Eu desde o começo dessa pernada de alta achei o mercado muito exagerado, uma empolgação que não podia durar muito tempo, tivemos o preço ultrapassando um pouco a ATH anterior antes mesmo do halving, isso nem era pra ter acontecido tão cedo, agora o mercado está sentindo com a realização de lucros e uma hora essa correção iria chegar, não sabemos se irá corrigir mais, porém eu acredito que sim.

Eu sempre fui contra grandes empresas comprarem Bitcoin, por que? Isso faz aumentar muito o preço e em relação a moedas fiats, vamos pagar mais caro em taxas com os satoshis que antes custavam R$ 5 de taxa do minerador, agora custa R$15, depois 30 e assim por diante, inviabilizando muito o Bitcoin como meio de pagamento. Eu acho que o Bitcoin ainda não está pronto pra receber todo esse capital, deixem os desenvolvedores chegarem a um consenso técnico de como resolver (e se tem como resolver) essas questões da mempool, resolver de alguma forma trazendo uma solução definitiva ou mais de uma solução para a escabilidade do Bitcoin como dinheiro. Atualmente o Bitcoin está se tornando uma reserva de valor e isso é bom e quase que já sabíamos que isso iria acontecer, porém esses caras só vê o nosso bitcoin como um ativo especulativo e não olham para os casos de usos dele, indo contra a visão de Satoshi.

I'm glad you understood the importance of choosing a full node and not depending on third-party servers to validate your transactions. I've been using Bitcoin Core since 2017 and I think it's the ideal wallet for Bitcoin due to the multitude of features and control.

Your wallet is so secure as your computer, so take care of the security of your computer, it'd be ideal if you had a notebook just for this and/or a Linux partition just to manage the bitcoin core wallet, to protect the majority of your funds, you can use an air gapped offline computer where you use one to sign transactions (it would be in the offline machine) and the signed transaction would be broadcasted on the online machine, so if you don't know this yet, I recommend doing a lot of research on how to do this the way correct.

Encrypt your wallet with a strong password and make backups, bitcoin core allows you to export your wallet and it is encrypted with your password, therefore, I advise you to create a password between 16 - 20 characters and make sure you don't forget/lose this password. Use complex passwords containing letters, numbers and some characters, do not use well-known phrases or song lyrics as your password, as this is not recommended.

I had already understood this and always knew it.

The seed phrase is encrypted in the keystore of the aforementioned wallets with the password chosen by the user. Why is this getting off topic since I suggested a viable and secure alternative of encrypting the file containing the electrum wallet, sparrow etc? Using these as an additional alternative (one thing does not exclude the other, you can opt for both) backup and not only write down 12 readable words that anyone with access to this could see and try to import to steal the funds (if the funds don't are allocated in a hidden wallet generated by the BIP39 passphrase).

Encrypted keystore files you can save digitally and can use them to recover as well while the wallet seed phrase should not be stored digitally.

Keystores are very easy to replicate, facilitating the backup process and saving to pen drives in geographically different and distant locations.

Of course, we must always keep a physical copy of the seed phrase written down on paper, steel plates, etc. As I said, one thing does not exclude the other. However, it varies depending on each person's paranoia, if the person is afraid of having their funds stolen, they can use the BIP-39 passphrase and the method I mentioned in this topic: encrypted backups (in the same way as the wallet backup works bitcoin core, electrum, etc.).

Sobre a estratégia de usar papel pra carregar dados legíveis (seed), isso pode fazer sentido, claro, se você não der o azar de quem tiver fazendo uma inspeção e saber o que é uma seed, se a pessoa for maliciosa ou você adentrar em terrítório onde as criptomoedas são proíbidas ou possuem leis rígidas sobre criptomoedas, o governo pode querer uma parte dos seus bitcoins rsrs. A menos que você diga que está estudando inglês e está usando técnicas de memorização de mnemônicas rsrs.

Em casos catastróficos como esse, seria ideal manter os fundos sob sigilo através de técnicas de negação plausível (como  a BIP39 passphrase), onde teoricamente, é impossível pra qualquer pessoa saber que aquela seed possui uns fundos protegidos por uma passphrase.

Existem milhares de formas de andar por aí com bitcoins sob técnicas de negação plausível como esteganografia. Aí entramos num iceberg, onde cada vez mais fundo se tornam mais complexas as formas de proteger o seu BTC ou "negar" a existência deles pra agentes maliciosos.

That's a great suggestion, I hadn't thought of that, although there are solutions on github that do something similar to what you suggested, but it's an open source third-party tool and you should analyze the code or trust whoever analyzed the code for you.

In multibit classic there was something similar, but it was not a deterministic wallet yet, so to export the wallet's private keys, you would have to encrypt the file to be exported with a password and you could decrypt it with openssl with encryption algorithm aes-256-cbc.

