805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Site for Bidding on Coins? on: June 10, 2013, 10:38:27 PM
Just curious if anyone is working on a site like ebay but just for BTC,LTC and every other alt coin wanting to be sold? Seems like it would do well or would that basically just be an online exchange? It could be called "BitBay"

Just a thought Smiley

It would just be an exchange but would have pictures and descriptions.(not needed)

Only additional difference is the currency would all be paired to fiat like US dollars. (If like EBay)

811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 7950 concurrency problem on: June 10, 2013, 12:22:11 AM
Could be memory or driver.  If you install new driver you will need to completely remove old one.  ATIMan is one of the few utilities that does a complete job of removing ati drivers thoroughly.  AMD uninstall utility does not always work (didn't for me). It leaves orphans. ATIMan does take a long time however and it may be easier to reinstall OS.  You can google ATIman for more info.

Did you move from windows 64 machine to a 32 machine?

yes. should I install 64bit?

The problem occurs only on scrypt mining when concurrency is required.

Now I set integrated as main graphics but problem is still there

With win 32 you can't go as high.  Start at 8192 and ad 2048 increments.  I use 14336 on my windows 32 machine and can get 650khs when litecoin mining.  Or you could install 64.  Up to you.

downloading 64 right now

Probably best choice.

if we want to reduce clutter then

THIS IS THE WRONG AREA OF THE BOARDS FOR YOUR ISSUE.

7950's are NOT an alternative crypto currency!

moderator move the thread.

fucksakes.

if you are going to abuse the forums, you deserve to be penalized. this is why you were made to wait 4 hrs and post a bunch before you were given permission. there's some responsibility involved you know.

If he is using KHS it is an alt currency issue.  And this is where the mods have been pushing these type of questions dipshit.  Read the forums a little more.  And quit spouting off your fat lips.

Dont see anythign about KHS in his post, but i guess we're about to find out.

Here I'll help you....this is from the first paragraph.....

I used to mine with cgminer  sapphire 7950 3GB with boost usng scrypt. With the settings below card could get about 650 kH/s

If you don't agree with policy bring it up with John K, because he is the one that has been moving them if they are not bitcoin related.

818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nexus phone death and buying stuff F2F on: June 08, 2013, 06:01:58 AM
I was looking into getting a Nexus 4 to run Bitcoin Wallet. I found that there seems to be an issue with the phone where even new phones can simply die outright, which was disappointing as I was hoping to try a phone experience other than iPhone solely for bitcoin-related reasons.
http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/mobile/eREo__Lhuwg[1-25-false]

It made me wonder about anyone who might have transferred some bitcoins to his phone only to have it die and need to be reformatted/returned, yadda. The point here isn't to slam Nexus -- there are other phones and any of them could die.

I suppose I'm wondering about other people's experiences with buying stuff offline with bitcoins face to face. I assume even on iPhone I could get to an online wallet via Safari but I'm wondering how cumbersome it'll be to have to deal with passwords in that scenario.

No idea what issue you are talking about with Nexus 4???  I have a nexus 4 rooted (running xylon and franco kernel) and it is a stellar phone.  I can match it pretty much against any phone (even s4).  I also have bitcoin apps & widgets installed.  Haven't installed a wallet on it, but would have no hesitation.  Not sure where you are getting your info.  XDA forums have excellent resources to help you with your potential Nexus or any other phone.

Edit...was able to get the broken link you posted working.  Most of the people on the google forum didn't know what they were talking about.  Holding down power key for 10sec will give you a full reset.  Some also were upgrading to new 4.2.2 OS.  Regardless, I am sure if you got a defective unit google would replace it.  Also make sure you always do a backup regardless of what device you have.  I use titanium backup pro.

In the strictest sense it doesn't but bitcoin was intended, at least partially, as a way to restrict government intervention (granted in currency rather than security) but they both relate to how the government treats the privacy of individuals. Its a tenuous relation at best but I will take it  Cool

This is more of a US social (or political) topic and probably belongs in that area.  Bitcoin does not even relate to this. Not everyone is a US citizen.  That's why I raised the question.

But here is my two cents....screw the FBI!  Smiley
820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FBI wants backdoor to all software on: June 06, 2013, 11:55:18 PM
Does this really belong in the bitcoin thread when it has zero to do with bitcoins?  Just saying....
