Huntercoin needs 'rare' player classes. They could be created if a new player name has a special property/checksum
and sufficient fee is sent for name_new tx and should
a) act as a coin sink
b) encourage players of the same color to cooperate
c) give no direct advantage for rich guys versus other players of the same color, only bragging rights.

Example:

'Champion of <color>'

Cost: 50000 HUC.

Passive ability: (perhaps restricted to some part of the map)
Every soldier in the champion's vicinity (distance <= 12 squares or so) attacks like a general (2 squares destruct radius).
If the attack kills an enemy, loot is not dropped but evenly distributed between the team of that soldier
and one randomly choosen general in the vicinity of the champion. The champion has the same chance to get 50%
of the loot like every one else.

Rational players would rally around the champion(s) wherever they choose to attack.

Expensive player classes need to be mostly immortal, of course. If destructed, they either just go back to spawn,
or can be recreated at normal cost (i.e. 20 HUC) for the same name and address.
For safe cash out, their own reward address immediately gets 96% (or more) of the initial fee if self-destructed.

Is this easy to implement?  Wink

50,000 HUC? Are you serious lol?

Make it 100,00 lol Cheesy

They could at least sell the site. It had a good look.

Scammed ruru Tongue
But scamming ruru is always a plus.  Grin

We would probably be out of line leaving them positive feedback for that eh? Wink Cheesy

Would 1,400kh be enough to solo mine and find blocks?

nope not really

I lost a 2^32 bet, so never say never! Here is where it happened   Angry

I think you would be better off mining shitcoins, dumping them over to BTC and then going into HUC. A multipool for HUC would be kind of nice for the miners in your case!

I was a huge follower of Huntercoin but the value now is way too low, I didn't expect this at all  Sad
What do you think about it, I have about 2500 HUC (some months ago I was sort of rich lol), should I hold again?

If you want to sell it I will pay 1 satoshi more than Poloniex bid.

So I contacted a mathematician guy to ask for help in calculating my chance of winning the bet I made here recently.

He pointed me at this page, and in particular this part of it:

But I have no idea how to evaluate that for the bet I made.  He concluded that I was very likely to win the bet, but didn't show his working.

Is there anyone who can explain how to use the above formula to calculate the odds of seeing at least a 28-streak of losing bets in a sequence of 357,937,388 bets at 49.5%?

Did he take in to account that the bets where spread over who knows how many accounts?  Speaking of that... how many different accounts had made a 49.5% bet? Jw

I don't see this happening

I already have the foundation set up, but I need more time.

Looking at starting with Belize, Panama, Switzerland and the USA to start. This will not be a exchange.

Time to do our own part Smiley

Not quite yet.  We need to be able to tell people about it and have them "mining" or set up with a wallet within 5 minutes (not a exchange wallet.)  If it can't be done within 5 minutes I personally believe it would be best to just keep quietly adding coins. The ask is so thin that honestly it wouldn't take too much to push it back to ATH (all time highs.)

DOTA, back in the day of Guinsoo (Warcraft 3), had a load time of 15-30 minutes per game.  It was a quiet close circle jerk community and as soon as the devs made the proper fix... BOOM. Million dollar fucking tournaments.  I am lucky to have been a part of the early DOTA days and I'm thinking the same for HUC, but on a much much larger scale Smiley.

I'm losing faith I'll eve recover my HUC from my wallet. There's just no way I could sync it, it stops responding as soon as it's opened  Cry

10k HUC probably gone to wind.

Similar boat, but it is 100,000 HUC

When did you buy them? I bought a lot back when the price was $0.70 per HUC... we might as well console each other and continue trusting in this project which I still have full faith in  Smiley

I'm still buying... but I've fucking dropped the ball lately on my other projects that raises money for my digital currency stuff.

Same here. I sold off my mining rigs and used the money to buy more HUC. I took a look at the market atm after a long time of not noticing it, found out the few DRK I had were finally worth something, cashed in on those and here I am shaking my head at how poor the market is at the moment. One thing I will never understand about the cryptoworld is how crapcoins such as XC reach that sort of marketcap, and HUC doesn't get any attention at all.

