801  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [03-13-2015] Business Insider: 21 Coming... on: March 15, 2015, 01:46:46 AM
They didn't reveal much. We know who's involved and how much money they have but that's basically it. I just hope it's not another exchange...
According to the article the goal is mainstream Bitcoin, maybe it's going to be some kind of payment integration system that will make it easier for the businesses to accept payments in crypto.
802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is this bad or good news? on: March 14, 2015, 07:29:41 PM
You can't simply make something new and be sure it will replace the old thing. They are forgetting one important thing: the community.
Just like Dogecoin isn't anything innovative or groundbreaking, but it is supported and on the other hand the "government's innovations" are not.

snip.... i'm just a sore loser

Let me guess, your alt coins venture failed miserably so now you're being a hater in here? Get the fck back to your altcoin forum, dumb ass

Haha he's so salty Cheesy

The community. Hahahahaha sorry that's a good one. So you think .000001 % or less of the world population will drive a new global currency.
(...)
People need to wake the fuck up on this forum.

Because there's no other way for Bitcoin, global currency or death, right? Omg the government will make its own world currency and force everyone to abandon Bitcoin! Cheesy
You should wake up if you think world will ever accept a global currency in the form of Bitcoin or any other.
803  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Games Player vs Player on: March 14, 2015, 07:13:51 PM
I actually like all pvp games until and unless they are fair and mainly i would like to see games like chess, etc !
I think it was discussed before. Simple strategy games like chess would attract cheaters that would quickly find a way to make a software like chessmaster calculate moves for them.
You'd need to have some sort of anti cheat software and constantly update it so it doesn't get cracked. For example CSGO has active software but they still need people to watch the replays and ban people manually because the software just can't cut it by itself.
804  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: KnC Cloud Mining - it's a bust... on: March 14, 2015, 07:03:54 PM
Don't fucking do it

Knc is a fraud

if i had read this post before paying them ... i might be avoided from being robbed 250$ to knc cloud mining ........ now they are TIPING me from 0.11 to 0.50 $ a day .......  Cry  and i have to bear it for next 4 months ...  JESUS HELP ME

Never mine, just hodl

You're wrong. Mine, just do the math first.
To hodl you have to own coins first and mining does the job. There's just a big difference between mining with your hardware and in fake cloud operated by thieves.
Those who bought last year in q1 - q3 will surely disagree with the hodl advice Wink
805  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 14, 2015, 03:48:44 AM
Not sure why a redundant and markedly less adopted coin like LTC would be a factor in the above analysis.

You're not the only one. I know altcoins tend to follow Bitcoin and mimic its movements, but Sitarow tries to predict its price from the other side, by looking at the altcoins  Roll Eyes
It's likely that some traders are moving money between the coins and investing in the ones that are pumping, but I don't think the number of such traders is large enough to dictate price.
806  Economy / Economics / Re: Greece now targets tax evaders! next step cyprus style! on: March 14, 2015, 12:42:12 AM
Anyway, rising taxes or fighting tax evasion will have the same outcome: less money for consumption. Fewer goods will be sold, and income from VAT will fall. Greece is possibly doomed. The risk is that they might look at Russia or China for help. The Greeks would then learn the hard way that nothing is free.

The main problem is Greeks are not the only ones with a dying economy. Look what's going on in Spain for instance and it's even worse in the countries with high migration rates like Romania or Poland.
These countries are basically fighting the decreasing income (due to decreasing population and high unemployment) by increasing taxes. It won't work for long Wink
807  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Gebbit | DO NOT USE - SCAM - NO ID on: March 13, 2015, 11:14:14 PM
I heard Gebbit had only one user so what did the hackers expect to gain? Even if the hack really happened, and I doubt that, there wasn't much to be stolen.
Calling them a scam is a bit harsh because they were paying you for some time, just refused the last payment, am I right?
808  Economy / Economics / Re: How would a world with BTC as reserve currency look like? on: March 13, 2015, 10:49:31 PM
- What would need to change for this to happen?

Greedy bankers and politicians would have to change. They all come from a different era (look at what Buffet is saying) and old farts like that don't change easily.

- What would change once it actually is used for it?

Bitcoin would go through the roof and we'd all gain much from it.

- What would be the benefits of this?

Banks would lose a lot of control and would have much less to say and couldn't blackmail whole countries anymore, taking advantage of the ones in debt.

- What would be the downside of this?

Who knows, maybe it would destabilize some economies. I'm sure not all countries would finally accept it. The world rarely agrees on something (think Russia vs USA).
809  Economy / Gambling / Re: cryptocoins-dice.com vanished on: March 13, 2015, 10:10:38 PM
What happens ?
He locked his thread too , https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=929949.0
Last visit on ripple forum about 3 hours ago.

