ZHPOOL: Why don't you compose some nice email to all your miners to set the vote to something low? You are the second largest pool and you have emails of all your miners unlike 1Gh pool which is anonymous. I would explain shortly especially to new miners why it's better choice to vote low these days and that it would drive the price up. But anyway it's important to somehow convince mainly the biggest miners to change their votes, there are just few miners with huge gpu farms who find most of the blocks. So maybe you could write to them personalised email and maybe provide them some bounty when they lower their votes. I believe it will be worth for all of us to make this extra effort and maybe some additional financial motivation.
When you download the cgminer from there pool. the default --vote 1024 on settings. newbie miner dont know about this they will just ignore it and run they miner. Sounds like they are trying to force quicker rewards so that they make more money and aren't worried about the coin long term.  This is what I think as well. ZHPool, please be so kind and so something about that, it will pay off at the end. I know it's risk for you and you most probably don't wanna end up like HVCPool but we all strongly believe HVC will survive this huge crash and will finally take off to moon soon. BTC is going up, many ALTS are going up and HVC seems to pick up at Mintpal too. Finally my bag is getting lighter. |

Just tweeted them. Over 4 hours since last block. They are still accepting shares though. Seems to be only problem of 1Gh. ZhPool is finding new blocks but not all of them one by one. Some blocks are apparently still found by other pools and maybe 1Gh is also still finding them, just something broke down on their server I assume. |

Downtrend is only due to BTC being down. Most don't realize that. BTC is rated against the dollar or euro. But ALTs are rated against BTC. It's a compound effect. So when BTC falls 20%, ALTs should remain locked or fixed at the price they are at compared to BTC, but they fall too. So when btc is down is when you should buy the ALTs... Because your leverage is so much stronger when BTc rebounds which it will. I don't think most people get that.
The only question is which ALTs are good to buy, because it seems too bad with most of the ALTs these days apart from some exceptions which HVC isn't. |

btc is about to drop another 30% next week (china ban on 15th, coinciding with ema death cross on weekly charts). could be even 50% over next two months
So is it already more or less certain that BTC will be banned in China on 15th? pboc (chinese central bank) is closing a loophole exchanges have been exploiting for a few months. chinese have been desperately trying to pump the whole last week in preparation for dumps (to fill the orderbooks) u think if china ban bitcoin we dead? lol Gpools, aren't you from China or at least from that Asian corner? I thought you are, so maybe you can give us some info on what's going on out there. |
