The bible code you are describing is a silly little distraction from the really interesting stuff.

The death penalty? Life in prison? For running a piece of software that does nothing but solve maths?

Think positively.

Drink green tea. Pretend you're on a calm beach.

Attempting to stop bitcoin mining would be more futile than herding cats.
cheers. . But how. .

You'd have to declare martial law and have every computing device open to search and seizure.

Smoothie, if there was someone who knew what was going to happen for sure, they WOULD NOT TELL A SOUL. Unless of course they didn't think they'd turn out to be right.

Tell me Smoothie, do you doubt yourself?
812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins are not coins at all on: December 02, 2012, 02:21:56 AM
One definition of coin is simply: money.

So its not ironic really.

813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I even mining LTC? on: December 01, 2012, 02:00:40 AM
I have 40 times your hashrate & don't solo mine. You might as well pool mine. Coinotron.com is a good place to start. Like crazyearner says, cgminer is best.

At your hashrate you could mine a block solo.... in a month . 50 LTC is only about $4 and some cents.

Hey buddy where are you?

I need another item: 1x Dual PSU Adapter.

I'll make it 3 bitcoins total for all the parts I mentioned. Do we have a deal?
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Foundation succeed lobbying Valve to use Bitcoin as ingame currency? on: November 30, 2012, 02:25:55 PM
Varoufakis seemed skeptical, so I'm pretty sure Valve is not going to be using bitcoin.

That was then. After the Wordpress announcement, I'd bet on Valve making serious reconsideration.
816  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Garage Cleanout - CPUs, Motherboards, Risers, Fans, Router, Steam Games, etc... on: November 29, 2012, 05:56:09 AM
I might take:

- 2x Powered 16x --> 16x
- 2x Powered 16x --> 1x

My offer is 2.5 bitcoin.

I'll pay a shipping fee if its reasonable. I'm in Canada.

Not 100% sure If i need these, will know tomorrow.

*EDIT. Its a go. I PM'd you.

818  Other / Off-topic / Re: If someone could give me a motorcycle on: November 25, 2012, 11:56:56 AM
If we could get up enough speed, the bike could attain enough velocity and altitude to make it all the way across the ocean.

Obviously it would need to be a stratospheric shot with initial velocity approaching mach 10. Challenges:

1. fireball-scale air friction
2. high-altitude breathing and pressure suit
3. launch acceleration impact on rider
4. guidance system
5. landing

Could we do it with 1,000,000 bitcoin budget?

They should build an android/iOS app. I'd play more often on my Nexus 7 if it was available.
