What the heck is going on with this linux wallet? I'm having hell getting it to run on my server... Compiled on my home box, ran, uploaded to server, won't run... Working on it! Soon as that's fixed the pool will be ready to go.

Several people have reported issues with it, specifically the DNSseed. I'm mining it from a linux box, but my wallet is on a windows machine. No issues with the windows wallet so far.

Not really wanting to do it but I may just have to host pool's wallet from my home windows machine, for now... Ugh. Oh well, it'll work. Pool ETA 30 mins.

My other pool is http://wolongsucks.tk, the only one actually running. It's a small pool now since PND has kind of died off, but at one time was about 450MH, ran smoothly.

Within about an hour and a half a pool will be up at http://birdcoinpool.tk. It's gonna be 1% fee with PPLNS payout system, and like my other pool we will do a weekly giveaway of approximately 25% of the pool's earnings. Please give me a little while to get DNS set up and a wallet running. See you soon!
826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]REDDITCOIN[RDC][SCRYPT][KGW][IPO] LAUNCH 03/13/2014 ! GET IN FAST ! on: March 05, 2014, 06:32:15 AM
This coin looks interesting, and despite the obvious issues here, we went ahead and set up a pool at http://rdcpool.tk. DNS is propagating as we speak but it should be accessible very soon. Go ahead and register, and as soon as the wallet becomes available you'll be ready to mine! The pool is going to be PPLNS @ 1% fee, and we'll be doing a weekly giveaway of 25% of our fees! Our server is very solid, in fact, our other pool has only 0.23% stale shares, which makes a difference especially with coins with small block rewards! Come give us a try!

Maybe I should just take a cue from OP and change my business model to "hay guise im making coin 4 u pls gib btc i totally wont spend it on hookers and blow"
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Pre-Ann] ↑ ROCKETCOIN ↑ 210.000 COIN ↑ - 1 Week - on: February 27, 2014, 06:56:34 PM
I have contacted the developer with questions as to an ETA, I'm eager to get a fire lit under this rocket!

The pool at http://rocketcoinpool.tk is awaiting registrations, all we lack is a green light and to fire up the wallet.

The pool will be set up as PPLNS and a 0.8% fee, if we ever get underway! I guess we will see.

Well, it appears this coin is getting premined to death, so the pool has been re-tasked for another coin. Much sad.
828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Pre-Ann] ↑ ROCKETCOIN ↑ 210.000 COIN ↑ - 1 Week - on: February 20, 2014, 09:57:12 PM
http://rocketcoinpool.tk is open for registrations. 1% fee PPLNS pool, once we're underway we will be doing some sort of promotion or giveaway to get the party started! Come register and get setup, as soon as the wallet drops you can fire up your miners!

See below.
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ORCA] ORCA COIN IS LAUNCHED on: February 20, 2014, 08:19:39 PM
9 weeks behind, 28400 blocks already

Welp, I was in the process of setting up a pool for this.... Nevermind!

Anyone got any suggestions for another coin to set up a pool for? Got fast server.
830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wolongs Breakdown [PANDA] on: February 20, 2014, 06:52:09 PM
Join in the revolt against Wolong's Panda scamcoin, join us at http://wolongsucks.tk and mine the REAL Pandacoin! 1% fee PPLNS pool with a weekly giveaway of a portion of the pool's proceeds!
831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PND][KGW ADDED!!] The Official PandaCoin thread! [Scrypt][KGW][NO PREMINE] on: February 19, 2014, 07:01:46 AM
The pool at http://wolongsucks.tk is now running smoothly and we have found 6 blocks so far! As of now it seems that we've gotten all the major bugs squashed, just need minor things such as a block explorer when it becomes available. A 50k bonus for the 10th block finder is still up for grabs, plus weekly prizes of 25% pool fee! 1% pool fee with PPLNS. Come mine with us!
832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LAUNCHED][PND] The Official PandaCoin Launch thread! [Scrypt][NO PREMINE] on: February 18, 2014, 05:24:56 PM
http://wolongsucks.tk Pool needs miners! First block finder gets 100k bonus, same as other pool! We're going to be doing a contest, too. Every week, 25% of the pool's fees go to one lucky miner!
833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LAUNCHED][PND] The Official PandaCoin Launch thread! [Scrypt][NO PREMINE] on: February 18, 2014, 08:46:01 AM
Got another pool opened up at 192.241.241.127 or http://wolongsucks.tk. DNS might not have fully propagated yet, but other than that, everything seems to be working! Pool is 1% fee, and we're thinking of doing some kind of weekly giveaway, with a percentage of the pool's take as a prize! Come mine with us!
834  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Altcoin Watcher for Android on: November 22, 2013, 03:46:57 AM
Thanks, hope you guys like it. It's now on GetJar, one of just a few apps that pop up if you search for Bitcoin. Hopefully it gets the attention it deserves. Doesn't seem to be many options for tracking multiple coins across a few markets at once.

