RIP Occupy Wall Street. Sad that Americans have their priorities all fkd up.  Vast majority of Americans firmly convinced that politicians are most powerful actors, they're the ones who make all kinds of rules and regulations, while poor bankers can't do much, except just follow so many regulations, made up by all-powerful politicians. So millions are angry at Republicans, millions are angry at Democrats, and only a few are angry at bankers. During "Occupy Wall Street" time I saw countless people arguing "why Wall Street? they should go occupy White House and Congress!" Sigh. |

Those are the years with halvings.
Prices were too different. In 2018, 2019, 2020 we're still in the same price area for some reason. Well, I guess I could do "4 year shift, plus 16x price shift" thing... to compare 2019-2020 with 2015-2016. |

I am pretty sure that the picture is much different if you take a longer time horizon and then you start them out at the same place on that longer time horizon.
In other words, it is not worth it to beat yourself up over either BTC's underperformance or correlation with stocks on the short term... even though it is still interesting to see, it is not reflective of the BIGGER picture, either in terms of from where bitcoin has come or where it is likely to go - relative to stocks.
Yeah, at the previuos graph (the one with the gold) the starting point was January 2019, and clearly there was no correllation in 2019. |

Now, let me explain to all of you why the Swedish government is not closing down society and quarantining people/closing of areas.
This is a little known fact outside Sweden, and it rarely comes up in the debate.
Neither the Swedish government nor the Swedish parliament has the authority to do that.
The Swedish constitution guarantees all citizens the right to free movement in peacetime, no exceptions but one, people with a dangerous contagious disease can be forcefully quarantined according to the contagious disease act. But that only applies to specific individuals.
And there is no such thing as marshal law in Sweden, not allowed by the constitution.
So, no matter how much people or other countries bitch about Swedens way of handling the crisis, nothing is going to change.
You can change the constitution, but that reacquires two parliament votes with one general election in between.
We might se a change in the wording in the constitution from just "wartime" to "war and pandemics" or something like that, but no such change has been suggested yet.
