I can keep my xcp in my blockchain.info to any time in the future if I do not want to use them?

Apart from this jump today because of Bter.com, the price is depressingly not going anywhere - actually moving down.

You would think that NXT would gain a momentum by now, that it be proven that it's not a scam and that that would reflect in price, but no - it's not doing anything.

There should be more hype, more demand...

Tell me honestly you don't fell the same way? (put aside todays move)

i cannot remember 24h having a volume of 680btc only on dgex - even in the days before fees and massive abuse of insider traiding it was around 500 btc. The only reason for not skyrocketing today is that this time the supply of nxt was much higher
823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: January 18, 2014, 03:10:39 PM
Clearly there is a significant pent up demand for NXT.

bter is a nice exchange, but they are a low volume exchange. A small fraction compared to the major Chinese exchanges.

China has the top 6 BTC exchanges and all are usually more active than bitstamp or btc-e. Something like 90% of BTC trading happens in China. Look at http://www.btc123.com/ if you don't believe me.

I doubt everyone who wants to purchase NXT has done so. On the other hand, the last two weeks has probably allowed pretty much everyone that wanted to sell their NXT at yesterday's prices to have done so.

James

The more the Chinese buy NXT now the more they can trade with NXT assets on the distributed exchange when the restrictions on their exchanges come in at the end of the month.

maybe the chinese guys should stress this issue in their coummunites

All bter activity on NXT/CNY, zero activity on NXT/BTC?

great isn't it they are pumping fiat for crypto

The first posting of "Nxt's founder", known as BCNext, is on September 28, 2013 at 07:29:09 AM (UTC+2) where he announces the Nxt idea.

Only SIX minutes later, he posts the following:

Important

15 minutes ago I had a talk with a man (or a woman) who said he is a police officer. We were chatting via Skype, he asked me to make him a phone call because he has important information for me. I refused to do so and closed Skype.
Some things to think about:
- I always use Tor surfing the Internet.
- How is it possible to get my Skype number which was created for Nxt project? It was known by 3 people only who are working on Nxt project.
- The phone number was +194... It's the USA and it's a night in there right now. Was it a joke?
- I have checked the computer, no malware found.

I also read this strange announcement thread - pretty sure he wrote that much later (don't know exactly but at least two weeks maybe much more) and put it in a reserved spot....

there are some strange things but I am almost 100% sure cfb is not bcnext.

NxtMyth - Stakeholders can manipulate the "Coin"

Troll:
Quote
please can someone tell me if NEXTcoin is a scam, anyone has a link that says is a scam, it seems a very manipulated coin controlled by a few that make them going up for them to get rich and then drop te value very quick, it does not smell good to me this Nextcoin

Salsacz:

where do you have the data from

great effort by the way

i assume coinmarketcap only gets the data from dgex?

1.2 Trillion units at $.1  Who do I congratulate on the $120Bil valuation?  I'll contact CoinmarketCap.

 Grin

either we do not understand the fundraising or they really need to overthink this

it is an interesting project but don't let end up like ripple

a thread was started within the biggest german pokercommunity (overall 6.5m members)

http://de.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=1569974

I try to keep it updated as well

This is a great marketing opportunity....can someone please give nakaone some support in this initiative.

this is only one of many... there already is starcraft and poker idea, but there will be a huge number of many other online games played for Nxt. Not only 3Dgames or casinos, but also tournaments in online trading card games...

well the thread was not opened for marketing reasons - cryptos are discussed in an investment on pokerstrategy.com

anyway I do not know who is responsible for marketing of nxt but professional poker players should be a target group especially in the early days:
- they understand investment extremely well
- they have a high affinity to online payments and working with money online
- they are young and open to new ideas
- they often struggle with taxation/regulation issues and are therefore interested in alternative investments
- they have tons of money and a burning ambition to make more money

well I also came from poker to crypto due to the bitcoin thread on pokerstrategy.com

I'll try to clarify some isse in the nxt thread as well as in the btc thread on pokerstrategy.com from an economics perspective (initial profession)

We could spend some unclaimed coins for that. Create a poll if u think it's a good idea.

I should have mentioned someone who speaks German...
I speak German. It's only a poker forum, which has nothing to do with cryptocurrency. There is a thread about Bitcoin. But well, it isn't worth giving a bounty for that. Or else everyone could post NXT to a big forum and get NXT for that.

someone could organize a tournament where the pot is 100,000 Nxt or something...would give good publicity.

I am not the intial opener of the thread but already contacted him. I'll keep it updated with information from here. Poker players in general are interested in cryptocurrencies and investment opportunities.

NXT
833  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: dgex.com on: January 05, 2014, 12:40:01 PM
dgex takes their time - but they are trustworthy - i had an issue with them and they handled it

slow but trustworthy

anyway the situation about the almost monopolized supply of nxt is horrible and will hopefully be fixed within the next week Wink
