. Yobit seems actually also to ban devs, who dump their own coins. It is good, that they are preventing traders against cheaters, but it would be bad, if you accidentally came into their crossfire. If so, you maybe could explain to a chat mod via pm and ask him, if he can help you, if you didn't already.
95  Economy / Exchanges / Re: KRAKEN STOLE MY BITCOINS on: March 24, 2018, 06:09:02 AM
snip
To read a thread carefully does not only mean to read word for word, but also between the lines. When an exchanger first must ask, which amount was sent, then there is a high probability that a support ticket was sent without the necessary informations. And when they got an answer, as in OP indicated, then chances to get help go to zero.
It is probably his only chance (even though a low chance) to get back his funds, so why shouldn't he send a friendly proper support ticket with all needed infos? If it was my money, I would do first the most obvious, before giving up/thinking about other steps.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YEAR OF THE DOG ... and DOGE died ! on: March 23, 2018, 11:29:48 PM
What a pathetic thread for a little drop. Doge were at beginning of last year on 0.000018 $ and are actually still on 0.0035 $. I never believed in the "Year of Doge" as boost for doge as it makes no sense in relation to that cryptocurrency, unless dogecoin holders would contribute to animal rescue. Animal rescue would give dogecoin a boost with meaningful project in the "Year of Doge".   Else the usability of that coin is in its stable network, so that funds can be transfered cheap and fast.
97  Economy / Exchanges / Re: KRAKEN STOLE MY BITCOINS on: March 23, 2018, 11:01:16 PM
Kraken is the only one, which can help you. Maybe try a new ticket,  with needed informations:
-Amount of Bitcoin, you sent.
-Transactions ID
-Bitcoin address, from where you sent
-USDT (Tether) recieving address
and ask them once more to resolve your issue.
I wish you much luck, that they will help you. Tell them friendly your situation. They needn't help you, as it was your own mistake, not theirs. But maybe they find a way, to solve your issue without much effort.
Meanwhile you could look here in forum around on beginners & help section

Thank you ZOCADAS, I will try do that! But, Why you said they are only one who can help me?  Im Computer engineer but new in Bitcoin, Technically do you know why only they can help?

Thank you

Because they're the only ones who has an access to their users private keys which is necessary in order to retrieve your mistakenly sent coins
Yes, Kraken owns the address, where you sent your Bitcoin. They have access to the private key.
Bitcoin and Tether have the same addresses. So the owner ( the one, who owns the private key and that is Kraken) can import the Tether address to a Bitcoin wallet with the private key and the Bitcoin appear.
The best chance to get help by Kraken is to provide all needed data to simplify their work.

Yes, we already came to the conclusion
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3168534.msg32933068#msg32933068
Cryptopia should make a notification, that they got cracked and that not only a few accounts are compromised.