It will. Just give it time. Also, when the block is smaller we need a trusted exchange to get their shit together. Maybe go politely ask Crypsty once a day or so Tongue

If you build it, they will come!

8295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.6 HARDFORK MANDATORY UPDATE on: June 01, 2014, 07:53:04 AM
lol i watch you shibes talking about doge and i feel like you guys are living in another universe.  No sense of the market and the fundamental law of supply and demand at all and refuse to face reality.  If I could short this coin, i really would.  Since there are so many people here trusting this coin so much, anyone want to lend me some doges so I can short it?  I will pay you 10% annual interest for borrowing your doge.  Aka i will return 110% after 1 year.

Anyways, the market is flooded with this coin.  The coin is not more special than any other crypto out there.  It's a fad that has reached its end of life.  The prospect of uncapped supply scares people even more.  With BTC rising this fast, there is even more incentive for people to move doge to BTC.  You guys are like the bank of England trying to prop up the pound (go google it) while being oblivious to the market conditions.

Actually you are worse than bank of England, at least BoE had 10 Billion pound to prop it up (yet still failed), but you guys are all talk and have no money.  To quote one guy, your "social conscience" is worth exactly 0 BTC in the eyes of a supply and demand based market.

I don't mean to be harsh, but I'm just telling you how the real world works and why doge is falling.  You talk like there is some kind of conspiracy against doge.  That *might* be true if doge was a stock, and people got insider informations and/or people can short this coin and/or there are stock options available for trading, but in a crypto market where there is no shorting or options trading, the only way for a crypto go down is if everyone is selling doge.  Face it, there is simply too much supply and not enough demand, compounded it with fear and uncapped coin, you got a free falling doge.

I would flip everything I made in DOGE back @ shorting it. I 100% agree.

How is that different? Your mind can't produce a way of getting infinite doge, either. For that you'd need; an infinite amount of time, and an infinite amount of hashpower.

Your mind doesn't need to produce infinite doge at this point, the code does that for you.  Time is infinite and is going to come whether or not we want it to! Hashing power has 0 effect... the number of coins isn't based on the hashing power.

There will be 5.25 billion coins per year if there is 1gh/s and there will be 5.25billion coins per year if there is 10000 gh/s!

Of course, but if there's a high hashing power, that's shared by thousands of miners, do you really think they'll make significant selling pressure, bigger than the buying pressure of all those who have yet to convert some of their fiat to cryptocurrencies?

I don't think there will be any "buying pressure" for DOGE... such tipping currency!

People will use their fiat for Bitcoin. Bitcoin won't flow into doge for the reasons I have outlined above.

Only time will tell though I guess, but I've said my weekly piece.

Stop saying that there's an infinite amount of coins, that sounds ridiculous. There's also a theoreticaly infinite amount of gold in the universe, and that means nothing since both gold and cryptocurrencies take a lot of time and ressources to be mined. And cryptocurrencies have the advantage that mining them is predictable, and can't be changed neither arbitrarely, nor with the advance of better technologies. Even with the perpetual inflation, this is still a great store of value.

There is a infinite number of Dogecoins!!! You sound ridiculous!! 5.25 billion new coins every year = infinite! Aka fo eva!!!

You can not show me a infinite amount of gold in the universe, but I can show you the code for a infinite number of DOGE.  Even if you could show the gold your mind couldn't produce away of getting it. Unless you use DOGE as a fund raiser to sponsor a trip to Uranus or where ever all this theoretical gold is.

DOGE is a HORRIBLE store of value! Jackson was blasting on his FB how Bitcoin shouldn't be treated as a store of value or a investment... so what would make DOGE any different (way worse IMO.)

Thanks for being part of the problem Lynn. I'm sure the community will appreciate you in the near future Wink Keep arguing theory vs fact... that should work out well Cheesy

DOGE has the potential to be a great store of value, but not with the current structure. (mind you I do like doge and I want to see it last... that is why I am posting this shit.)