Regarding the tool I suggested in the link, I just did some tests with newly generated seeds that I wouldn't use as main wallets, so I can't guarantee if it's a minimally safe tool. Run your own tests.

Ontem o irã fez o primeiro ataque com drones e mísseis em israel, se a situação ficar ainda mais tensa, podemos esperar alvos como 50K ou até menos como 40K para o Btc.

Essa com certeza, foi uma das maiores liquidações do ano até agora, quem estava esperando por promoções, um spotizinho seria maroto agora para ver bons pontos de entradas tanto no BTC quanto nas alts, mas eu acho que não é momento para pensar em entradas de alts agora, mas o BTC com certeza.

Rapaz, a última vez que testei a Lightning Network na ELectrum foi via testnet em 2020, nunca mais testei. Nunca testei a Lightning na Electrum, pois não tem muito tutorial por aí (embora tenha um tutorial aqui na aba português que acho que foi o sabotag3x que fez ACHEI), talvez seja a hora de testar pra ver como está.

Uma vez eu baixei o app Breez para iOS, abri um canal por lá e usei por um bom tempo, porém você tem que sempre abrir o aplicativo senão fecha o canal, e eu fiquei meses sem abrir e fechou o canal, porém os meus satoshis desapareceram, não consigo retirar eles e o saldo sequer aparece. Quando eu estiver no celular eu mando print. Mas por enquanto, eu dou como perdido esses satoshis. Acho que a lightining tem muito o que evoluir ainda.

Não aguento mais, um dia to rico outro dia to pobre, está uma montanha russa. Seria bom se o preço voltasse para os 50K ou até menos, pois comprar bitcoin com desconto é bom demais.

Esse manager é muito legal mesmo, eu já participei em uma campanha dele da Eloncoin, eu gostei muito da experiência. Espero trabalhar com ele mais vezes. Caso não seja possível @Tg88 veja se ele pode te colocar na campanha da Eloncoin também gerida por ele. Tem saído gente dessa campanha.

Quando eu pagava o pacote office família, o windows sincronizava tudo que estava salvo na pasta documentos, imagens, vídeos e etc.
Geralmente eu só instalo os aplicativos necessários para o computador, e quando instalo alguma coisa por fora, verifico a assinatura gpg (como no caso das carteiras bitcoin), já no linux é a mesma coisa, verifico tudo que eu tô instalando. Nunca mais peguei nenhum vírus sequer.

Eu sei que essa prática não garante 100%, mas já reduz muito as chances de pegar malware. Ah e sequer uso antivirus no computador faz anos, eu pagava a versão premium do MalwareBytes, muito bom pra quem não tem muita confiança de que segue boas práticas. Mas se você for um cara que sabe o que faz, não sai instalando porcarias, jogos craqueados e etc, você nem precisa de um antivírus pago para o Windows, pois o Microsoft Defender já é um bom antivirus nativo também.

Eu também não uso carteiras no Windows já tem anos, desde 2018, tudo em relação as carteiras eu uso só no Linux, no máximo uma hardware wallet.

Eu não sabia que esse tópico ia criar uma boa discussão, por isso que eu gosto demais desse forum e de vocês pessoal.

I've mentioned that the wallet options that I mentioned in my post have an option to export the wallet in file format (keyfile), in this file all private data such as private keys, xprivs and some containing the initial phrase and metadata wallet are stored such as labels, addresses, etc.

1. The bitcoin core wallet exports this keyfile as the official form of backup, you can export the descriptors via the console if you want. The keyfile is encrypted with the password the user chooses when encrypting the wallet.

2. Sparrow wallet, the exported keyfile is protected by the wallet access password, the same case as the core.

3. Electrum = same case as Bitcoin core and Sparrow.

4. Bitcoin wallet for android (schildbatch wallet) exports the backup file, but first the user must choose a password, the exported file can be protected by a PIN or not and can be decrypted via the openSSL Linux terminal, but if it has been encrypted also with a PIN, you must use bitcoinj's Wallet-tools.

Olha só, caramba quanto vírus   Eu não tenho conta no hotmail (vacilei na época, quando ainda existia o hotmail, eu só criei conta no gmail). Tenho o outlook. Dificilmente acesso o OneDrive pra baixar coisas dele.

Esses arquivos que você tinha era do hotmail ou do Onedrive? Ou são tudo vírus desde a época do hotmail? E o que esses vírus fazem? Não são vírus de roubar bitcoins não, neh? Como aquele do hijacking clipboad que eu relatei quando eu ainda era newbie.

- Reinstalei o Veracrypt, só que desta vez usando o exe, e deu o mesmo problema, vou tentar no linux quando eu animar.