Over the weekend I will be working on getting an update put together. I'd like the app to work on every size screen, so far the smallest screens get pinched so bad it's unreadable. Working on a fix for this. May have to completely rewrite it so that if it detects a small screen it splits it up into 2 screens. I'm still trying to determine what would be the best way to go about giving it a more attractive UI, and implementing a 7 day history, amongst other features. If anyone gets any use out of it, please consider making a donation to help out, shooting for the LiveCode Commercial license someday!
835  Bitcoin / Project Development / Altcoin Watcher for Android on: November 19, 2013, 01:35:24 AM
Altcoin Watcher for Android version 1.0.0 has been released. I have been out of circulation for quite a while and have been meaning to get this project going for around 6 months now, but life has been giving me lemons and I'm sick of lemonade!

In the process of putting it on app stores. It can be directly downloaded at http://edric.soupwhale.com which is also the "official" website for the time being.

Altcoin Watcher simply displays value data across multiple exchanges, BTC-E, Gox, Bitstamp, and mcxNow, for all cryptocoins. It requires no personal data, no wallet data or anything like that. It only reports current values and the only input it requires is if you need to change the refresh rate. Future updates will include tweaks for smaller screens, more exchanges, coins, and currencies, an inventory system (where you punch in the amounts of coins you own and get estimated values), notifications, and taking suggestions for additional features. I know there's apps out there such as Meta Trader for Android, there are no plans for this app to become something similar, no plans to implement trading. I will be entertaining suggestions for improvements, though, so if there's features you'd like to see, please let me know. Sending me an email via the website would be the quickest way to communicate with me. I hope you guys get some use out of my app.

Right now the app is written in LiveCode, which is responsible for the large-ish size of the apk (2.1MB), since building a standalone has to pack in the entire LiveCode runtime in order to run. I'm studying the C programming language and at a later time, it's possible Altcoin Watcher for Android will undergo a conversion and rewrite.

836  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CryptoCoin Alerts - App that speaks your cryptocoin values out loud on: May 14, 2013, 11:20:19 PM
App has been updated. Link in OP is updated.

-Fixed weird bug where it'd just blab forever, without giving any useful information (such as, um, numbers).
-Added Gox and Bitstamp BTC > USD rates.
-Changed "Hear all values" button to "Hear all Checked Values" - Thanks, Deprived!
-Started thinking about error handling, but didn't do anything about it! WEE!

Still in the works: A filtration system. Currently toying with ideas how to make it work without breaking the rest of the app.
837  Economy / Lending / Re: Seeking .30 BTC loan to help get things moving and help get a little reputation. on: May 13, 2013, 08:17:13 PM
Awesome, thanks much, I will not let you down. Thanks for trying out Cryptocoin Alerts, and keep an eye out, there's more to come. Gonna put more exchanges in there, plus a filtering system where you will know when your coin hits a certain value. With your loan I'll be able to get a VPS for testing and stuff with my little pool project. What I'm hoping to do is be able to set up p2pool or pushpool with multiple coin daemons, and build an app around the whole thing that will be able to change all the config on the fly, and set up new a new installation with ease. All the user would have to do is download the linux .iso and install it on a VM, VPS, or physical machine and run my setup app once linux is installed. I'm trying to get it packaged up where all dependencies are included so there's no headache. This is probably my biggest project yet, and I'm working on it quite alone, so hopefully I'll have some tangible progress within the next few weeks. I'll send you an installment of the loan in a week or so.

