Pre Orders have been going smoothly and we are well on our way to complete batch 1. Please note. orders started at #4xxx. Just because your order is at 5000 does not mean you are 5000 in the queue. There will also be various unpaid orders in between, so order number is not an exact representation of your place in the order queue. Order number does NOT mean a place in the queue till payment is made.

We are giving a grace period for uncleared Paypal payments, and Bank Transfers. If orders are paid in a satisfactory time you are placed in the queue based on your order number, we will give a grace period of a number of days for bank transfers and delayed Paypal payments to clear, if batch 1 closes, you will still have this grace period. This does not apply to Bitcoin payments as they should be instant. The team has been responding to emails very quickly, and any order problems are being resolved. Paid an order by mistake? We are offering full refunds during the pre order phase.

If your payment has been fully cleared by Paypal or BitPay, and your status is still showing as ‘On-Hold’, email us at the below email address. Bank Transfer orders will automatically update to ‘Processing’ upon receipt of your payment.

https://alpha-t.net/news/pre-order-update/

Supposedly they are on their way to complete batch 1 but they don't mention how many units, they also say that they have been responding to emails quickly but they are not responding to the emails of some posters in this thread.

Red flags keep raising for this

That's a pretty quick change of heart -- do you know something the rest of us don't?
Sometimes it's just that gut feeling .... at least I got my refund back. I will wait for version 2 perhaps. See if they truly come through first. In the meantime I will gpu mine. Plus there is another company that was advertising a 25 mh/s for 800 gbp I believe...

you requested and received a refund from alpha tech?

Yes, I contacted them via email on Monday and they refunded via PayPal the same day.

interesting thankyou.

i contacted them on Sunday & Monday & Tuesday.... No Reply!

804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LAUNCH] [YUM] BaconBits - A coin so good you'll want to eat it! on: January 07, 2014, 10:26:53 PM
I just started getting into crypto currencies and have been on the forum for around a month and it seems every single thread I go to someone is screaming scam . I pay no attention to these claims why can't these people who feel they are being scammed just move on? It's really annoying I feel like I joined a community full of little crybaby kids.

Ok little idiot, explain this:

OP said that the premine was for promotions and giveaways, so far he has given away 10,000 on 100 ammounts (and one got 1000):

http://abe.altexplorer.net/tx/4e4b882b8e78c397d79fb6e6403d693131b45c55b82a8f32267fa284b299ed45#i0

but the premine wallet only has 414500 BacoinBits remaining:

http://abe.altexplorer.net/address/GTaofpHsCf8WZavHFzU4nYTNSMfbecp5Qc

450,000 - 10,000 = 440,000
440,000 - 414,500 = 25,500

The creator gave away 10,000 to the community which is 2.2%
And 25,500 to unknown people which is 5.7%

So someone got 2.5x of the amount of the total giveaway so far

you're the most whiny bitch i've ever seen. Your time of the month, nurse Ratchet? Your mother probably regrets not sticking a coat hangar up her cunt.

Either way. The coin hasn't even been out for 24 hrs and your complaining about the percentage of premined he's given out? You petty fuck. Kill yourself.

So you can't explain that and you are ok with the OP premining the shit out of it with the excuse of giveaways, then when I show evidence that proves that OP is full of chit you go on a psychotic rant on how I should kill myself.

LOL, keep crying about your worthless YUM.

Fair launch my ass. Every normal block rewards 30 bacoins, and the coin author instamined the first block that is equivalent to 15,000 normal blocks:

At the moment of this post 5435 blocks have been mined = 163,050 coins, and the creator already has 3x that ammount from the instamine = 450,000

I dont know about what kind of math you use in whatever country you live in. but 1% of 30,000,000 is only 300,000 coins, not 450,000 and as far as the bettercoin pool being a scam? I have been using it since launch and having zero problems at all. You people need to learn how this stuff works and stfu. I'm actualy embarrassed by some of the posts in this thread.

I am happy that you had zero problems. I was just relaying my user experience with the hopes that things might be done a little better next time so I will not stfu thank you.  Banned workers, disconnects and unresponsive front ends are not how 'stuff works'.

The guy you are responding to is a sock puppet account:

I'm a sock puppet account am I? Come on into irc.freenode.net  #coinworld , my name on there is Rawdawg, or you can go to #digitalcoin and ask me if im a sock puppet. everyone in that community knows me. Raminnoodle is in here as well and can awnser questions when you need them awnsered. I just happen to believe in the dude, hes smart and a good dev. Don't call me a sock puppet just because you cant seem to muster up enough brains to get a miner working on a pool.

Such brave, you are not fooling anyone.

I will keep exposing this scam so you and your hero dev are unable to dump the premine and the coins they stole from the pool Grin

So im assuming you call every coin that did a 1% mine for bounties and rewards a scam huh.

Grasping at straws now? you must be desperate.

You thought you could make a coin and fool everyone into giving you 450MH/s for 20 days for free?

LOL

Right now creator holds 3/4 of all the mined coins, and the difficulty keeps going up, block target is now 2 minutes.

Even if the difficulty stayed like it is right now finding a block every 2 minutes, it would take the network 20 days do catch up with you.

1440 minutes/day
1 block every 2 min = 1440/2 = 720 blocks a day
720 blocks a day * 30 = 21,600
450,000 / 21,600 = 20.83 days for the whole network to mine 450k bacoins at current difficulty.

And Bettercoin promised to check and post my user activity, he hasn't and won't.

You surely are not a socket puppet account from the creator.

How much are y'all getting @ http://yum.dedicatedpool.com/?

I got 1 coin in 1 hour @ 400khash. Should be getting a lot more right?

Not at this time, right now difficulty is just too high to mine this premined scam.

lol nice scam

It was stated in the initial post that 1+-% was going to be premined for give aways and bounties. Iv been totally transparent from the beginning. I even released the windows wallet early to prevent pool instamine.

2.5% of your premine for giveaway and your "official pool" bettercoin scammed 90% of what we mined.

Keep scamming.

Please do the math. It was 1.5% I also had the owner of the block explorer put Baconbits immediately on the site to show full transparency the owner can confirm this.

I was notified that Bettercoin fixed the payment issues, is this not true?

Right now you hold 3/4 of all the mined coins, and the difficulty keeps going up, block target is now 2 minutes.

814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's with all the giveaways? on: January 07, 2014, 04:42:07 PM
I've never quite understood this.  Wouldn't this just result in more coins being dumped on the exchanges, driving down price?
It wouldn't. The amounts in giveaways are too low to manipulate price

Exactly, for example the latest release YUM BaconBits premined 450,000 and is going to give away 11,000, that's 2.44% of the premine.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's with all the giveaways? on: January 07, 2014, 04:33:53 PM
It's so people have free coins, when people get free coins they will give positive opinion about the coin and be unintentional shills, which will help the preminer to drive up the price and dump their shit.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [YUM] BaconBits Premine on: January 07, 2014, 04:27:22 PM
Did anyone expect a currency called BaconBits to be in any way a serious altcoin?

One can only hope lol.

Anyway I just want to aware everyone before they start to dump their coins. This BaconBits have 0 value.
