They are trying to carry out on a different path than all these coins with investments from big banks and backroom deals between billionaires and mining pool operators.
Monero will focus on the developing the code for a good coin. Anyone who doesn't like the vision can choose not to participate.
Monero does not need a "public face". Why do you think Satoshi Nakamoto used an alias?
The code is what will stand the test of time, not some corporate spokesman.