If he took down the site without warning and locked the thread, what's going on is obvious. He's running with the money, probably the site was getting less and less income and he decided to snatch the deposits.
Omahapoker's withdrawal probably was one of a few done in the recent days and the owner did his math Wink
810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Block chain technology for USD/Euro/Etc being developed by IBM and central banks on: March 13, 2015, 09:40:38 PM
This was to be expected as the banking system relies on full control. As the Cyprus crisis has shown us when we keep the money in the bank we not only have to worry about the economic aspects like inflation but also the bankers themselves, who in cooperation with the government can seize our funds. They can't do it with bitcoin and it bothers them. None of the current Bitcoin users is going to buy into their centralized shit.

812  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-03-13] Video Fox News: JPMorgan’s Blythe Masters bets on bitcoin on: March 13, 2015, 08:43:04 PM
Smart woman, she knows that one should think outside the box.
What I didn't like is the guy comparing it to fool's gold. You have to be dumb to come up with such stupid point when talking about Bitcoin. Fools gold was worthless because it was fake, looked like the real thing but was something else. Bitcoin doesn't emulate anything or mislead people into thinking it can be worth something. It already is worth something and it is being used - fool's gold never made it that far.
813  Economy / Speculation / Re: 666$ Coming Soon! [PROOF] on: March 13, 2015, 01:43:47 AM
First I read $350 by Sunday and now this. We are getting exponentially positive Cheesy
If you prove to be right we should all chip in and get you a bottle of some fine liquor.

814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much BTC have you gambled? (anonymous on: March 13, 2015, 01:26:03 AM
Wagered maybe 0.3 btc tops. I usually play small bets and manage to win more than I lose, so I'm around 0.05 on the positive side.

I also never try to get back at the game, just take a loss and move elsewhere. Play small, lose small guys Wink
815  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BitCrane T-110S for $614! on: March 13, 2015, 01:19:44 AM
Not much love for Bitcrane around here... Don't own one but was looking at them and just decided to grab an S2 for only $300.
And there won't be much, because you can clearly see what they had in mind when they designed these. A pretty desktop mining gadget that you'll have running your room.
It looks nice with that etching and colours and is quiet with built in WC, sadly all these things increase the production cost.
816  Economy / Goods / Re: PexPeppers Sauces, Seeds, and More IS BACK! on: March 12, 2015, 08:07:45 PM
That's what you can call a hot sale.
Is this only for US or international? I remember you used to promote XPY, what happened to that?
817  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-03-12] Winner Of 27K Bitcoins Purchased At USMS Auction Revealed on: March 12, 2015, 07:36:14 PM
So the bidders were buying for a group of people, this has happened before and was to be expected.
Part of the sum was immediately moved to Bitfinex - again nothing new, at least some of these people must be traders. With a sum this big you can make a ton of money even on small <$10 movements.
818  Economy / Economics / Re: EUR might drop below USD on: March 12, 2015, 07:27:20 PM
EUR is bleeding out faster than I thought.  It's like free btc.
That's what you get when you start giving it away for free. The Union threw its precious Euro into a number of black holes like Greece and Cyprus and now people are arguing that these countries would be prospering better without it. Soon Britain will be congratulating itself as GBP is doing great compared to EUR.

what was the result of EUR donation to Greece? as far as I know it didn't help a bit and Greece is still living on the edge of extinction.

as to GBP exchange rate - Britain indeed did a good job keeping it's exchange rate above all else, they are not depending on EUR in any way and this is playing for them.

The result was Greek government spending the money on campaigns and raising salaries. Imagine your wife is a shopaholic and is in debt and you give her money, what will happen? Cheesy
In a way Britain still depends on EUR, because they gave money to the Union, even if these were GBP, which means the countries that owe something to the EU are also indirectly Britain's debtors.
819  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What's more lucrative - mining or high rank signature campaign? on: March 12, 2015, 03:11:56 AM
I would agree 2 BTC a month would be a ton at this point per month.  I'm sure there are a select number getting it or higher but very very few.

Most have a limit much lower on pay.
I really doubt anybody is making 2BTC a month from a sig campaign. Maybe if you're posting in it and running it at the same time, or if you have 10 alts and are squeezing posts 24/7, but some people tried that and got bans on all their accounts. I read about a guy who was making like over over 100 posts a month for PD but got banned after a month or two.

At the moment if you're making over 1BTC a month you're probably spamming the shit out of this forum  Grin

820  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Miners on gas or exercise? on: March 12, 2015, 02:59:32 AM
First of all the generator will have an initial cost of purchase and then running and maintenance. Not many generators are fit for constant running, so a typical cheap stuff won't cut it you'll need an industrial or military grade gear. What is more a small generator with low wattage will be much less efficient than a big one, so buying it for a small mining farm is a waste of cash.
There are special kits that allow you to use propane as fuel. If you really have to use a generator buy this kit, it's much cheaper.