Thanks,
Edric

The website looks pretty interesting, I was just now looking at it. Definitely count me in! I've got a few projects in mind, and a couple in development. What do you guys think about a turnkey coin pool platform that only takes a few minutes to set up? No official announcement yet, but it's in the works! If you need any info from me for your library throw me a message!

839  Economy / Lending / Seeking .30 BTC loan to help get things moving and help get a little reputation. on: May 13, 2013, 04:36:29 AM
First of all, my real name is Kerry Box. On most any online service you find me, I am called Edric or Fedaykin, or some variation of those. I work with a couple of companies, Larcon Foods and Chicken Express, and do quite a few small computer or electronics related jobs for home income, though I am taking a few weeks off of the 9-5 job for some personal health issues, but in no way is my family struggling. I have income from a few various online sources, ranging from $20-$50 a week, depending on the effort I'm putting in. I can provide a picture of my ID to a third party, or do my best to accommodate a lender in any way possible to satisfy their requirements.

The reason I am asking for a .30 BTC loan is to help jumpstart a couple of projects I'm working on. I'm kinda short on hardware at the moment and what I really need is a good VPS to do some (probably a LOT of) testing. One of my projects has been announced here in the forums, but is still in the early stages of development, and hasn't gained much interest yet. Here's the link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=197717.0. This one isn't the important one, though, but I am thinking of moving most of its functions to a server, automating updates, etc. The real project is a turnkey, multi-coin pool server, that anyone can install on any machine, VPS, or what have you, and have a pool up and running in just a few minutes without having to dig around in config files, install a thousand dependencies, you get the picture. I haven't announced this project quite yet, as I'm still in the early stages of hammering out the config files and building a pushbutton configuration app for it.

I'm really looking for a jumpstart here, a small loan would definitely help speed up the process and would be greatly appreciated. I've been a member here since 2011, but for a while there was doing other stuff, but Bitcoin inevitably pulled me back in. I'm definitely not trying to get on the scammer list, and will take whatever steps necessary to impart confidence to any generous lenders who are reading this.

The loan terms I have in my head sound reasonable, but that is up to the lender. .30 BTC for a period of 3 weeks, at 25% interest, with .375 total paid back. I can either pay it back all at once at the end of the 3 weeks, or it may be possible for me to pay in a couple of small increments, then the remainder at the end of the 3 weeks. This, however is open for negotiation with any lender, so please message me and we can work something out. I look forward to doing some business, as I'm also trying to get my name and face known in the community!

Thanks,
Edric

I'm developing an app, tentatively named "CryptoCoin Alerts", it fetches values such as Bitcoin to USD, BTC to LTC, etc., and speaks the values aloud at an interval you specify. It's far from finished, but does fetch all values from BTC-E right now. Soon I will have Gox, BTER, and other exchanges implemented, just been real busy trying to hold things together IRL. So far, it seems that there's been no interest in my app, but I insist that if people check it out, some will find it useful. I'm constantly working on a hundred different things, cooking, doing stuff around the house, and can't keep my eyes glued to the screen to watch my coins go up a few points, with my app I can just listen! Anyway, it's open source, developed with LiveCode 6.0, community edition. If any Livecode guys want to look at the source just to verify that there's no malicious stuff in there, you're welcome to it, it's included in the download.

Here's a link to the official thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=197717.0

I'll have some updates to the app soon, if there's any interest in it. Also, with Livecode, I have the ability to build for pretty much every platform, so keep that in mind. If people would use the app, I'll add whatever they need!

Thanks,
Edric
