Yes, NRS and NRB have been merged into one. We had a failed launch in september and are now looking into a relaunch.

Apart from merged mining, there are other developments of similar lucrative partnerships arising from the dev group i joined (circle)

Quick history of circle-- the majority of us have crypto-coins and came together to try and learn new material from each other and explore other area of use for BCT. Recently we agreed to put our skills to use which is why i have returned, i spend less time online but will get work done.

Here's a list of what is going on.

1) PoS adaptation. I have seen the multi algo PoS and PoSII that some people have implemented and have already decided on how to work it out.
2) Codebases -- if you always check your source code, you'll find that most coins have been cloned from the same sources with little advancement, ie , most coins are using late 2012 , early 2013 code. I am trying to port the standard PoS to the very latest BTC codebase, and working through some incompatibilities as i go. This is to ensure that any merged mining goes smoothly as well as allowing us to be able (when there is a reference implementation) to do cross-chain trading with BTC and any other coins based on later code bases.

As long as you have keys that existed in the old chain then your funds are safe, you do not need the wallet to sync to export your private keys.

I am not mixing my responsibilities with their coin. What we are simply doing is creating a merged mining scenario.

this means that as you earn more NRS you are earning BCR. I am negotiating a seat at the table with Minato and we shall see how it goes.

BCR dev contacted me and made a strong case for merged mining. It seems they are using the very tip of bitcoin code i am not sure if it can be done but i am willing to try. It takes the pressure off us to keep the chain moving, and their ideas would breathe fresh life into our own project here. He said he would get back to me tonight after consultations.

the unvarnished truth is that the first attempt was a failure. So, i have been working on coming up with a new idea. Let's not get excited and end up being a shitcoin, there is no rush in development, last time i rushed, look where we are now.

since there are no active nodes, the network is just me for now until someone else decides to join.

There have been complaints about the exclusion of PoS, i think that was a huge blunder on my part. I am working on stake , and also since the changes to moentum didn't stick, we'll move to Fresh.

1) Windows will never be secure. Bitcoin is secure and cross platform, any alt that maintains the most basic rules follows.
2) Security of Bitcvoin vs these things of yours is actually 1 000 000  times grater if not more

Quite right, 2 days and i generated ~50 million addresses using a single machine (still haven't imported them) now, with 1000 machines that would be 25 billion addresses a day, 10k computers would make that 250 billion address a day. 250 000 000 000 is still very minute in regard tthe total  ? 2^96 , but we must always remember that number is a theoretical limit. there is no guarantee that if we  could, we would end up with the exact number or anything remotely in the range. As the number passes a certain mark , it becomes more likely that a collision will occur. And the more we keep going the higher the frequency of collisions because address generation is not a straight line.

Don't get me wrong, you have a higher chance of winning the lottery 5 times than you do getting a collision, but i think that the exaggeration of  terms needs to stop. We are talking about general purpose CPUs and trying to use their capabilities as a metric to measure what we can do, which is wrong because maybe soon, someone is going to go for that Vanity ASIC which as you know has the potential to really change the game by massive magnitudes.

Every PoS coin is being cloned from a clone of a clone. Most PoS coins are still based on code from late 2012 up to mid 2013, only a few are late 2013 and maybe 1 or two 2014.

Noone has tried to update the source to level with bitcoin, except Balthazzar on the novacoin unstable branch, and even that is still very behind.

@ hack_ noirshares 2.0 is no longer cpu only, someone figured out gpu mining and has been doing it quietly.

momentum has the issue of closed source miners, if you can pass that hurdle, you are home free.

yes, i think there is a closed source gpu miner out there and whoever is using it is not sharing.

i have much experience and ideas, but none of that can be applied with this kind of community. people cant even take a minute to send an email or pm to exchanges to show their support, yet they expect me to use time and resources to get it done for them along with marketing and developing. Instead of complaints, send an email to your exchanges of choice and tell them tolist/update to nrs 2.0.
