 Smiley

maybe the next step should be to add it on coinmarketcap - or do you think it is too early?

Jah Power Bit has put up an Enhanced Feed Info Schema for Counterparty Binary Bets.

It can be found here: https://www.jahpowerbit.org/feeds/feed.schema.json
based on: http://json-schema.org/

I am really looking forward for an easy to use betting implementation. even though I do not assume mass market adoption, I think this is brutally interesting for professional betters due to the possibilities of low-risk arbitrage betting.

these people also tend to be looking for edges Wink

Can anybody answer me? i am asking again as nobody answered. Why does the title say first anonymous coin?? bytecoin was released in 2012 so that means dark is not the first

Besure to include some links with this, people will get confused with other not so liked Bytecoin.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=512747.0

Also, check out Monero.

Yup, i have invested a lot in Monero, it will be 'the' coin Smiley
On what basis would Monero be "the" coin? It's a Bytecoin clone. Its development is months behind DRK. By the time Monero becomes accessible to the average person, DRK will already have I2P, ring signatures, IP obfuscation as well as momentum. Also, there's the fact that Bytecoin/Monero/Cryptonote clones aren't perfect, read Anonymint's criticisms.

this whole analysis who wins the race is so damn unimportant - the only thing for sure is that there is a huge demand for an anonymous currency - afaik the teams of drk, monero, byte etc are almost cooperating designing such a currency. no need for battle. from my point of view the cryptonote currencies are on step ahead regarding backend development, darkcoin is ahead in the front end as well as user adoption. I do not care I hodl all of them.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity) on: May 18, 2014, 01:30:26 PM
Oh really. Do you have any idea where those timestamps come from?

If they stored a hash of the the BCN genesis block into the BTC blockchain buried back in 2012, I'd be somewhat impressed. Timestamps in their own blockchain, not so much.

You never miss a beat, do you smooth. You're like the Cryptocoin conspiracy theorist.

Why would a group of people who devoted so much time and thought, create a lie about something as trivial as a date.

The most reasonable explanation IMO is that it was a test coin for some time and devs instead of launching a new one without their test premine decided to launch it and see what money they can grab by dumping what they have.

A few conspiracy like comments like hurr durr this coin is very known in dark net and who knows for what is being used make noobs believing in that.

Well i guess somehow devs should be paid for their very nice algo. And as people exist that fall for it even for a few BTC thats good for devs Smiley No hard feelings. They seem to have delivered a very promising algo.

I only have inferior knowledge on dark and deepweb but I could not find any place where it is used. I am assuming until know dark and deepweb are using bitcoins and litecoins + mixing services.

btc balance is always 0 on chancecoin client?
how to solve this?

i have some btc on that address but can not show up!

Is it really a problem ? You still can move your coins right ?

you can't do anything without btc in your cilent, man!
we need the solution.

strange if you have btc and cha on that address it should work - did not have the problem

Error: mixin_count should be non-negative integer, got <1>

Huh
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: May 15, 2014, 10:58:23 PM
I like all your efforts and think this is really a valueable project.

But from an economics perspective I have doubts regarding your "macro economic policy" - there are tons of factors to consider if you want to stabilize an exchange rate. A read through some economic literature will help you see that no system ever managed to keep an exchange rate stable or almost stable over a long period of time.

to stabilize it against btc is in my opinion an even worser idea, by nature btc will be volatile for a long period of time, what will you do if another crypto overtakes btc and gets the role of reserve currency? will you 3-way stabilize against euro dollar, ether, whatever etc.?

the next thing to consider is the downsides of stabilization (if this is somehow possible), in my opinion there are huge downsides of price stabilization - I had a discussion with maaku(?) in the xcp thread about the function of a price, especially regarding innovations, which should give an insight.

let me know if I can help, this sounds by far more negative than it is meant - I still like your overall idea. if you have questions send me a pm

no possibility to dl the blockchain? - first page is not working
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: May 15, 2014, 05:44:57 PM
I think I know the plan of the whale: Take DRK above NXT+DOGE in coinmarketcap to attract even more attention. DRK would do that at ~8 USD each or 0.018x BTC.

I was present during the BC pump. When it almost reached Dogecoin mc, a doubting thoughts came through my mind, that whoever was pumping it, he'll not make it surpass Doge. And it didn't. But DRK's price rise is much "slower" compared to BC. It's not x10 overnight. I think it would be healthy, if it suspends at max 0.15 and then goes sideways at least until end of the week.

point of blackcoin is that it is actually not innovative - i remember when blackcoin was #20 on coinmarketcap and darkcoin #19. I read like 15 times the announcement thread and the webpage of blackcoin to see what it offers and did not find anything remarkable.
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MRO] Monero - Anonymous Currency Based on Ring Signatures on: May 15, 2014, 04:26:50 PM
Even Darkcoin is CPU mining based, I didn't know that.
Is it like BCN ?

correct me if wrong but basically yes - without 80% premine
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [MRO] Monero logo contest - 300 MRO bounty on: May 15, 2014, 01:43:42 PM

good one - would like to see the o n e r closer to the top line that it actually looks like a key but anyway
556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: May 15, 2014, 01:38:33 PM
Soon enough DRK to build a masternode!  Grin
Well yes, the more masternodes the better. The coin is going to become scarce and much more rare. Which will lead to it's value increasing even at a faster pace.

is the quality of mixing aka anonymisation also dependant on the number of masternodes?
557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCP] Counterparty Protocol, Client and Coin (built on Bitcoin) - Official on: May 15, 2014, 12:19:35 AM

good one, especially the part on proxy-tokens. the most interesting question is how do we reduce the issuer-risk to a minimum - if someone has an elegant solution for that, this can be a game changer in the whole cryptosphere.
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: May 14, 2014, 10:58:13 PM
a very smart move was to implement the masternodes with 1000 drk as min buy-in.

i remember when this coin was around .0012 and it was nothing like a joke - miners were mining at huge losses, difficulty was extreme for that low price. I think the market move was expected by everyone.

let us see where this ship is going, but please do not let the market go full retard. this project is promising, so please do not let it go on the crazyist rollercoaster - i think the biggest problem with pumping and dumping "good" alt-coins is that the smaller players are getting scared - see as reference what happened during the price crash with the distribution of bitcoins. all the small fishes were selling to the big whales. in the worst market situation second market told they now own 100000 bitcoins. do not let the whales in too cheaply  Wink
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MRO] Monero - Anonymous Currency Based on Ring Signatures on: May 14, 2014, 12:54:44 PM
When the GUI wallet can lanch?
When the pool can come out?
I can't mining anything with my I3 CPU Cry Cry Cry Cry

it is probably a language thing, and it is by no means meant personal, but this behaviour of members not participating on the development is horrible. monero is one of the most promising projects out there and sometimes development needs time. I am not a developer and I am simply freeriding their time and effort spent - the last thing I would do is complaining about the development speed.

By this I want to say thank you for the effort and time spent by the developers. kudos to the team for the impressive improvements until now - never forget this coin is three weeks old.
560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: █████ ***** THE ZEROCOIN SOURCE - Truly anonymous coin ***** █████ on: May 12, 2014, 10:20:54 PM
The new zerocash protocol is faster & hides how much you transact, not just where it came from. We are presenting it at IEEES&P next Tuesday

https://twitter.com/secparam/status/465972761333346304

i mean it is nice and so.. but this is not anonymity - I think it is probably a useful extension to btc, but I expected much more. anyway let us wait for the whitepaper
