8001  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Terminus R606 750GH (up to 1TH) quiet miner, now shipping on: August 10, 2019, 01:06:10 AM
Yeah, pretty much what they said. One guy placed a big order early, and then in the first two days of the next week I got stock requests from every other reseller on the planet. Literally, every. I also had some equipment down which turned the assembly line into a single train and I had to keep it on NewPacs. I've since fixed one of the down machines so I can work on R606 and hubs on the side without interrupting the main NewPac line, but that only means they'll be rolling out, not that they'll be rolling out quickly.

The R606 was officially "temporarily out of production" for the better part of a month, but the first new ones on the queue will be going out Monday.

that is still good for business - I still need to order one but I still need to figure out about the controller aspect of it - I have never used a miner that didnt have a controller built in.

If your looking for our waitlist, on the product page, just below the out of stock status. You do need an account to sign up though.
https://www.419mining.com/shop/miners/gekkoscience-r606-pod-miner/

I tried but even with me following all the requirements for a password it says it is too weak. I have tried 12-15 chars in length - used capital/lowercase numbers and special characters - it wont take anything other then what google "recommends" which I will not use because no way in hell I will ever remember it.

**edit**

it worked when I did 16 chars - it wont take anything under 16 even though it says 12 minimum.

look - just go on Craigslist and tell everyone these will out perform their 2080's in all their video games and you will have them sold in a day lol

(yes - I know they are not designed for gaming)
8003  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Whatsminer M20S 65 TH model on: August 09, 2019, 05:09:51 PM
Steep yes with lots of numbers below that people can offer, or not, again not to pressed to sell the machine.
I have done some checking and for anyone who is worried about the orange wave of tarrifs, I can secure you a spot with a reputable hosting facility in Canada.
This means you pay only the price we agree upon and then the hosting fees. I'll update better details later when I'm off mobile

Forgot to update this so with another nice price run-up I'll give it a bump. Hosting in Canada is offered by Cryptoboreas, and if you go that route I have secured a spot. Long time member allinvain runs this operation and has also offered to provide escrow service to the buyer if it's going there, should it be needed.

Will accept BTC, LTC maybe others you can reach out, as always feel free to make an offer.

I would buy this but you are so steep.  I know what you paid (same as me) send me a pm with  the low number you would take.

and then tell me too - I will go $1 over Phil's offer Tongue

I can tell you I have not seen that, our orders are always filled in the order they are placed.

and that is the right way to do it!
8005  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Terminus R606 750GH (up to 1TH) quiet miner, now shipping on: August 09, 2019, 12:48:58 PM
what I would see as a problem with the above scenario is if in order to get the stick miner orders rushed out that it causes a delay in the orders for the R606 which were placed before the stick miner orders.
8006  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 23 Bitmain L3+ in Canada on: August 09, 2019, 12:25:10 AM
11.6 k mh/s? like 11.6 gh/s or do you mean 11.6 mh/s? If I recall the L3+ is supposed to be around 500 mh/s right?

edit*** I think I realize what you mean - you mean the total hashing power for 23 of them is 11,600 mh/s

He has not removed any of our negative feedback, the end customer doesn't even want to leave negative feedback.

ahh I was referring to the three of us jrc209 left negative feedback on because we commented against crypto832 as detailed here in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5152921.msg51872646#msg51872646

I believe the 4 or 5 people he did it to are the ones he removed. and I think it was mainly because he used the JRC account to leave negative feedback based on the crypto account.

8009  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Take a free 0.64 btc on: August 08, 2019, 08:30:47 PM
Really mate? you offering that much money for a random person and without any collateral, it's stupid from you if you think that someone will believe what you offering. probably you will ask them to pay you some fees before receiving that free BTC you're offering and after the payment, you won't give them anything, is that your plan? I just wanna say there are many ways to get some profits other than trying to scam people.

they do require that you deposit .03 BTC before you can withdraw. Why not just take the .03 out of the .64? because they are not really giving out .64 btc...
8010  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Mining Farm Opportunity on: August 08, 2019, 12:26:21 AM
Hi I’m looking for investors to help make a mining farm I have over 5000sq ft of commercial space.
I’ve been flipping miners and all kinda of stuff to increase my farm.
I currently have 13 s17 miners.
I pay .04 per kW for commercial electric
My building is wired super nice nothing is rigged and it has A/C
I’m located in PA. I’m willing to give serious investors a tour of what I have.

nice! this is my dream as well - I am only at 19 miners so far but slowly increasing - 13 for btc and 3 for ltc - another ltc miner is on its way. my hold up is getting the approval for more power. and convincing a bank to give me the loan - they seem to hate crypto.
8011  Economy / Reputation / Re: Crypto832 -grifter and scammed me for $80 on: August 07, 2019, 06:01:51 PM
when I texted jrc209 about the negative feedback he left us all because of his alt (crypto832) he told me he didnt even have access to the account and that he didnt even run the computer shop anymore and that he was now in law enforcement - his next text was to tell me he got back in the account and removed all the negative feedback..... then he had a friend of his pretend to be a cop and text me - I wish I had kept those texts lol

still hoping that LTC value rises - my LTC Asics are currently running in the red atm - difficulty drop though in about 7 hours so that might help.

I can tell you  that with the upcoming ½ ing it pays to be fully ramped on a 5n payout pool.
If ramp up time scares you  migrate some in

Aug
Sept
Oct
Nov
Dec
Jan  So that you are fully ramped up by Jan 31 to Feb 28

anyone fully ramped up in this pool by March 1st will have an advantage for  the May ½ ing
Alas, this isn't correct.

I think what he was getting at was that the guy could leave all miners on PPS to ensure he's bringing in enough revenue to pay the bills and slowly bring over a percentage of his miners each month that way he is still pulling in PPS while the first set is ramping up - by the time he adds the third set, the first set should be fully ramped up - by the final set the first two sets should be ramped up fully - of course, if ramping stays the same - it does tend to fluctuate based on pool hash rate.

I do have some ideas for the pool's growth though:

1. Focus on the smaller guys! (specifically S9 owners)
2. Explain PPLNS payout & Ramps using 1x S9's hashrate as an example - show graphs/time needed etc.there is no set time, as the pools overall hash rate decreases/increases so does the ramp up/down time - this literally can change multiple times each day
3. Maybe half the ramp to 2.5Nd? Waiting +-3months for full payout is brutal) ramping to 5Nd prevents pool hopping - even if a huge farm joins, they get very little reward until they are ramped up
4. Cancel the large miner's BTC reward (not really working + the big fish seem to leave after getting the reward anyway)
5. Use the saved coins to payout all dust bunnies asap & in future (see point 1)agreed. by now there is probably thousands of dollars sitting in dust
6. Use the saved coins to also hire a website designer (Kano.is seriously needs some love)
7. Lower fees to 0.5% (can be raised again when the pool is larger & regularly finding blocks)...people obviously aren't willing to jump ship for 1.1% saving vs Slushhe's already damn near the lowest fee there is

Kind regards,
Cjs

any further update? originally we should have had these weeks before the halving and now it will be weeks after the halving?

I ordered mine May 11th and it came in the mail Aug. 3rd.  I hope that helps you with time frames for estimating your date.

yes that means I might be another month out then - I ordered June 21st and it was supposed to be mid July then end of July but now I think end of August.

@SolarSilver : He also bought from bitgild bar with two dots. But he did not seem too worried (although he did not have to test and approve his bar)

the ones on the left are fake - or at least are not from the Perth Mint

If you saved the 2FA Secret Key then you can manually enter the 2FA into the app with that key,
and the settings as stated "Kano: totp SHA256 30s"

The web page says to save your 2FA Secret Key

When you setup 2FA is says:
Quote
Your 2FA Secret Key is: 123...
2FA Settings are Kano: totp SHA256 30s

To setup 2FA in your App: Click here
or scan the qrcode/barcode below with your App:

and

Quote
WARNING: if you lose your 2FA device you will need to know
the 2FA Secret Key to manually setup a new device,
so your should copy it and store it somewhere securely.
For security reasons, the site will not show you an active 2FA Secret Key

Thank you Kano but it seems I did not save ALL of them. I had quite a few and if I lose and have to make new only 4, 2 of which I did not really plan to use anyways, then I got lucky. I am for sure making damn sure I have all of them saved this time...

My phone was smashed beyond belief today - the screen was not operable, I tried to open the app but the screen would not respond to touch and even though I did a full back up to iTunes after it was smashed and restored it to a new phone - the one thing lost is all my 2fa....

I luckily have been logged into several of the sites with an auto refresh set to keep me logged in and while some pools allow me to reset the 2fa with a text verification - others do not. I have pulled my miners off of kano.is for the time being until I get it sorted. My payment address will not change so anything mined, I know I will get but I cannot affect any changes to my kano.is account so I will most likely need to create a new account which sucks as i was about 70% ramped up. All I can hope for is that we find a few blocks before I fully ramp down.

So far my affected accounts which I have no way to disable 2fa are:

1. Kano.is - I am currently logged in but cannot disable the 2fa so if my pc dies or reboots I will be locked out of my account
2. bitmain (which wont matter unless they give me coupons I wont be able to use as I can always create another account for future orders)
3. minergate (used periodically with my gpu rigs but luckily all my balances are zero or very close to zero)
4. slushpool (says I can submit a signed transaction from my wallet - but I have not mined on slush for 7 months so not too worried there)

maybe a few others that I am forgetting off the top of my head. the store used iTunes to erase and reset the phone... if I get the phone back, and have the screen repaired, is it possible to reinstall the app and since it is the same phone my 2fa's would be accessible?
